“We love Him because He loved us first.” - It is natural and good to reciprocate love to the source of its arising. In so doing, the finite human being is transformed into an infinite light.

In order to know true Freedom- without which true Creation is impossible- one must be free within themselves to choose between Good and Evil, which are the visible manifestations of the Higher and Lower Intelligences, respectively.

It seems clear, at first, that the angelic figure is a representative of good, and the demonic figure a representative of evil. But, upon further consideration, one may observe that both angels and demons exist in accordance with their own nature. Thus, a demon which behaves as though an angel has sinned against itself, whilst a demon which behaves as demons do is truly good - each in accordance with its own kind. It is for this reason that Satan is called The Prince of Lies: he turns beings against their own souls, and so oppresses their innermost essence. Therefore, let angels and demons freely make war with each other, and let each person live truly to themselves. Morality depends not upon adherence to dogma or social convention, but upon the free expression of that nature which is inalienably ours, and given to us by our Creator. “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.“ - Matthew 10:34.

Without Love, the universe could not exist. We were conceived by it and, from the moment of birth, yearn for its touch. In the aesthetic style of William Blake, this series of illustrated verses strives to comprehend a world born of love; to give voice to its awe-inspiring power. In conceiving of the first thoughts and strivings of our cosmos, let us look not to science or mathematics, but to the teachings of the Tao Te Ching: “If you want to know me, look inside your heart.”
