what is the mafia's thoughts on snatcher and how he was the prince but due to tragic events and queen vanessa he became this evil ghost dude?

I’m gonna drop the Mafia thing for this, because I feel like it’d be easier to convey how I feel about Snatcher/The Prince without needing to keep up my Mafia voice.

I adore Snatcher, and in fact it was his back story that drew me into A Hat in Time in the first place. The tragic death that he didn’t deserve, his cocky personality, how in Subcon there’s remnants of the past kept almost like the forest itself clings to the scraps of what it once was, all of these started my fall in the AHiT fandom.

I will admit, when it comes to the Headcanons I come up with and post, I try to avoid Subcon and its residents, but that’s moreso due to how much content there is about them. I don’t want to accidentally steal another person’s headcanon and claim it as my own after all.

But at the core of it, this is my take on Snatcher. I think he’s someone who once was trusting, and kind, and loving. I think that what happened with his death hurt him far deeper than any physical pain imaginable could hurt, and it broke something deep within him.

I think he desires to be the once controlling whatever relationships he has with others so that he never ends up hurt out of the blue again.

I think he’s cultivated his image specifically to drive people away, and to separate ‘The Snatcher’ from ‘The Prince’.

But most importantly to me, I think that no matter what he can’t snuff out who he was when he was alive. From the use of contracts, to his treatment of his minions, there’s little remnants of him in his core.

But then again.

Those are just my headcanons.

The reason why Hat Kid uses time pieces as spaceship fuel rather than for time travel alone is because they can affect space just as much as they effect time, allowing distances that would normally be impossible to travel much shorter.

Headcanon (it's dark): Moonjumper would've been the child that Vanessa and the Prince had together. He probably died in the womb or shortly thereafter after Vanessa did the ice witch thing. Alternatively, she couldn't bear the idea of the Prince paying attention to anyone but her and "lost" the baby...

Oh, this thought makes Mafia sad. It is a good headcanon, but Little Grey Man is right with it being dark.

Do not tell boss, but Mafia adores cats, and idea of Little Prince Man covered in cats makes Mafia feel warm inside.

Mafia would give catfish for this, but Mafia only has normal fish. Perhaps Little Grey Man can draw cats like Prince with fish?
