(a repaint of my other version of this piece, because I thought I could do it better.)
(reference images can be found in my twitter thread for this piece)
Image ID: Eris morn from Destiny 2, reclining against rocks, her chest and abdomen covered with a shroud. Her arms are raised to hover below her Ahamkara bone orb. Her right arm shields her face so only her eyes peek above the arm. They are glowing green. Her body is covered in deep scars from bullet holes and claw marks. The background is two jutting rocks set in front of something akin to a lavender-coloured sunrise. The image is based off Cabanel’s “Fallen Angel” painting. Eris is portrayed here with tan skin, brown hair cut short and shaggy, and a hive-like carapace surrounding her three hive eyes. End ID.
yknow i never noticed the sheer rareness of images having ids or alt text on this website until i started adding alt text to my art (and trying to remember to add it to any images i post in general, especially text screenshots) and that makes me kinda sad
hi im mentally and physically disabled as well as mentally ill and the distinction is meaningful to me because I experience different kinds of executive dysfunction depending on which issue is effecting me at a given time. if you want to nitpick about my subjective experience of mental illness and disability, please make your own comic.
Image descriptions: 4 square graphics with text on plain backgrounds. The first two images say "You can use their chosen name" in large text, followed by "it's not hard." in smaller text. One is yellow text on a light pink background, and the other is in black and white. The second set of images say "You can use their chosen pronouns" in large text, followed by "it's not hard." in smaller text. One is light green text on a blue background, and the other is black and white. End ID.
a response to cis “allies” finding it very difficult to treat trans people with basic dignity
"YOU'RE FAT" Oh my god for real? I didn't notice. I'll walk into traffic now you've changed my mind on my existence good bye
It's genuinely funny going to block transphobes in the notes of my comic and seeing them reblog their own transphobic posts that get like a small handful of notes. Like yeah no shit your posts don't get any engagement, you're a weird hateful asshole who thinks people that get a little unique with gender need to be removed from the earth. Get a hobby
emily gwen, the creator of the sunset lesbian flag that we’ve come to commonly use, still continues to live in poverty.
multi-billion dollar companies have used their design and made profit from it, and yet they have not seen a cent for their creation.
i’ve been friends with emily for years, and i have not once seen them be financially stable the entire time. i’ve seen them homeless, unemployed, starving. right now, they need our help more than ever.
please consider donating to emily’s ko-fi, especially if you’ve used their design to create something and profited from it.
does anyone know if there's a way to turn off replies on a post. there are weird people in the replies to my comic and while they don't bother me I wanna keep the space safe for other more vulnerable folks
It's been overwhelming (in a good way) to see the positive response to my comic, to get messages from friends and strangers abt how they feel seen by it
I love being trans and I love the trans community so much. Mwah
