◆Festival Futura 2023◆

My piece “Intersection" was interpreted by Jonathan Prager in Festival Futura 2023 on August 24-27. Ayako is directing the sounds for Takeshi Yasura's solo exhibition on June 16-July 25, 2023 at On Sundays / LightSeed Gallery (basement of Watari-um Museum).

保良雄さんの個展「種子だけに趣旨が - this ground is still alive in Jingumae」（2023年6月16日〜7月25日、ワタリウム美術館地下オン・サンデーズ/ライトシード・ギャラリー）のサウンドを担当しました。 展示空間に散らばせる音を作りました。地方から東京へと運ばれてくる野菜が聞いていた音たちを集めて構成し、リサーチのために訪問した石巻での体験もその空気まるごと切り取って組み立て、そこに存在しているものたちをゆるやかにつなぎます。

Ayako will be organizing a concert in Tokyo on April 1, 2023, in collaboration with acousmonist/composer Tomonari Higaki. ◆Award at the 18th Seoul Indie-AniFest◆

Short animation film “OUR 2” (Director: Song Yungsung, Music: Ayako Sato, Voice: Akaihirume), based on "La Vita Nuova" and "La Divina Commedia" by Dante Alighieri, won the Special Prize for Music/Sound at the 18th Seoul Indie-AniFest. This is the second work our trio has produced together. The first one, "Creative Evolution," also won the Jury Special Prize and the Special Prize for Music/Sound at the same festival in 2019.  サウンドを担当した短編アニメーション映画《我々の2》（監督：ソン ヨンソン、声：赤い日ル女、音楽：佐藤亜矢子）が、韓国の映画祭 Seoul Indie-AniFest 2022 にて Special Prize for Music/Soundを受賞しました。 2021年イタリアの映画祭 Ravenna Nightnare Film Festivalでプレミア上映された本作は、ダンテ・アリギエーリの『新生』、『神曲』を題材としています。2019年に同じ映画祭で審査員特別賞と音楽特別賞をW受賞した《創造的進化》と同じトリオで制作した2作目でした。 ・Seoul Indie-AniFest

◆International UPISketch Competition 2022◆

Ayako’s piece “lllllliiinnnees” has received the Second Prize in the category C (Professional – UPISketch and mixed techniques) of the International UPISketch Composition Competition 2022. The concert dedicated to this competition will be held on September 29, at the Maison de l'Université, Université de Rouen Normandie (Mont-Saint-Aignan, France).  　 This competition is part of the "Meta - Xenakis" program that is taking place around the globe in 2022 as a centennial celebration of the life and work of Iannis Xenakis (1922 – 2001), and is the first competition to use UPISketch, an application inherited from UPIC, a computer tool invented by Xenakis and his team at the CEMAMu (Centre d’Études de Mathématique et Automatique Musicales) for composing music with the help of drawing. 電子音響音楽作品《lllllliiinnnees》が、国際 UPISketch 作曲コンペティション 2022のカテゴリーC（プロフェッショナル - UPISketchと混合技術）で 第2位 になりました。9月29日にルーアン大学（フランス）で受賞作のコンサートが開催されます。 このコンペティションは、作曲家イアニス・クセナキス(1922-2001) 生誕100年を記念して2022年に世界各地で行われているイベント「メタ - クセナキス」の一環として実施されました。およそ50年前にクセナキスらがCEMAMuで開発した、ドローイングによって音楽を作曲するためのツール「UPIC」を継承したアプリケーション「UPISketch」を用いた初めての作曲コンペティションです。 ・Meta - Xenakis

◆Festival Futura 2022◆

My piece “Line is Whispering” and a short animation film “NOTRE2 (OUR2) for which I composed the music (Director: Yungsung Song, Music: Ayako Sato, Voice: Akaihirume) were programmed in Festival Futura 2022 in Crest (France), on August 23-28. Interprètes: Tomonari Higaki for my piece, Nathanaëlle Raboisson for our film.   In addition, I joined as interpreter (player) for Futura for the first time -  for seven pieces by Bruno Capelle, Luc Ferrari, Hideki Umezawa, Victor Wetzel, and Cendrine Robelin -, and I selected the music I played at Nuit Blanche (all-night concert). 2022年8月23−28日にクレ（フランス）で開催されたFestival Futura 2022 にて、8chのサウンド・インスタレーション《線は密めく》のステレオ・バージョンと、佐藤が音楽を担当した短編アニメーション映画《我々の2》（監督：ソン ヨンソン、音楽：佐藤 亜矢子、声：赤い日ル女）が上演・上映されました。演奏は檜垣智也氏（線は〜）、ナタナエル・ラボワソン氏（我々の2）。 また、5名の作曲家（Bruno Capelle, Luc Ferrari, Hideki Umezawa, Victor Wetzel, and Cendrine Robelin）の7作品をアクースモニウムで演奏しました。 ・Festival Futura

◆Destellos Competition 2022◆

Ayako’s acousmatic piece “and our2” was awarded the third place by Public Jury in the International Destellos Competition on Electroacoustic Music 2022. “and our2” is derived from the short animation film "our2" (Director: Yungsung Song, Voice: Akaihirume) for which I was in charge of sound design.
