I went birdwatching for the first time with a friend (a couple of months ago). It was such a nice day. To honor the experience I made this zine. Drawing and painting the birds I could remember seeing, was as fun as being there :)

Vor ein paar Monaten bin ich mit einem Freund das erste mal Vögel beobachten gegangen. Zu Ehren dieser Erfahrung habe ich dieses Zine gemacht. Die Vögel, an die ich mich erinnern konnte, zu malen und zu zeichnen, hat so viel Spaß gemacht wie dort zu sein :)

In this weird time I started reading Fernando Pessoas "The Book of Disquiet". I feel like his remarks are incredibly fitting for a time in isolation, so I decided to put one part of the book into my zine. Sometimes you need to see the bigger picture, as every day might seem to repeat itself and everything feels like it is closing in on us.

In dieser seltsamen Zeit habe ich begonnen, Fernando Pessoas “Das Buch der Unruhe” zu lesen. Seine Beobachtungen scheinen für mich unfassbar in eine Zeit der Isolation zu passen, also habe ich mich dazu entschlossen einen Teil des Buches in mein Zine zu schreiben. Manchmal muss man das größere Bild sehen, da jeder Tag sich zu wiederholen scheint und sich alles zusammen zu ziehen scheint.

Once upon a time, somewhere in a university… 5 (okay, originally 6) students met each other. Nothing but a vision connected them at first. The vision was: Once a week, every one of the five creates a zine. Like in every good story, the common challenge of the weekly goal bound them together. The five strangers became five friends: The Weekly Zine. But just like every cheesy story, this one comes to a happy ending. We are investing a lot more time in our friendship and our studies; and at the same time less time in zines (you might have noticed that). But how is The Weekly Zine going to continue? First of all, we want to thank you, for supporting us on our journey and giving us positive feedback. Without you we would have never yada yada yada. No, seriously: Thank you <3 Admittedly, we view this project as finished, but will continue to post zines on this account. Just not in a weekly rhythm anymore. And to start right away, we wanna put some attention on the upcoming #quaranzinefest, which will take place on 4th and 5th of April. We will join this amazing digital initiative and invite you to join us. Right into the next zine adventure!

Es war einmal, irgendwo in einer Hochschule. Dort trafen 5 (naja, eigentlich 6) Studierende aufeinander. Außer einer Vision verband sie zunächst nichts. Die Vision da lautete: Einmal in der Woche produziert jede*r der 5 ein Zine. Wie in jeder guten Geschichte, schweißte sie die Herausforderung um das wöchentliche Ziel zusammen. Aus 5 Fremden wurden 5 Freunde: The Weekly Zine. Doch wie jede kitschige Geschichte, bekommt auch diese ihr Happy-End. Wir investieren immer mehr Zeit in unsere Freundschaft und das Studium, und immer weniger Zeit in Zines (wie ihr vielleicht bemerkt habt). Doch wie geht es jetzt mit The Weekly Zine weiter? Zunächst einmal möchten wir euch danken, dass ihr uns auf dieser Reise unterstützt habt und wir auf so positiven Anklang gestoßen sind, außerdem hätten wir ohne euch niemals bla bla bla. Nein, ernsthaft: Danke! <3 Wir sehen dieses Projekt zwar als beendet, werden aber dennoch weiterhin diesen Account benutzen, um Zines zu posten. Nur nicht mehr im wöchentlichen Rhythmus. An dieser Stelle möchten wir auch auf das bevorstehende #quaranzinefest aufmerksam machen, welches am 4. und 5. April ansteht. Wir werden daran teilnehmen, und laden euch dazu ein, euch uns anzuschließen. Auf in das nächste Zineabenteuer!

I was gifted this lovely zine for christmas along with all the needed ingredients by my lovely friend @peppa_ann_. I've already tried it out and it's definitely worth a try.

Mir wurde dieses tolle Rezept-Zine zusammen mit allen benötigten Zutaten von der lieben @peppa_ann_ zu Weihnachten geschenkt. Mittlerweile habe ich es schon ausprobiert und es lohnt sich wirklich.

Have you heard of aquafaba? No, it's no special art material. It's the magic that turns some ordinary chickpea water into delicious mousse au chocolat. Yes really, for a perfect vegan mousse au chocolat you just need to whip the liquid you find in a cheakpea can and mix it with melted chocolate, then put it in the fridge for some hours and then enjoy it with the people you like most!

Habt ihr schon mal von Aquafaba gehört? Nein, das ist kein besonderes Künstlermaterial. Das ist die Magie, die gewöhnliches Kichererbsenwasser in köstliche Mousse au Chocolat verwandelt. Ja wirklich, für eine perfekte vegane Mousse au Chocolat müsst ihr nur die Flüssigkeit aus der Kicherebsendose aufschlagen und mit geschmolzener Schokolade vermengen, dann für ein paar Stunden in den Kühlschrank stellen und dann mit den Menschen, die ihr am meisten mögt, genießen!

1,5 years later and it finally happened: the third installment in the rausch series is here! it's been a while since I did one of these, and since then, my approach has gradually shifted. rausch (III) is a collection of recent images, some of which were created for my bachelor thesis. this time, I was more interested in letting the zine grow instead of constructing too much.

Dass wir das noch erleben dürfen: rausch ist zurück mit einem dritten Teil! Teil 2 ist eine Weile her (1,5 Jahre um genau zu sein), und seitdem hat sich mein Ansatz langsam weiterentwickelt. III ist eine Sammlung neuerer Bilder, die teilweise für meine Bachelor Thesis entstanden sind. Dieses Mal ließ ich das Zine wachsen, anstatt es akribisch zu konstruieren.
