i know it's partly just an art style change to reflect his mood, but i find it interesting how the elktaur gets more centaurworld-y when he's around the princess vs when he isn't/later on when he gets more used to her presence. his eyes get larger and he's drawn with rounder shapes.

it's a subtle difference and like i said, it's possibly just an artistic choice because drawing him that way emphasises his giddiness around her. but on a headcanon level, going along with the headcanon that he uses magic to make himself look more "human", maybe this could be interpreted as his normal centaurworld form breaking through the magic a little due to him being surprised/losing concentration around a pretty lady lol
