I think the review does have a point. I haven’t seen the movie in ages, so my memory is not fresh on that front.

While the series is more faithful, it sometimes feels like it’s dumping a lot of information at once and doesn’t let it have a lot of room to breath(?). Hopefully in season 2 they can fix that since the public will probably be more familiar with the setting.

The movie, in it’s complete disregard for the book, focuses more on being a fast paced fantasy movie. I agree with the previous comment that it only works if you haven’t read the books (which was my case).

This has to be a troll. The movie was ABYSMAL. And it barely had scenes from the book. The Sea of Monsters is worse! They RUINED Tyson’s character.

This is fucked up because the way Tyson was written, he sounded like he was intellectually challenged. The movie completely took those characteristics out and made him a completely different character. Which is ableist as fuck.

I’m hoping we’ll get a good actor that will play as Tyson. More accurate to his character too.

I was driving my steamboat and spinning the wheel. It was sunny and I had the feeling like a movie was about to start, which I was very happy about. Ron DeSantis stared at me.
