Dustin and Reader are siblings and they were really close growing up until she broke up with Eddie because he cheated on her multiple times on her with an employee at Staples named Jensen. Dustin was upset at him but he was also upset at his sibling because he loved and cherished Eddie so much that no matter what he did or does, reader should accept his apology and try again with him. (He sees the reader and eddie being together forever and getting married and he wants Eddie to be part of the family)

Reader was hurting badly but she got sick and tired of being hurt and feeling used so she started to love herself all over again and removed the people who have been hurting including Dustin just because he didn't see anything wrong with what he did and had been mean towards her lately for that decision.

One day she went to Wal-Mart to get supplies for a girls night (robin, nancy, barb and even max because I like to think max and reader became close after her losing Billy and her and Dustin falling out) and she ran into a employee and both was smitten with each other when they both laid eyes on each other for the first time. She left that day with a smile on her face but that's all. She will go up there more times after that encounter so she can *accidentally" bump into him and have that 2 minute talk with him but he knew what she was doing and told her that instead of wasting gas to come up here she should call him so they can plan a date so of course that's what she did.

They went on a date and it was simple but they both loved it. Before they went on the date, he asked the reader what's her favorite band and she said the Blue Oyster Cult, which he wrote down to remember it for their date. So he picks reader up and they went and got some food to munch on and went to the highest mountain just so they could stargazed with each other but little did reader know it was a day where the meteor shower had takened place and thought it was a perfect idea to take her stargazing. He lays out the blanket and throws the pillows on the floor while she sets out the food and they just talked and talked and talked while Blue Oyster Cult was playing in the background on his tiny music deviced. That's the first time in awhile that she had forgotten about Eddie and she didn't mind it. She was happy before, but she's excited to see where the future would be with this cutiepie she's with right now. They ended up making out and cuddled with eachother while he points out which stars are what even though he has no idea what he's talking about.

However, Eddie is a hot mess. After the breakup, he didn't care enough about getting her back so he tried to have a relationship with Jensen since she wanted to be with him but he found out that she was using him for her own pleasure and was dating someone else at that time. So of course he was hurting and felt like a fool for believing her but he was hurting more cause he knows exactly how Reader feels like and he regretted everything he had done to her. So you know what he does? He goes to her brother and confessed everything that he had done to her and asked if he could help him speak to her and try to get her back and Dustin agreed because it's a perfect chance to get them together so they tried to come up with a great plan that had takened them a week to figure out. After they came up with something, he asked eddie if he wanted to go and see a meteor shower with him and he agreed because he considered dustin his little brother and wanted to see him happy.

They both went up to the mountain and were getting comfy until Eddie heard a laugh that he is familiar with. (It was a laugh where someone couldn't stop and they ended up snorting) He looked over to see Reader with this guy he had never seen before and was hurt. He was the only one that can make you laugh like that and it hurt to see the love in your eyes with this guy when you used to love him. After seeing this, he was fucked. He left and told Dustin he can't be here anymore so he driven him back home and left to cry in his van. He fucks everything up especially if it's good. It's what he does best.
