And Buck and Eddie already have already had years of working on their relationship, even if they haven’t realize the type of relationship they were building toward. Years of getting closer, learning, tearing down walls, being there for each other. And despite all these years they’ve been growing together, the transition from friends to lovers won’t be seamless. They’re gambling with more, so it has to be treated with care.

as you said, Buck is gonna have to test the waters a bit to get a sense of if Eddie feels the same (or the other way around. Or they both could secretly be doing it at the same time). Heck, even figuring out his own feelings is gonna take work. There are other things to consider to. I’m guessing Buck will probably have to wait around a bit for Eddie to work through his catholic guilt, giving any support he needs as he does. Then, if and when they do get together, they have to navigate through the changes mindfully. How do they go about telling Christopher (who may be scared at the thought of dating because, what if they break up and Buck leaves)? Will being in a relationship keep them from being able to work together? Should they jump right into the fast lane since they already have years of acting like they’re married, or should they go back to the beginning and take each step one at a time?

anyway, yeah. There’s work to be done here. As you said, Buck and Tommy don’t have that, no more than he’s had with any of his past relationships. The only thing that’s getting worked through is Buck opening himself up to his bisexuality and getting to a place where he’s comfortable. Isn’t that supposed to be more about Buck himself than any of his relationships?

So didn’t Oliver say something about actually having to work for it in a relationship because with Tommy it literally was no more work than usual. Tommy made the first move ( happened with I think every relationship ship except Ali) Tommy ran and Buck had to go after him (again not the first time) and now they’re “together” I say it on quotations because they aren’t offically boyfriends it’s not hate just logical.

This stuff with Tommy is literally the same old thing it’s just with a man instead of a woman.

Like this isn’t about sexuality or meant in anyway to diminish his bisexuality but bear with me. Ok just ignore everyone’s genders and think about the current relationship and past relationships it’s the same story line. It’s literally got the exact same pattern. I guaranteed more people would agree if Tommy was a woman.

Like yeah bisexual/same sex couples are important but if there’s literally 0 thought put into building it up then it’s really not all that great of representation because it’s like they don’t even care about the story.

However he could have to work to get Eddie. Like not telling Eddie how he feels but testing the waters trying to show Eddie how he feels before he really verbally admits it.
