But since October 7, these kinds of attacks have intensified.

Constitutional rights advocates have called this a McCarthy-era moment for speech, suppression, and university campuses are on the front lines.

“The Beginner” by John Lewis & Partners  

The Beginner shows a dad-type learning to skateboard. Set to the tune of Blink-182‘s punk pop tune All The Small Things, what appears to be a midlife crisis turns out to be a perilous attempt to bond with a new foster child.

In a Christmas advert landscape of ‘look at all you can buy here,’ John Lewis is using its power for good. For real good. Highlighting the plight of children currently residing in the care system, this Christmas ad shows it has so much heart.

“She” by  Gabe Ibáñez

At J&B we want everyone to be able to celebrate at Christmas, without anyone being left out. But, sadly, at this time of year many LGBTQ+ people feel uncomfortable or rejected in their own families, and can't celebrate with them. For this reason, we have made this Christmas story starring a grandfather and his family. In addition, we have the interpretation of Ella Di Amore, a 26-year-old multidisciplinary trans artist, who gives voice and visibility to the collective. We would like this story to make us reflect, so that at this time of the year there can always be room at the table for acceptance, respect and, above all, celebration.

The audiovisual piece was created by the creative agency El Ruso de Rocky, and was directed by Gabe Ibáñez.

This was the starting point for our new 2D animated commercial piece for Chobani. “Dear Alice” is a love letter from a grandmother to a granddaughter and an optimistic vision of the future of farming. It’s a nostalgic look towards a new era of agriculture, with beautifully crafted backgrounds, delicate animation and a completely unique score by long-time Ghibli composer (and absolute legend) Joe Hisaishi. People love cats. And cats love milk. So we wondered what would happen in a world in which cats evolve opposable thumbs. And so the campaign was born: a whole new world for Cravendale to show that Milk Matters.

The campaign helped establish Cravendale as UK’s number one branded milk in a market dominated by own label. It contributed to 9% YOY sales uplift in a time of unprecedented commercial pressure. The ad was voted ITV’s Ad of the Year by the good people of the UK.

The Mighty Grand Piton by Wesley Louis

The Mighty Grand Piton is a short film about a young British girl, Connie, who travels to the Caribbean Island of Saint Lucia for her school holidays with her family. There, she accidentally awakens a giant robot buried under the Twin Piton mountains on the south of the Island. This robot seems compelled to protect Saint Lucia but his origins are mysterious. No one knows where he came from or how long he’s been there. During the many years he’s lain dormant, The Mighty Grand Piton, became nothing more than the stuff of legend.
