Consider: Klavier's band is law-enforcement themed because the subject makes it more immune from criticism by his family, and hides his earnest feelings in his songs behind six layers of cop and lawyer metaphors.

And the band is called "the Gavinners" to center his family and his legacy instead of himself and his bandmates, also deflecting criticism from his family who don't approve of his choice to be a musician instead of upholding family traditions.
