2014 was super crazy and stressful but also lifechanging for me. Thank you everyone for all the support you have given me especially on my Silmarillion work in the past year. There’s only a couple months left till my Senior Thesis Exhibition! And December of this year I’ll be graduating with my BFA!

I’m really thankful for all the wonderful friends I’ve made in the Tolkien fandom.

And of course a huge shout out to the company, I love you guys so much I don’t think I’d be here today without your constant support and beautiful friendship. You guys are seriously my family and my love for you makes me feel so alive.

I love you all I hope this year will be blessed for everyone and I can continue to share more art and jokes with you all!

It was never his intention to sleep past the sunrise. Normally he would have bolted awake the moment light seeped into his room, but something barred him from habit this time. Perhaps it was a bodily change and adjustments were happening that he was unaware of. Whatever the case, he did find the extra sleep a bit nice, a sort of treat for his hardships. After all, he had been working very had the past couple of days, and while his body didn't ache, his mind did ever so slightly.

His body would stretch out among the bed, long limbs nearly covering the expanse of the structure whilst his sheets lay spread all over the place. Something stung in his mind, begging for him to wake up least he upset his mentor. And suddenly that stinging turned to a small tickle in the centre of his chest, one that brought a smile to his face. But as the tickle continued and as it worked it's way up his chest, Eärendil forced his eyes open to find a peculiar little hermit crab climbing it's way up his form. Rather than having fright, the half-Elf only chuckled softly before lifting the creature into his hand and sitting up fully. Silver eyes centred on the crab for a moment before slowly moving to gaze at his instructor; standing before him with a stare that could kill.

" I did not mean to oversleep.." The young elf would whisper, using a free hand to pull his matted golden braid over his shoulder." You are not angered, are you?"

The sun was beginning to crest and break over the mountains and foothills to the East and there was no sign of Eärendil.  Normally the young elf beat him to the dry dock where they were working on their latest ship.  He scratched at the back of his head as he checked along the length of the shore.  Squinting in slight, he tried to discern whether or not the young elf was among those carefully walking amongst the rocks and reef beyond the surf but the golden curls were not there.

A hermit crab scuttled over his bare foot and he reached down to carefully scoop it up before he headed back to the cluster of homes.  A smirk was forming and he was polite to those he passed on his way to Eärendil’s chambers.  There was no reason or need for locks and so he let himself in only to find his apprentice still sound asleep and sprawled on his bed.  Carefully, he set the hermit crab down on the center of his chest and waited for it to feel safe enough to begin to scuttle about again.

" I feel well. A bit fatigued, but nothing I have not experience before." The younger nodded his head lightly in agreement with his statement before allowing his stare to meet with his father's. " Are you doing anything of importance this day, father?"

" My beloved father," Earendil would reply proudly with a soft smile to accompany his words. " How have you been?"

He parted quickly from the elf, dashing as fast as he could to create a great distance between himself and the other elf in a matter of game that they most commonly played.
