Sincerely, Me (Bang Chan x Reader)
Chan dedicates a song to you publicly to announce your relationship.
Tumblr media
You shuffled into the aisle right behind the V.I.P. section. As you sat down, you looked up at the ceiling and took a deep breath. The blaring overhead light slightly tinted in your big sunglasses, and your arms crossed your chest, holding yourself into place as yelling fans filtered in on both sides of you.
Seeing Chan live was always a hassle. He wanted you to be protected, to have bodyguards around you in the crowd to keep you safe, but since your relationship was still a bit more on the low, you didn't want to appear too out of place in a sea of his biggest admirers. The two of you settled for a guard strategically placed with you in sight and his stylist on speed dial.
"Baby, call me when you get to the car after the show okay?" Your boyfriend said hastily as he downed another glass of water while waiting for his turn in the makeup chair.
"Chan, I always call you. I'll remember," You said with a giggle, letting your hand fall into his as he rubbed small circles onto the top of it.
"I know baby, but... just make sure you do okay?" His smile beamed up at you, a flight of pearly white.
You nodded, leaning in and kissing his forehead and then his lips before letting go of his hand and walking out of the dressing room. You were quickly whisked into a side door and dropped right past security. You slyly flashed them your badge in your pocket before walking down the stairs to the floor seat your boyfriend purchased.
Even though you'd seen this show twice already this run, your nerves were through the roof. Suddenly you were taken back to the moments in your teens, waiting for your favorite celebrity to jump on stage. You felt your heartbeat quicken as the music boomed through the speakers, mixtures of squeals and singing ringing through the rows as the fans hyped themselves up for the upcoming performance.
You admired the rows of bracelets that lined their wrists, the way they linked arms and sang at the top of their lungs together, crying tears of joy as they waited for the boys you know so fondly moved around the stage in a hurricane of speed and sound.
You felt oddly comfortable in this moment. Able to blend in so seamlessly with everyone else. You knew better than to think it would always be this easy. You knew that if you and Chan lasted as long as you hoped you would that eventually he'd have to tell everyone.
Part of you yearned for public acknowledgment. The thought of being able to hang on his arm in clubs, at awards shows, and even on vacations without the fear of being seen was tempting.
Another part of you worried about what would come with confirmation. Your boyfriend gave up his whole life for this career, and you didn't want to be the one to tear it apart. You wanted him to be successful, to continue to be able to produce songs he loved with the people he cared about the most.
You must have been lost in thought for a while, as the only thing to bring your eyes back to center stage was the sudden dimming of the lights and the loud screams tearing through your eardrums. Your breath caught in your chest as you rose out of your seat and joined them in their screams.
The booming sounds of the song rang through the speakers and you heard the familiar howl of your boyfriend. You giggled, clapping with everyone as they cheered them on. Chan found his place in the center of the stage to greet the crowd.
"What's going on Sydneyyy?" He smiled as they met him with a big smile. He nodded at them, throwing up a thumbs up to show how impressed he was.
Your eyes met for a second and you swore he winked at you. You shook your head, thinking that he wouldn't be that careless tonight. Still, your heart warmed at the thought of his risk and you yelled out their names in time with the rest of the crowd.
The set moved quickly, and as they ran through their solo sets you could feel your feet wearing on you. You sat down as the stage flipped over to black for a moment. You cursed the moment you decided to quickly throw on your Converse instead of your Docs, feeling your toes throb through the thin material of the shoe. You rolled your ankle back and forth, pressing your thumb to the side to release some pressure. Your efforts were put on pause as you heard a voice from above.
"Ma'am, follow me."
You looked up to see the smile of a bodyguard that you know well. You looked up at him in confusion, a furrow in your brow. He didn't say anything more but just stretched out his hand to you. You took his hand hesitantly and let him guide you out of the aisle. You watched as fans eyed you down as you moved closer and closer to the stage. You could feel your heartbeat in your throat as you followed his lead to the front row in a center seat next to his parents.
Chan's mom smiled at you as you moved closer to her. You nodded and smiled back at her. Why were you moved to the front so suddenly? Surely fans took videos of this girl being taken directly by Stray Kids security to the front of VIP. Chan's dad's giggle shook you back to the present, him chuckling over your shell-shocked reaction.
You opened your mouth to speak, but you were quickly drowned out by screams as someone reentered the stage. You heard a familiar accent yell out to the crowd again.
"Ahhh so it's time for my solo stage..."
You looked up and watched your boyfriend take the center once again. He looked over at you with a wide smile, clear as day in the summer sun. You felt shivers take over your whole body as he maintained eye contact as he spoke.
"I have a special song that I wrote..."
The crowd screamed again and you could feel his parents' eyes on you. You could have sworn you felt the flash of his mom's camera on your cheek but you were too focused on his dark brown eyes to fully notice anything else anymore.
"I wrote it with someone special in mind," his eyes comb through the crowd before landing on yours again. He winked in your direction.
"This one's for my baby."
You could have sworn you felt your heart leap out of your chest as gasps and screams took over the crowd before the base kicked in. Your boyfriend places on his big sunglasses, a big smirk stretched across his lips. You felt frozen as you watched a performance you've seen several times before with a new perspective.
A song you thought your flirt of a boyfriend wrote just to make his fans go crazy, was about you? You caught him giggling on Bubble, and bringing the fantasy to life with fans every night... why wouldn't he tell you?
Despite your racing thoughts, you managed to bring a small smile to your face, clapping along to the familiar beat. Chan continued to put on his same charming choreography as he sang so sweetly. He pointed out in the crowd to several random fans before returning over to your side of the stage, beaming ear to ear.
"Baby I'll show that you’re the one," he sang, almost giggling through the lyrics. "Like a diamond ring such a pretty little thing you’re blinding everyone."
You felt yourself blushing as he winked at you before quickly moving back across the stage. Your nerves were swapped for a swelling amount of warmth in your chest as you sang along. You finally looked over at Chan's mom, her phone in hand as she filmed you. Your cheeks burn red as you shake your head and return your gaze to the stage.
Watching your rockstar of a boyfriend was always a treat, but something more bubbled to the surface when you knew he was singing directly to you. You have a lot of things you want to say, but you aren't really sure where to start. Ignoring the flight of what-ifs, you just allow yourself to enjoy the rest of the set.
As Chan ended his song, you quickly heard the sounds of disgust coming from the members reentering the stage. Filled with "oohs" and "ewws," they relentlessly teased Chan, shoving him back and forth like a ping pong ball.
Finally, they let him go, moving on to the next song with ease. You let yourself settle back onto your feet and simply just enjoyed the rest of the show. You sang with his mom, danced around with Hannah, and giggled at his dad's failed attempt at singing as you celebrated the boys.
As the final song ended the boys came back to the center of the stage to do their ments. You held back tears for everyone until it came to Chan. He came to the side of the stage and stood right in front of his family.
"...And I want to thank the ones I love the most for coming to the show tonight. Mom, Dad, Hannah... and my baby you know I love you. Thank you for making tonight even more special to me in one of my favorite places in the world," Your eyes widened as he continued. "I truly couldn't do it without you all."
He bit down on his lip as you stared at him. He had just done it. So casually in front of thousands of fans. He did what you never thought might not happen until you had announced an engagement. If even then. This acknowledgment brought tears to your eyes, as you smiled into the pink sky.
The set went dark and you hurried to grab your belongings and follow his family out of the venue doors and into the hallway below the stage. You finally let yourself fully take in the moment when away from all of the people and the cameras. Hannah's arm wrapped around you as you quietly wiped tears from your eyes. You look over at her to find her smiling.
"You guys are so sappy..." She joked, leaning into you as you two walked.
The family followed security to their car and you made your way to the tiny black car Chan called for you. As you felt the air conditioning hit your face, you brought the phone up to meet your gaze. You typed in the number you knew as well as your own and pressed it to your ear. It rang twice before you heard a familiar laugh.
"Baby, so what did you think?"

Shock and Awe (Bang Chan x Y/N)
Based on this performance video I saw on Twitter bc... yeah. Slightly suggestive... but nothing too wild.
Tumblr media
You watched with wide eyes, gazing at the gruff performance that he was giving on the stage. Every movement was messy, but he looked so self-assured. His normally warm facial expressions peeled from his face, ripping that beautiful smile away and leaving in its place, a firm brow and an angry, open mouth.
It had been a long time since you had seen him this fired up during a performance. He was so in his element that he’d probably need to take a few minutes after the performance to breathe and remember exactly where he was. You tried to meet his eyes, but you knew every attempt would fail as he was too into the moment.
You kept that smile on your face as you watched him tear up the stage for the rest of the song. His fans screamed and cried out as they watched the whole group jump up and down singing their hearts out. But your gaze never left him.
The way his dark eyes filled with passion, the way his skin shone with sweat dripping down it under the heavy lights… it was amazing that he was still standing at this point. You were drenched sitting in this hot room and you haven’t made a move in an hour.
As the final moments of the stage disappeared, you watched as Chan took his place in the back of the formation, panting heavily as he held up his signature pose, stoic for a moment. Within seconds that smile spread across his face again and he ran off stage as if your heart hadn’t been beating at two-times speed watching him.
You shook your head, tearing your gaze from the stage to look down at your water glass and take a sip as you gained your bearings. You knew you’d have to leave as soon as you came, with the kids jet-setting to another schedule before the show even ended. You gave them a breather of around 15 minutes before one of your staffers came over and tapped you on the shoulder.
You knew the routine. Keep yours and Chan’s profile low as long as you can to not rile up the fans until you can’t anymore. Every sneaky car ride, private plane, and scheduled driver was worth ending up in his arms though. So, you grabbed the bottom of your dress, gripping it above your shoes and making a hasty exit without another word.
You stopped by your dressing room to take off the floor-length dress and slip into something more comfortable, pulling your hair up into a ponytail in an attempt to cool yourself down.
As you slipped into the sleek black car, you took a deep breath, letting the air conditioning kiss your face as you leaned back into your seat. A soft cough caused you to re-open your eyes in a panic. You turned to your left and were met by that bright white grin again. You roll your eyes as you feel his hand grab yours.
“You’re insane Christopher,” you start with a soft giggle leaving your lips. “Anyone could have seen you.”
He lifted your hand to his mouth and pressed a kiss to it. Your nerves slightly left as that knowing smirk pulled the right side of his mouth.
“That’s part of the fun,” he said, a husky tone overtaking his voice. Proving that he most definitely strained his vocal cords with the intensity that he brought to today’s performance. “Plus, these windows are tinted anyway…”
He continued to press kisses up your arm, leaving goosebumps in their path, until he reached your neck. His plush lips met the base of your neck with two open-mouth, wet kisses. Your hand pressed forward, pushing his chest back.
“Do not… get any ideas,” You laugh loudly at your boyfriend’s eagerness. The driver was very clearly still in the front of the car. There was no way you were letting this move any more forward than it already has. “You’re already testing your limits Bang.”
He seemed to ignore your hesitation, pulling himself back into you and bringing softer kisses back to the top of your neck near your ear. He wasn’t going to make this easy. You could hear his smile form again as he leaned in even more to whisper in your ear.
“You know… I could see you watching me tonight…” He started, giggling to himself before continuing that thought. “I feel like you want this even more than me.”
Your blush poured across your cheeks. Thank god for the darkness of your surroundings right now because you would have definitely given yourself away. He’s not wrong. From the moment you saw that homemade jagged hem of his makeshift crop top as the lights brought him into focus, you knew you were screwed. It was only made worse by the almost barbaric energy that he brought to his movement.
But you were a woman of your word. You told him from the beginning of your relationship that you weren’t comfortable with PDA in public. Not yet at least. Even if the "public" spaces were made as private as they could be. You saw boy group members torn to shreds for being seen with a woman before. Campaigns lead against them forcing them to leave the only career they’ve ever known.
You knew your fans would be disgruntled too, but you were far more concerned about Chan. You knew how much he’d always wanted this. All of that training, all of those late nights in the studio… he’s put in too much to have it all taken away for a kiss. A hand-holding scandal. A public relationship.
You sighed quietly to remind yourself of the gravity of your current situation before pushing him away again. You turned yourself toward him and softly touched his cheek with a soft smile. He watched you with wide eyes as your thumb swept left and right. You leaned forward and pressed a short kiss to his lips.
“You’re not wrong, but you need to be careful,” you pressed another peck. “I care about you too much to let my lustful want for you cloud my judgment.”
He let out a sigh and reached out for your hips “I’d give it all up for you.”
You rolled your eyes “You better not.”
He raised his eyebrow in a challenging fashion. His face leaned into yours and the force of his neck kiss pushed you back up against the car door. Your eyes widened as you watched his pupils dilate as he rose up above you.
“Don’t… say that again.”
You nod silently, your hand reaching out to him again. You felt his breathing calm and you lifted yourself up to kiss him.
“You know what I meant baby,” you said before chewing on your bottom lip. “I want you… you know that. Just not here. I promise.”
He nodded, falling back into his seat. You smiled to yourself, thinking about your boyfriend’s intense reaction to a simple denial of a kiss. The smile widens as you hear him huff again.
You look over at him and although he may be looking out the window and keeping his distance, you look down to see his hand in yours. His thumb rubbing circles on the side of your palm as you drive. His compromise it seems as you push forward into the night sky.

Peace (Bang Chan x Y/N)
Tumblr media
A little angsty, based on Taylor Swift's Peace as requested here
You twirled the straw in your drink as you watched the clock. It was nearing 11 p.m. and you still hadn’t heard from him. You checked your phone. No notifications.
It wasn’t anything new. Chris had always taken his time in the studio. He was a perfectionist at heart and he’d stay in that broken-down gaming chair until the early hours of the morning. Only coming home to wash his face, kiss your cheek and fall asleep.
You knew better than to wait up for him. You knew that creating this large meal, splurging on the good champagne and then sitting at the dining room table that night for him. But here you are, in your best dress, with a watered-down drink and a dejected spirit.
You knew you couldn’t blame him. You knew what you signed up for when you said yes to being his girlfriend. You knew that it would take time and energy out of your life waiting for him to come home. As every good musician's girlfriend does. But it doesn’t make it hurt less when things fall through. When he doesn’t call. When you go to bed alone.
You blew out the candle to your left, downed the rest of your drink and walked away from the table, picking up dishes as you go. You rinse your empty plate in the sink, wrapping his in tinfoil and setting it in the fridge. Walking upstairs, you’re met with the slow, soft music that you’d been playing on a playlist for hours, with the hopes of delighting in the soft jazz sounds with the love of your life later in the evening.
You lower the volume and walk over to the bathroom. Wiping a wet cloth across your face, you look at the reflection staring at you in the mirror. What a pitiful excuse for a smile, you thought, as the corners of your mouth forced themselves upward. Makeup gone, you scrub the skin with your cleanser and rinse it clean in the sink. As you lean down to wash the water across your face, you feel hands slowly wrap around your waist.
“Baby, I’m sorry.”
You sigh quietly, instructing him to grab you a towel. He does, and you quickly dry your face before turning to face him. You look at the dark circles under his eyes, dragging your fingers across the creases as you stare at his hollow expression. He looked exhausted, and your heart immediately sent a pinch to your chest.
“Chan…”
He interrupts you, “I know I messed up. Again. I always do.” His hands shift to your waist again, keeping his eyes on you.
“It’s okay,” the only words you can get out before your voice catches, tears welling in the corners of your eyes.
Chan immediately pulls you closer, his hand reaching up and holding your head. He rubbed soft circles with his thumb on your scalp as he felt you start to shake. he bit his lip and let you cry. Your tears dampen his shirt as he hushes you softly.
Finally, you come back up to meet his eyes. Yours now dry and red, you’re sure you look like a mess. But as you gaze into him, you see the same familiar haze looking back at you. It’s enough to produce tears for you once again, but you hold back the emotion from spilling out again.
“Will it ever get easier?” You say, hands playing with the hem of his t-shirt as he kisses your head.
“What do you mean baby?”
Your lip quivers as you think over your response. Your hand stops its movements, and you slowly meet his gaze again.
“Missing you… missing us.” You lifted your head up to stop tears from forming again. “I- I’m just having a hard time with you not coming home... not showing up."
You look back down at him and he nods, pulling you closer to him. He presses a soft kiss to your lips.
“Baby…” he sighs, kissing your neck softly. “I don’t know if it will get easier… but I’ll give you all I can now.”
Your breath hitches in your throat as he continues to kiss down your shoulder before meeting your eyes again. His eyes sprint across your face, trying to read your emotions but it drops below him as you look at your feet. He watches as you chew your bottom lip, your hands nervously touching his sides. He brings a hand to your chin, lifting your gaze.
“I promise to give you the world once I make it.”
You sigh. Knowing this speech all too well at this point. It’s the talk they always have when his intense schedules, his late-night travels, and his early morning writing sessions interfere with your life. You know that he means it, as much as he can right now. He’s shown you how much he loves you when he can. But it just can’t be all the time.
“I know…” You try to look away from him again, but his hand holds sturdy.
“Y/N, I mean it.” He searches your eyes for worry, but he can’t seem to find any clarification in the dark pools of brown. “I want to give you that ring you deserve. I want to give you that big wedding of your dreams. I want to create a home filled with beautiful babies with you.”
Your eyes go wide, a soft gasp leaving your mouth. “Babies?”
He nods, gaze shifting for a moment before returning. You can see the water fighting the urge to release itself behind his eyes.
He had never mentioned kids before. He had never mentioned a wedding. You let yourself indulge in this fantasy for a moment. Him dressed in black, you in a big ballgown of white... kissing at the altar after saying “I do.” You want that with him. You do.
But the nights alone, the uncertainty that comes with his tone when he gets home from an extremely rough day. The letdowns. The missteps. You wonder if the promise of those somedays can fix the now. Can fix the way your heart drops as you sit alone, watching him on TV, living out his dream without you.
Would it be enough to know that this will go away someday? That he promises it will all be worth it. To have a big home, with a garden and a dog and kids. Years of bliss after this hard work.
You sigh again, hands moving upward toward his shirt collar. You muster a soft smile on your face as you straighten the seams and brush the stray hairs that had fallen into the creases. You finally look back up at him again. He’s smiling down at you. You can tell that his cheer doesn’t meet his eyes either. But you won’t tell him you notice.
“Chan you always promise…” you start, wrapping your hands around his neck. “But I don’t know how long I can hold this promise. I miss you too much.”
His smile drops “Y/N, I don’t know what else I can do. I can just promise you that it will be different,” his arms circle your waistline, pulling you in to place a kiss on your forehead again.
“It won’t be perfect right now, but it’s what I have.”
You pull back from him and tilt your head up. You let your eyes travel to his lips and back up to his eyes, inviting him in. He takes note and leans down to press a kiss to your lips once again.
You can’t get yourself to pull away from him, letting his lips slot themselves between yours, kisses building in strength as he leads you over to the bed. As he hovers above you, you lean up to grab onto the small locket he holds around his neck. You open it to view the picture of you two inside. You close it again and tug him forward by the chain.
You may not know if this is enough. Your mind may change in time. But all you know is that you need his chaos, his presence, his absence in your life. And that would be enough, for now.

Picture Perfect (Bang Chan x Y/N)
Tumblr media
Chan feels uncertain about his style choices, and you're determined to make him feel good about them.
Throwing on the oversized jacket, Chan tilted his head. Studying his appearance in the mirror, he sighs.
“This jacket feels… like a lot,” He starts, spinning back toward you. “What do you think?”
You smirk. The jacket was very Chan. Simple. Black. Sturdy. He loved being decked out in black clothing. You cross your leg, leaning a little to the left to drink him in fully. The simple rolled jeans, the big bulky brown shoes and a plain white t-shirt. Although the outfit may look simple, you couldn’t help but admire his effort.
He shook his head at you “Your silence is killing me…”
You bit down on your bottom lip, lifting yourself off the bed and over in his direction. Your arms wrap completely around him as you approach, leaning your head back to look at him again. His dimple is popped as he smiles down at you, taking the opportunity to wrap his arms around your waist too.
“I think...” You start, giggling a bit under your breath under his gaze. “I think you look so cool, Bang Chan.”
You watch as his cheeks begin to flush pink, rolling his eyes at you as he taps your backside lightly. You reach up on your tiptoes and press a kiss to his cheek, bringing the color on his cheeks to a bolder red.
“Baby… don’t tease me.”
You shook your head, pressing your lips to his cheek once more before looking him in the eyes again. You tightened your grip around him with a wide smile splashed across your face.
“I’m not teasing honey,” you started, admiring the crinkle of his nose. “You know I love your style. Simple, but effortlessly sexy.”
You would have thought Chan’s head was going to explode the way he stared at you wide-eyed. You just giggled again, pressing a kiss to his lips this time and sticking your hands in his back pockets. He pressed two, three, four more to yours.
Finally separating, he releases your waist and grabs your hand. Guiding you towards the door, you can’t help but gaze at him as you wander through the living room and out the front door. He had put on that musky cologne that you loved and let his hair drape naturally and wavy on his head.
You had actually begged him not to take you out to a fancy restaurant for once. You longed for a casual, lowkey date night like when you first started dating. Nervously trying to come up with questions for each other to answer as you walked up and down the streets of Seoul. Eating street cart food and looking over at the water before he’d throw his jacket over your shoulders and walk you home.
Now that Chan’s group has made it big, he loves to spoil you. Not that you can complain. You have every perfume, tiny black dress and big romance book you could ever ask for. Fancy five-star dinners just to celebrate the tiniest accomplishments you had at work.
But what you were really craving was just time with him. He had been so busy. First the Maniac album and tour, and then several follow-up projects within the last year… he was nonstop. He’d of course always make time for date night, but it never felt right that you didn’t get the time to just be with him. To be relaxed. Not trying to perform for anyone in particular. Even if it’s just his leveled-up innate kindness to the waiter. You knew that Chan just did this to show you how much he loved and valued you, and you never wanted to feel ungrateful.
That’s why a few nights ago when you brought up the idea of a chilled winter walk and with a quick bite to eat, he looked at you gobsmacked. He fully sat down on the couch next to you, your hands in his, rubbing soft circles on the tops.
“Baby… are you unhappy with our dates lately?”
His eyes were wide and pleading. You shook your head furiously and squeezed his hands.
“Oh god no Channie nothing like that… I just,” you stop, chewing on your bottom lip for a moment. “I just want a night where we can just let go together. No dressing up, no fancy dinners… just us.”
He nods, staying quiet for a moment. His hands dart to your intertwined hands as they rock back and forth.
“Chan…” He looks back up at you with wide glossy eyes. You shake your head and lean up to touch his cheek. “Oh baby, I love everything that you do for me… but I just want a simple night out this time. I promise you’ve done nothing wrong.”
He leaned into your touch, pressing his lips to the side of your hand before looking back at you and nodding, a soft smile across his lips.
So, now you were hand and hand with him, walking leisurely through the darkened streets, filled with bright lights. You smiled to yourself as you watched Chan take everything in. It had been a while since he had been this silent. You slightly shake his hand that’s in yours to get his attention. He looks over at you and his lips curl up slightly.
“Channie baby, are you okay?”
He nods “Yeah, I just….” He sighs, rolling his neck back and forth before stopping the two of you and pulling off to the side of the street.
“Chan?” You were getting anxious now. Maybe he hated this idea and didn’t want to do this lowkey date night. Maybe you had crossed a line.
“Chan,” you started again, your eyes darting across his face. “If you don’t want to do this, it was a silly date idea anyway and-“
Chan zeros back in on you, viciously shaking his head back and forth. He pulled you in closer, but his eyes stayed glued to the ground.
“Do you think…” he sighs before continuing. “Do you think this jacket looks like I’m trying too hard?”
You furrowed your eyebrows together “What do you mean?”
Chan sighs again, eyes finally meeting yours with a pleading stare. “I don’t know, this whole brand name stuff is kind of new to me… I just don’t know if it suits me.”
A small smile pulls across your face as you look at your bashful boyfriend. He looked good effortlessly, and it blew your mind that he thought anything otherwise. You knew his friends would make silly jokes about how “aesthetic” his Instagram has become, and Stays everywhere begging for designer brands to swoop him up in a deal. They all meant well, but you were sure that Chan felt the pressure to look cool.
“Chan… I think you look so cool, baby…”
He sighs “You’re not just saying that?”
You cocked an eyebrow, “Have I ever lied to you?”
He shook his head quickly, leading your smile to widen even more. Your eyes take in your surroundings. In the distance, you see a cool, open building. You weren’t sure if it was actually open, but you had an idea. You grabbed Chan’s hand and started running down the street. He protested, asking a lot of questions but letting you pull him along behind you.
Once you stepped up to the building, you pulled at the door. It opened with ease, and you quickly pulled Chan inside. Once you were inside the building, you smiled looking up at a plain white staircase ahead of you. You tugged on Chan’s hand, pulling him in front of you.
“Go stand up there.”
He looked at you in confusion, staying where he was. “Why?”
You let go of his hand, reaching up and shoving his shoulder forward.
“Just go! Trust me!”
Chan strolled up the stairs, looking down at you in confusion. You grabbed your phone, pointing it in his direction. Once you have your placement you smile up at him. Chan is still thoroughly confused, standing at the side of the staircase.
“Baby,” you call up to him, pointing him toward the middle. “Go to the middle of the staircase.”
He still looked confused, but walked sideways and inched toward your placement. He looked at you expectedly, waiting for his next direction.
“Okay, so I want you to put your hands in your jacket pockets. He followed your instructions and you giggled to yourself before moving forward. “Now I want you to turn your face to the right and smile, and act like you’re walking down.”
“Baby what are you…”
“Just do it, Chan.”
He raised an eyebrow at you. Your cheeks flush pink once you realize how sharp your tone has been.
“Please, baby?”
It’s his turn to chuckle at you. He follows your instructions and you snap a few photos. You look back up at him with a smile before looking down at your phone and scrolling through the pictures.
“Perfect!”
Before he can ask any more questions, you guide him upstairs and set him down in a chair. He looks at you bewildered, watching you post his hands, resting his elbows on the sides of the chair and spreading his legs ever so slightly before moving back to the side.
“Okay baby look slightly to the right again, but this time let your face just sit naturally.”
“Y/N…”
You pout, lip jutting out as you look up at him. “Chan please, it will only take a second.”
He complies, letting you snap a few more photos before pulling him outside. His giggles ring through your ears as you pull him back onto the street. Before you can pull him down the road again, his firm arm pulls you back into him, a small smile pressed against his lips as he looks down at you.
“Sweetheart, what are you scheming…”
You bat your eyelashes at him, widening your gaze. “Nothing Channie, just helping you get Instagram photos. Is that okay?”
He smiles even wider “Baby why do I need Instagram photos right now? That can wait-“
You interrupt him, your hands grabbing at the sides of his jacket, bouncing on the balls of your toes.
“But Channie, this outfit is so perfect. Let me just take a couple more please please please?” You pout again, his hand coming up, finger tapping against your lip, silently instructing you to put it back in.
“Fine baby, but then we’re getting you something to eat,” He grabs your hands, feeling the chill of your palms.  “and something warm to drink because it’s getting cold and you didn’t bring mittens.”
You nod, biting back a squeal. You push Chan a bit back from you in front of the Deli sign. Just as you raise your phone again, snow starts to softly fall from the sky. You smile as you see Chan try to capture some into the palm of his hand. Your heart melts, quickly switch over to the record button to take a quick clip of his antics.
He finally notices you filming and motions “no no no” trying to lower your camera. You frown, shaking your head.
“But Chan you are so cute. I have to keep that video.”
You show him the quick clip, loving the way he shies away from your eyes as his cheeks turn rosy. You quietly take a few steps back, snapping two photos of him smiling without knowing before he pleads for his release.
“You’re done now baby,” he says, taking the phone from your hand and placing it into his pocket.
You giggle to yourself as you grab his hand again, this time letting him lead you down the corridor to a nearby shop. You lift his hand up, pressing a kiss to it quickly. He turns back around, halting you both. He leans forward and captures your lips. As you pull away, he smiles brightly at you.
“Handsome,” you mutter softly, keeping your eyes on him. “You are so so handsome baby, don’t forget that.”
He presses his forehead into yours for a moment, leaning in for one more quick peck before guiding you down the freshly fallen snowy path.

Help Me (Bang Chan x Reader)
Based on Chan's recent bubble messages.....
Tumblr media
She heard the door to the hotel room open and slam shut, causing me to turn my head to the side and see her boyfriend come into view. He looked tired, but he was smiling. Deep bags under those painted eyelids and sweat still dripping from every visible surface of his body.
Every performance took it out of him. He would always come home exhausted. But she couldn’t help but smile at the fact that he still made sure to kiss her lips and tell her goodnight no matter how late his mixing or recording or performing fell into the late evening or early morning.
His eyes finally met her gaze and her eyes crinkled at the sight of his scrunched nose. He dropped his bag by the bed and fell to her side on the mattress, lazily wrapping his arms around her waist and whining dramatically. She giggled, letting her fingers graze up and down his hands, admiring the veins popping against his skin.
“Mmm,” She started softly, leaning her head down to kiss his head. “Are you tired baby?”
She leaned back and watched as he rose to a sitting position. He nodded slowly, before letting his head dip back into the crevice of her shoulder, nuzzling into her.
“You’re all sweaty, I shouldn’t even let you near me,” She said through giggles.
His head shot up quickly, his lip jutting out into a pout before whining again. She rolled her eyes before bringing her hand forward to touch his cheek. Her thumb grazed against the skin, watching contently as his eyes drifted closed with her touch.
“Baby let’s get you in the shower,” She said with another kiss to his temple.
He shifted again, turning to face her. In one quick motion her had wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her into his lap. Her cheeks ghosted with pink as she met his close gaze. His eyes wandered her features for a moment before settling at her lips with a smile on his. Leaning in, he pressed his lips against hers softly. As they pulled away, his eyes widened as he looked at her.
“What Chan?” She said, bringing her hand up to his hair and combing her fingers through it.
He continued to stay silent, bringing his lip inbetween his teeth as he stared at her. She couldn’t help but admire his face from this close. His nose was so cute, slightly dusted with freckles. Those blue eye contacts, slightly jarring at first, but melted into his aura perfectly after one long look.
“Baby.” He started, running his fingers up and down her arm, leaving goosebumps in his wake.
“Mhm, yes Channie.”
His smile grew even bigger at the sound of his nickname. His hands moving down to her waist, he began to draw circles on her hips as he spoke.
“Before I shower, I need to take out these lens…” He said, voice trailing off at the end.
“Right…” She started, leaning her head to the side, eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
She watches as Chan sighs heavily, his shoulders following his breathing. He pulls her even closer to him, earning a squeal from her. She lets her hands fall to his chest, roaming around freely in the silence for a moment. The quiet was broken when Chan made a slight coughing noise, causing your eyes to raise to meet his.
“Can you…” His eyes trailed away from her for a moment before returning. “Can you help me take them out.”
This sent her into a fit of giggles, playfully tapping on his chest as she shook her head. Chan looked at her with wide eyes, waiting for a proper response.
“Chan, I could literally poke your eyeball out,” She said, bringing her hand back up to cup his chin. “I’ve never taken out lens.”
His cheeks become rosy again under her bright smile. She didn’t give him a second become bashful, turning his face so that they met eye to eye again.
“I was just trying to be romantic…” He said quietly.
Her smile widened, leaning in and pressing another soft kiss to his lips. She pecked his lips three more times before forcing herself away from his face.
“And I’m trying to keep you a two-eyed popstar.”
It was his turn to giggle, bringing her body flesh to his and eyeing her down. His hands met at the small of her back, slowly rubbing up and down for a moment before halting as he leaned closer to her face.
“Fine” he said with a sigh. “They can I at least have one more kiss before you force me to shower.”
“Fine,” She scrunches her nose in fake disgust. “Kiss me you stinky man.”
He rolled his eyes before leaning even more forward, her eyes softly closing. Before their lips could meet, she felt her body being pulled forward. She giggled as he toppled them both down to the bed, her falling flat onto his chest.
He tightened his grip around her and smiled brightly at her shocked expression. Finally, she leaned down and met his embrace once again, their lips meeting softly once again.

'Tis The Damn Season (Bang Chan x Reader)
Tumblr media
The freshly fallen snow fell perfectly on top of all of the small rooftops scattered across the brightly lit Christmas village. The one thing I loved about my hometown is that they knew how to make every day of December feel like the warmest cup of hot cocoa on Christmas day.
Each year, the city square was filled with colorful lights and festive decorations. Smiling snowmen and sparkling snowglobes as far as the eye could see. Even the town clock was decorated, counting down to the big day.
This year felt a bit different though. It was the first Christmas without my best friend. It felt weird without Chan around. He was always the most excited about the holiday season. He always met me at my house bright and early with a white chocolate mocha in hand, and brightly colored cheeks.
We would walk these city streets together, ranking the decorations as if we'd ever been able to design anything in our lives. Pointing out broken lights, mismatched decor and corny signs until our stomachs hurt from giggling.
"Ms. Cleveland really could have done better," he'd spit, shaking his head before smiling over at me.
"A shame, truly," I'd nod before bursting into laughter.
I wonder if he's home. His school started Christmas break right after mine. Well, at least I knew they did the last time we spoke. That conversation was still heavy in my mind as I swirled my red cup in my hand, looking at the green and red lights above the old schoolhouse.
It was my fault, I knew that. But nothing could help me shake the panicked look that rose across Chan's face when I told him. When I stupidly said those three words that made me lose him forever.
We were walking over the bridge near my house. Lamposts ahead wrapped in garland and white light. I tried to focus on the festive decor to stop my hands from shaking. I look over at him and it makes it all worse. His jaw had become more chiseled over the school year. His arms were bigger too. But that bright smile never looked a day over 12 years old. Those bright red cheeks brought a soft air of familiarity to my fluttering chest, as I pressed the drink against my lips.
He turned to me with a smile, before it dropped a bit in worry. He stopped abruptly, fully turning to face me.
"Are you okay, Y/N?" He said, reaching out for my hand. "You look like you've seen a ghost."
He pulled me off to the side of the bridge, our arms resting on the plush green leaves as we continued to look at each other. I could feel my throat dry, bringing the tea in my hand back up to my mouth for a quick sip before I nodded. He shakes his head and leans in toward me.
"I know when you're lying, you know?"
I smirked, looking down at the ground. He could always read me like a book. I chewed on my bottom lip for a moment before my eyes rose back up to meet his. I knew I had to tell him now before I chickened out again.
But how do you tell your best friend that somehow over the past six months, you've begun to see them differently. That you wanted to hold his hand like you always did. But you wanted it to mean something entirely different. That you wanted to kiss those red cheeks that you made fun of for years. That you wanted more.
I paused for a moment before sighing and meeting his eyes again. His lips mimicked mine, his teeth biting down on the flesh of his rose-colored lips.
"Chan," I started, scrunching my nose as the winter wind ripped past me. "You said we can tell each other anything... right?"
He nodded furiously, his eyes never leaving mine. I know I cannot un-say what I'm about to say... but if I didn't let him know how I felt that might actually be worse. I sighed again, nodding myself along to let the words fall out of my mouth.
"Chan I... I think I love you."
He smiles at me, rolling his eyes "I love you too, nerd."
I shake my head "Chan, no you do get it... I love you." I put emphasis on the second word, watching as the realization washed across his face.
He slowly nodded, and his lips dropped into an "oh" shape. I felt my eyes watering as his reaction didn't shift to one of warmth. When. he didn't smile brightly at me. I swallowed hard, turning away from him.
"I'm sorry," I yelled from behind me, making my way back to my house and away from his bright gaze.
I heard him calling my name for a moment as I shuffled down the path filled with freshly fallen snow but I couldn't get myself to look back. To see those eyes filled with pity at the dramatic scene I caused. So I pushed forward until I made it through my front door, sliding against it with tears pouring from my eyes.
Chan had texted me a few times the next day. The messages were filled with "we should talks" and "please responds" but I couldn't get myself to hit any of the keys. I would start a paragraph about how I was just kidding and that I didn't mean what I said but I'd hit delete before ever pressing send.
He finally gave up after two weeks of me actively avoiding him in grocery stores and deleting his text messages. Part of me was sad that he stopped reaching out, but another part was relieved that I didn't have to try to have this conversation.
It had been about a year since that encounter. I was finally feeling brave enough to venture out on my own in town. My mom had finally stopped asking where Chan was, and if we had had a fight. My heart stopped racing as we drove through the city past his family's big blue house right outside of the Christmas village. I selfishly thought that I had healed.
Smiling to myself, I let my eyes admire the silver tinsel and bright gold bells adorning that clock tower. I spun in a circle through the middle, giggling a bit as I settled into a standstill sipping sweet chocolate and whipped cream. It was painfully quiet, the market vendors just beginning to set up at the other end.
I decided to press forward to explore the market for once. Maybe find those clay earrings mom wanted or a set of chopped firewood for the fire. As I neared the entrance, I saw a familiar black puffer jacket to the left, carrying baked goods by the crate.
I stop dead in my tracks. I should have known his mom would be here. She makes the best sourdough in town. She has a waitlist for loaves right before the holidays. And of course, he was here helping her. The most caring guy I know, constantly making sure his mother had ample water and never had to lift a finger.
There was still time to turn around. I could spin back on my heels and race back to the house before he even turned my way. But before I could retrace my steps, I saw Chan's mom point in my direction. Chan's eyes followed her arm, and over to my shaking figure. I was frozen in place.
I watched him say something to his mom before setting the crate back into the pickup truck, shoving his hands in his pockets, and walking my way. My heart raced as I saw his body come into view. I picked up the cup and brought it back to my lips, letting my eyes fall to the ground as I heard his footsteps.
What will he say? Will he yell? I'd deserve it. I left without an explanation. I felt my heartbeat in my throat, my hands shaking against the paper cup as I walked myself through the possibilities.
The footsteps stopped right in front of me. He sighed loudly, causing me to look up and finally meet his eyes. Mine widened as I realized he was smiling at me. Shock zoomed through my body, creating goosebumps on my forearms as I tried to maintain eye contact with him.
"So you are alive..." I heard his giggle, dimple popping out on the left side as his smile widened.
I blinked, mind completely blank. "What?"
Chan took a step closer to me, leaning his head to the side. His smile never wavered. I expected frustration. Angry words. Even a little bit of grit to his voice toward me. But none of that aggression was to be found in those soft eyes.
"Y/N. You scared me. I thought I lost you."
I gasped, feeling his hand reach out to mine. I let him intertwine them and fall between us. The snow had started falling again, wrapping us around in a soft white glow.
"I-," my voice shaky as I felt his thumb rub up against the top of my hand. "I'm going to be honest, I didn't think you would want to see me again."
I felt my cheeks warm as Chan shook his head at me. He took another step toward me. Our bodies were dangerously close and I could already feel the heat of his closing in on mine.
"I wasn't the one who ignored phone calls and texts...."
It was my turn to giggle, nodding as I gnawed on my lower lip. He had a point there. I was the one who cut off contact. But that still didn't explain his softness toward me. His hand in mine. His eyes, bright and wide.
"I'm sorry."
His grin grew again "You should be...."
I nodded, lips parted with an apology right on the tip of my tongue. He shook his head as he softly hushed me, and spoke up again.
"Not because I'm angry, but because I missed you," he giggled and his nose scrunched up in the way I like.
"I missed you too..." I said just above a whisper.
We sat there in silence for a moment, eyes just pressing into each other. Finally, he broke the quiet with a sigh.
"You know I love you too, right?"
I shook my head "But Chan..."
He stepped in closer, the space between our bodies fully evaporating. His hand moves away from mine, and to my cheek where he softly captures my jaw, thumb painting soft circles on my skin.
"No buts...I love you."
"Like?"
"Yes, like you love me," He adds, his mouth outstretched into a wider grin, exposing his perfect teeth as he leans in toward my face.
I swallow my pride and let myself melt into his touch. His lips hover over mine, his peppermint breath overtaking my senses. He pauses near my mouth to whisper.
"Just don't run away from me again."
I nod ferociously, gaining a giggle from him once again before he presses his lips into mine. Soft and slow, our mouths crash together in the glow of the Christmas tree behind us. A loud gong of the town bell was the only thing that pushed us apart as it rang in the morning market. He presses his forehead into mine, pecking my lips.
"God, I missed you."
