Currently set in January of 1983, our DISCORD group has a war looming over its head. We are an established roleplay that can be found HERE. A brief overview of what has happened in the group so far can be found HERE. Our most recent plot drop is HERE.

The Ministry is unaware of both developments and appears to be ignoring the warning sides. Death Eaters were thrown for a loop at the Dark Lord reappearing seemingly out of nowhere while the Order of the Phoenix earned the shock of Dumbledore disbanding the group.

The two sides are working in the shadows with a few spies in their midst. It is only a matter of time before a full-out clash ensues. Which side will you choose? The lawful good of the Order, the Death Eaters that don't mind playing dirty to get their point across, or one of the blissfully involved that make of the neutral?

Originally reported on the 14th, the Daily Prophet is disheartened to announce an update on the missing shop owner. Hendrix Zonko was located deceased inside the Ministry of Magic’s visitor entrance in a particularly gruesome scene. A dark mark was cast over the phone booth and the Ministry is hard at work to discover the reasoning behind it. An official announcement has yet to be made about whether or not this is an isolated attack or more is expected to come. The public is being asked to proceed with caution at this time.

A body was located among the rubble of what was once Zonko’s Joke Shop’s storeroom after the explosion. Members of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement secured the scene and have been preventing passerby from entering the premises. A source close to the Prophet stated Pandora Rosier was dumped unconscious in the storeroom and is recovering at St. Mungo’s. The DoMLE and her family neglected to comment on this development.

Several shrieks echoed around the street, with the panic growing upon spotting a dark mark cast over the building. Abraxas Malfoy, Gideon Prewett, and Marlene McKinnon have been credited with securing the scene and ensuring the Department of Magical Law Enforcement was notified promptly. The initial sweep of the building revealed no one inside the store or on the upper level. It is believed Hendrix Zonko is missing, with the Auror and Hitwix teams working closely to find him. PRESUMED DEATH EATER ATTACK IN HOGSMEADE

TRIGGER WARNING: Violence, explosion, kidnapping, abuse/neglect of a person, death, dark mark over a building, ⁠death eaters running amuck referenced below. Proceed with caution.

17 January 1983: Editor's Note

Originally reported on the 14th, the Daily Prophet is disheartened to announce an update on the missing shop owner. Hendrix Zonko was located deceased inside the Ministry of Magic’s visitor entrance in a particularly gruesome scene. A dark mark was cast over the phone booth and the Ministry is hard at work to discover the reasoning behind it. An official announcement has yet to be made about whether or not this is an isolated attack or more is expected to come. The public is being asked to proceed with caution at this time.

17 January 1983: Pandora Rosier ALIVE

A body was located among the rubble of what was once Zonko’s Joke Shop’s storeroom after the explosion. Members of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement secured the scene and have been preventing passerby from entering the premises. A source close to the Prophet stated Pandora Rosier was dumped unconscious in the storeroom and is recovering at St. Mungo’s. The DoMLE and her family neglected to comment on this development.

A notably unremarkable morning in Hogsmeade was interrupted by an explosion as one of the stores crumbled to the ground. Several shrieks echoed around the street, with the panic growing upon spotting a dark mark cast over the building. Abraxas Malfoy, Gideon Prewett, and Marlene McKinnon have been credited with securing the scene and ensuring the Department of Magical Law Enforcement was notified promptly. The initial sweep of the building revealed no one inside the store or on the upper level. It is believed Hendrix Zonko is missing, with the Auror and Hitwix teams working closely to find him. No other information about the disappearance is available at this time. Dark forces may be at work and we plan to provide a thorough report once the Minister makes a statement.

Several passersby were caught in the path of fallen debris. Lily Potter narrowly avoided being hit by fallen stone, while Mary Macdonald was struck by debris, receiving treatment at the scene. Amos Diggory and his son appeared rather shaken up as they gave an eyewitness report to law enforcement personnel. The two were taken to St. Mungo's, with our reporter and photographer getting flipped off by father and son for trying to pry for information before their departure. Daily Prophet reporters were barred from getting close to the scene. We are uncertain about the extent of injuries and destruction at this time and have been asked to encourage witnesses to contact the Department of Magical Law Enforcement if they have information relevant to the ongoing case.

With little information to go off of, the Ministry as a whole is at a loss. There is reason to believe the Death Eaters are attempting to resurface. No news of the Dark Lord's return has been shared with the public. Alecto Nott, Amycus Carrow, Antonin Dolohov, Emma Vanity, Rita Skeeter, and Tav Nott have been publicly praised by the Dark Lord for masterminding the attack.

Currently set in January of 1983, our DISCORD group has a war looming over its head. We are an established roleplay that can be found HERE. A brief overview of what has happened in the group so far can be found HERE. Our most recent plot drop is HERE.

The Ministry is unaware of both developments and appears to be ignoring the warning sides. Death Eaters were thrown for a loop at the Dark Lord reappearing seemingly out of nowhere while the Order of the Phoenix earned the shock of Dumbledore disbanding the group.

Death Eaters and neutrals wanted!

We currently have a cap on Order members and would ADORE a few more neutral and evil characters in the group. We accept original characters as long as they have a canon surname. Maybe you and a friend want to explore Crabbe or Goyle Sr.'s family dynamics. Death Eater in the war, the spouse is a socialite who maintains a "neutral" approach toward things while supporting their spouse or sibling. There are countless ways to do it and we would love to see a player or two pick one of them up! Bellatrix Lestrange, Igor Karkaroff, Corban Yaxley, Walden Macnair, and Augustus Rookwood are among our open Death Eaters, with our being happy to welcome a few OC's. We have Arthur Weasley, Gwenog Jones, Edgar Bones, Arabella Figg, Benjy Fenwick, Hestia Jones, Caradoc Dearborn, Amelia Bones, Otto Bagman, Daisy Hookum, Ludovic Bagman, and more available as neutrals with the potential to join either side once numbers even out a little. There's also a chance of having neutrals take on the Dark Mark as long as it is discussed with an admin when applying.
