“...I would not say that.” Avexis kept her gaze locked onto the task at hand of once again sorting her belongings in the small pack she’d managed to sneak out of the Gallows under her skirts. The conversation did little to ease her nerves and the circle mage couldn’t help but anxiously await the return of Hawke’s pirate friend with resources to get her out of the city. One of the Divine’s closest confidants had entrusted her with getting this information back to Orlais. 

“Maybe once there were opportunities for a longer leash from the Templar’s scrutiny. That was before my time there...” Or perhaps it had all changed when the dragons attacked the Ten Year Gathering? There was no way to know for sure. “The mages used to be allowed out of the tower with special permission, whether to serve under some noble or volunteer insight at the university. Now we are all restricted to the tower under the highest supervision...My being in the Free Marches is... a calculated exception.”

I am somewhat new...and have yet to venture farther than the Mage’s tower.” Though a big part of that had been out of fear if any attention was drawn to herself then she would be extradited to Orlais to face judgement for her escape from the Spire.
