For humans, it’s back-to-school season. For bats, however, it’s time to go back to their caves, along with their recently born bat pups. Here are some great facts about bats in honor of their return to the caves this August!

Bats usually have one pup a year, and sometimes they’ll even have twins.
Bats can digest food in just 20 minutes.
Bats enjoy grooming themselves. They even lick behind their ears.
