Whew, it’s been a minute since I’ve looked at anything BonKai, let alone posted, but this needs to be shared!

Yes I always thought they just took from their original ideas from bonkai for bonenzo alot of bonenzo scenes seem like they fit more with kai then enzo especially that sex scene kat Graham tried but I never felt bonnie was being all hot and bothered by enzo they just didn't work Hopefully one day someone will tell more what their original ideas for kai was instead of just saying he was always going to be evil and nothing else and give us more of a explanation on why bonnie was dreaming of kai spooning her

I actually think the sex scene was a Bonenzo thing because the music/guitar is BE and that in turn is Michael Malarkey's own skill bleeding into the characterization for Enzo. I think if Bonkai were going to have a sex scene there would be magic involved. Think Luka/Bonnie but with a lot more heat, and lack of inhibition. I always imagine Bonkai's first time being magic-induced spontaneity. Working on a big spell, or studying grimoires over drinks, or just after a big battle, and then they just accidentally touch and things explode. And literally explode, because those 2 powerful witches having first-time sex and literal fires will start.

Anyhooo... gone into a bit of fanfiction territory there lol!

I wonder if we'll ever know. I can actually see Julie in a bid to stay relevant ten years down the line, letting a few things slip. But honestly, I don't care because whatever she would have cooked up would still be tinged with her resentment of Kat/Bonnie and even Kai/Chris taking the limelight away from her faves. FF does it so much better. And not just mine, btw. Seriously I'm going down memory lane and reading a lot of the old classics and we have so much freaking talent in the Bonkaimily, it's insane.

I agree with the others that say that scene seemed even more chopped up and edited than usual.  Who knows how long that scene really was considering they probably cut off the juicy parts of their exchange on purpose.  

But to get back to the question at hand, Bonnie seem to have so many hidden or barely mentioned magical abilities and it’s frustrating because who knows when she’s actually utilizing one but it’s not implied - wasn’t it said she was kind of clairvoyant before (pre-S2) too besides being psychic? (Though very similar, I think of psychic like mind reader while clairvoyant as future teller, but there’s a ton of overlap).

That said I wouldn’t be surprised that Kai, due to being a siphon, not only can suck up magic, but also premonitions.  At the very least, can feel someone is in his head as a witch, and maybe see what the others are doing in his head.  So for my longwinded answer, I do think Kai felt Bonnie in his mind and was maybe already to pick up her reactions/feelings even if he couldn’t also be in her head at the same time.  Also Kai’s intuition is very good in general so he probably only needs a little bit of hinting to get the general gist or thoughts others are experiencing.

When Bonnie said "Well I have been a bit psychic lately so we both know your worst fear is go back to a prison world." it was clearly that she got inside his mind (and God knows what she saw there). My question is, you guys think it is possible that when it happened Kai also got inside her mind and saw something too?

What is your thoughts about kai in the legacies and how plec did him was you not surprised like me

I was honestly quite okay with how Bonkai was sprinkled in Legacies. A big part of me was hoping we’d get to see Kai desperately ask about Bonnie a billion times like he did in TVD S8, so I guess I was a tiny bit disappointed that he wasn’t as Bonnie-hungry as I’d hoped BUT that being said, he still asked about “Bon Bon” and subtly mentioned/reacted to Bonnie and her actions/impact in many scenes!

Another very interesting thing I noticed about this^^ scene is around 2:13, when Josie says “what if there was another way to get Bennett blood?”, Kai responds with “nice try at manipulation but I’m not gonna believe you”. That stood out to me because obv if josie offered “another way to get bennett blood”, Kai likely assumed josie meant Bonnie, so the fact that his mind then said “josie is trying to use bonnie as a way to manipulate me” means he’s annoyed that josie seems to know bonnie affects him, and secretly hates that Bonnie is STILL an easy way for people to manipulate him bc he’s clearly very swayed/affected by her even after all these years (and remember Delena literally used bonnie to manipulate him back in TVD 6x13 “it’s bonnie’s birthday today” “…it is??”).

And honestly, the whole Kai and Josie battle of wits in the episode also felt like indirect Bonkai to me (without the sexual attraction part - just emotionally and intellectually), because from what I understand, Josie’s personality in Legacies seems quite similar to Bonnie’s sacrificial, selfless lamb thing.
