oct 21 | The last week of classes is finally here! I feel on top of my reading and exam preparation at the moment so I have spent a fair bit of my weekend reading, going out for dinner with friends and my partner, and going to the cinemas (I saw First Man - it was amazing!). Spending the last stretch of my Sunday reviewing and writing notes for my criminal law and contract law readings.

Here’s a look at yesterday’s organic notes and my August spread! I’m so excited for it to finally be spring (and my birthday 🙊) in a month! But before then, I have a truckload of assignments to bang out 😒

Study notes for oral communication! ✨ Tbh, I don’t really like this subject + I don’t think I have chemistry with it 😂 However, it’s a compulsory subject so I had to take it 😢 Till now, I still think it’s a wonder that I got A for it cuz I screwed up my midterm paper 😳

This week seems so busy. I swear my criminal law essay will be the death of me - a week to write a 2.5k word law reform essay on torture in Queensland. I’ll be glad to see it gone.

Productive afternoon! I slept in until 11.30am which is unheard of for me! At first I regretted it, but actually I gave my body what it evidently needed , and I’m glad! This afternoon/ evening I copied up and colour coded all of Seneca letter 57, and I did all but one section (bc we haven’t covered it in class yet) of the annotations too! Really need to crack on with some memrise tomorrow, and perhaps some more globalisation reworked notes too. But I have volunteering in the afternoon for a couple hours + work in the evening, so I’m not expecting to get too much done.

I haven’t really done any school work since Monday, except a tad on Wednesday evening. Fair to say, I am VERY overloaded now. But that’s ok, mental well-being is important, and I did what was best for me. After spending a lovely day with my grandparents, I got to work this evening. I copied up my translation of some of the Aeneid ive lost, and learnt that translation. Then I had dinner and went babysitting . And, while at babysitting, I: - adjusted my to do list - made customised to do lists for the next few days ( it was SO daunting to see that list of EVERYTHING and not knowing where to start. Breaking it down and prioritising was probably the hardest thing I did this evening, but definitely the most worthwhile) - put all my geography work into a proper organised folder, rather than the little plastic wallet it was messily in - answered a 6 mark source geog qu - caught up on some notes from a geog lesson I missed on different types of volcanoes - I actually did it myself rather than copying (for once)! - read through my plan, and wrote the intro and first para for a 20 mark essay. I’m v proud of the quality of it, for once Pretty proud ✌️✌️

Classes got canceled today because of snow ٩(๑❛ワ❛๑)و On the downside, I’m pretty sure I failed my chem quiz the other day even though I studied lmao I wanna die. I did well last semester and now I’m starting this semester so badly lol 💀 But that’s okay, I just need to work my ass off much harder this time. Finally started Grey’s Anatomy though and it’s taking over my life so there’s that.
