Thom Yorke
Confidenza Original Soundtrack
====
As a Thom fan I always enjoy when he works on new projects. Being as objective as possible here this one although complex doesn't do much in regards to moving the listener. There are elements of some smooth jazz horns and string instruments with Thom vocals on a few tracks, but overall I don't think the soundtrack adds much value.

THE TORTURED POET'S DEPARTMENT
====
Rising album and each track just feels good on the ears. Even thought the album is over an hour each track can standalone and is very interesting on it's own. As far as her putting out too much content, I get it; she is. She also just put out another double album for this, but I'm not going to review that. She didn't need that project and it's not going to move the needle anymore. I wonder what she is trying to do now? She has the world watching her every move. Lucky for her the projects are all at a very high quality.

Yes, this is a real band. Their 2016 album. Only 4 tracks, but it's more than enough. Their newest album is from 2018 and has 18 tracks which is too much to even think about. This is more shock metal than anything else, but it's actually not as bad or lazy as I would have anticipated. They really boarder on being serious and completely off the rails.

I'M DOING IT AGAIN BABY!
====
The lyrics are painful. About as vanilla and shallow as you can get. These are recycled beats and overall just low effort. Each track I was hoping it would get better, but it gets worse as it goes on. Perhaps this artist just isn't for me, although I did enjoy her 2021 album 'if i could make it go quiet'.

Vampire Weekend
Only God Was Above Us
====
This isn't a band that I typically listen to or have ever really listened to. Their hits were back in 2008 and 2013, but for one reason or another although I had friends go all out for them, it wasn't something I was into. This album is getting very high praise, maybe from nostalgia? It does have that consistent sound that reminds me exactly of a Vampire Weekend songs which I really enjoy. I can't say that this album speaks to me personally, but I respect them and respect high-quality music.

Something in the Room She Moves
====
Immediately when the album starts you understand that this one is going to be different. There is a significant amount of effort and care put into the mixing and the songwriting is much deeper than I initially anticipated. A lot of this is experimental tracks which I appreciate that sound more tribal than anything else. Like she describes it's very free-flowing and probably has to be very free and liberating for her. I respect these types of artists so much. This is a highly regarded album in my opinion.

It sounds exactly as what I would expect from a PND album. Love the DMX in track 1. It fits really well. Unfortunately, that's the highlight of the album. Songs have pretty much the same beat and although PND is super smooth, it doesn't do much in regards to elevating his status. The album cover actually got more pop than the actual music which is a big problem for PND.

RIP. Always listen to Mac on 412 day. Music from a simpler time. The boom bap production is so simplistic, but it hits right. There are undoubtedly better Mac albums but this is one that I haven't spent as much time on.

The title directly means "misery" and in conversation it means happiness and sadness and a balance.
I don't think a debut album needs 20 tracks. There are a lot of different influences that I noticed like afro while also Colombian and noted Peruvian music, which is cool and different. There are also a few skits in here while it being her debut album, they don't make sense. No one cares yet.
The tracks themselves are 'ok'. The vocals are too light and airey throughout without much change throughout the album. She's getting a lot of praise from other blogs, but I fail to see why.

The First Omen (Original Soundtrack)
====
A lot of wailing and just overall cheap thrills type of score. Going from quiet to loud, the string instrument build up that we've heard before and has been done many times over. It's something that isn't moving the needle in any way whatsoever. There are scores that move you and this is just middle of the mall again from Mark Korven.

Contempoary highly technical piano. Nothing not to love about this if you're a fan of music. Just an extremely well polished piece.

Death Is Little More
====
This album feels like much more chaos, and not in a good way. The breakdowns are still hard, but when they added to the chaos (especially in track 3), it loses any sense of structure and composition. There are a few moments in here that go hard and that I can find hope, but a big let down from a band with a highly anticipated album.

I saw the album credits and WOW--there's so many. For an album to have this amount of producers and writers it needs to be spectacular. The writing is 'good', but IDK how to feel about it--is this actually her voice or the 30 other people involved in the project? The album does carry a consistent theme, which I appreciate, but I literally don't know what to do with this as someone who listens to broad range of music.

Tiger's Blood

Well produced hard to hate album. Waxahatchee has never really been someone who I actively listen to since she's a bit folk-heavy, but it's she's still someone whom I have alot of respect for especially when it comes to the songwriting.

This is the perfect album to listen to on Easter Sunday especially with the album art.
I've been waiting for a long time for this deathcore album. I've been very impressed with their previous work, and this really builds onto what they have done. They really sound like 'As I Lay Dying' which isn't a bad thing at all, especially in track 6 'Love Thy Enmity'. I really just wish they would have mixed this better (especially track 1), that's the only thing missing from their music at this point. Get some professionals in to polish it up.

Our introduction to Tyla. The next R&B pop wave. She is getting an incredible push, but a very timid response from the blogger network. The thing is that the album is good; it's a bop. Regardless if this is a one time thing or if she can pull this off again, it doesn't take away from the well produced mass appeal work here.

Charli XCX
Boiler Room & Charli XCX Presents: PARTYGIRL
====
THE SET IS PRE-RECORDED. Per the top YT comment: 'this will be played in gay afters for generations'. I get it. The production on the video and overall her command of the crowd makes her lack of ability to actually DJ insignificant. This is what people want. All she really is doing is pressing a few buttons with adlibs and effects, but again noone cares because the music is fire.
She's not even DJing the entire time, just some random coked out John Lennon dude takes over while she's just interacting with the crowd. No one seems to care at all and the party continues; it's everything that is wrong with the industry is in this video, but again no one cares as do I.
