Honestly one of the worst things about growing up Christian and in a Catholic school was the misinformation about Hades.

I remember being in primary school, around year 4 which is about 8y/o, and being told that hades was not a god that I should bring up.

For context we had been asked to name Greek gods. They went on to tell me her was evil and the devil and I should not talk about or be happy about Him.

I think having this experience pushed me away from whatever connection I had with Him, I'm fortunate to have been able to rekindle that connection with Hades.

I wish other religions would stop pushing their gods roles on another Pantheon.

☠️ Death is another form or beauty. It is mysterious, terrifying, ominous, beautiful, and most importantly, inevitable.

Death is a part of life. Death is within Life, and Life is within Death.

And one day, we shall all return to the earth, as we have always been destined to.

Rotting into the ground to allow the little critters to feast in our bodies to sustain themselves. And then, becoming one with the earth, and the soil, and the dust, and the ground.

Forever and always. My body shall be yours, mother earth.

My life came born from the earth, and my life shall return to the earth in the end.

And I shall embrace death with my very being, with my all. For it is within me. For it is all around me. ☠️

Graveyards aren't just your backyard to play in whenever you want. There are people who died resting there. There are living people who have to tend to the grounds and clean up the place.

Anatomy of a Spell

This post will go over what is needed for a spell to be created!

This is a page from my grimoire and by no means is this a set-in-stone situation. Take what you will and leave what you won't.

Desire or intent. This is the whole point of the spell. What is the desired outcome, what do you want to achieve from this spell?

Planning of ingredients, spell structure, time, and location. This includes the verbal or written aspect of the spell if any.

Protection, there’s really no reason not to have a safeguard on your spell in my opinion but this isn't true for everyone. Do what feels right for you.

Raising, gathering, or building energy for the spell. Energy is how you get your spell to work. This can be done by chanting, breathwork, borrowing energy, and more.

Directing energy into the spell. Self-explanatory, gotta get it in there somehow. Basically just getting the intent/desire from inside you to inside the spell so that it can work its magic (pun intended).

Release any excess energy if needed. Grounding is a good way to do this.

Clear and concise ending; this could be a phrase, word, or physical act that indicates the ending of the spell. It’s best when everyone and everything involved knows when you have ceased doing the spell.

Extras:

It’s a good idea to record your process and results of the spells you create and cast so that you have a reference for future spells; also you can figure out what went wrong or right.

I personally think it’s a good idea to put a fail-safe in a spell, I usually do this by stating it out loud: i.e. “If I take apart this spell bag then the spell will cease.” or “If I do this spell in reverse the spell will cease/reverse” and so on.

Preparing the physical and non-physical things for the spell; can mean gathering, cleansing, or preparing yourself to be in the headspace needed for the spell. It's better to be prepared than to get blindsided halfway through because you’re missing something!

Fake crystals are just as real as real crystals!

Did you gasp at that title? Were you completely and utterly flabbergasted that I would say such a thing? I understand why this would be a shocking viewpoint considering the importance placed on crystals in many a metaphysical/witchy circle. But here is a simple reasoning behind what I said, you buy crystals for their energy, right? Now, just what if you come across a piece of glass, or dare I say, plastic (I know, woo woo people you are losing it right about now.) that looks and feels like the crystal you were shopping for. Only you didn't know it wasn't the crystal you were seeking and you later found out it was a fake. You've already done a few successful spells, meditations, and/or rituals with the "crystal". Despite it not being genuine, does this mean that those things you've done with the crystal are now invalid or does it mean that the energy of the item you used was more important than what the item itself actually was?

Look, it is wonderful to be able to purchase real crystals, but is it necessary? NO. What matters is the energy of the item, in particular, how that energy comes off to you. If you've accidentally purchased a fake crystal, yet you find it works perfectly well for you, don't feel the need to abandon it just because it isn't genuine. If you're truly after the energy of a certain crystal and not just having a genuine crystal then it doesn't matter if that energy comes from a piece of glass. This in some ways is another reminder to work with what feels good and what is accessible to you, even if that's fake crystals that feel like the real deal.

Just a PSA

Just a small psa because witchtok has pissed me off and I'm sure there are some people who think like this on here.

People are allowed to practice THEIR craft however they want. It is THEIR way of practicing. It works for THEM. As long as it's not hurting you, they are not taking from closed practices they are fine. Not everyone has the money for fancy tools or the exact herbs that they need. Guess what witchcraft is customizable shocker. Do you think the old witches back then had everything they needed for a spell no, they used whatever they had around. Just because someone doesn't practice exactly like you, doesn't mean their practice is wrong. Just because someone does something differently than you, doesn't mean they are wrong. Just because someone doesn't have a tool or ingredient doesn't mean they are wrong. You are classist if you think so. Get it together and mind your own business. People can practice however they want, no one needs your criticism. Also, can we leave baby witches the fuck alone they are still learning, and learning is hard without help. Yes, they should be doing their own research but they still need help. If they do something wrong guide them don't tell them they fucked up and then just laugh at them. Everyone starts out as a baby witch and everyone still needs to learn.

⛤Stay Away From Me⛤

⛤ Sometimes we’re put in situations where asking someone politely to leave us alone isn’t as effective as we wish it would be.. So here’s a little spell to keep them at distance without hurting anyone.

⛤ You need some simple ingredients:

 A red candle or nine smaller candles

 Nine coins (any kind)

 Paprika powder 

 Coarse sea salt

 A small sheet of paper

 A black pen

 An empty vial

Take the vial and fill it as follows:

1/2 of paprika,

1/2 of coarse salt,

do not fill it completely because you’ll need to fit your leaflet inside.

On a piece of paper, write on one side the name of the person you want to remove and on the other draw the symbol of Mars, the planet of defense and attack. 

Insert the leaflet into the vial, close it tightly. 

In the next nine days, starting from the tenth day BEFORE the New (Black) Moon, light the candle at night, and shake the vial at night (which should be kept well hidden away from the eyes of others) visualizing that person moving away from you.

 If you find a candle that lasts nine days you will light it every night with the help of another candle of course (no matches) otherwise you will take nine small candles to burn one per night. 

Do not throw away the remains of the burnt candles… On the ninth day (or night) light the candle and pour the wax on the bottle cap in order to seal it. 

Throw it into a stream or bury it together with the remains of the candles. 

Turn around, throw the coins behind you and continue without ever looking away.
