my usual physical-pigment painting palette is alizarin/quinacridone red, cad deep yellow, ultramarine blue, phthalo green, and titanium white. has a nice range, very saturated, tends towards cold but can do warm tones pretty well!
I loved layabout blue! How long on average does it take to make a film? It looks so ridiculously labor intensive.
thank you!
Depends very much on the process and how much other work I'm saddled with. This one took two semesters-ish, working on it between other courses. The way I made it wasn't particularly efficient; I *should* be making more small "assets" that I can composite digitally and reuse throughout the film, but here I tried to keep everything in the physical drawings so I could spend less time digitally fiddling.
