Hello, everyone! Since this draft is pretty much finished (until further clean-up), I am going to be sending it here finally. This fic is based on @/cutetanuki-chan’s Come To Your Senses comic, and I am really happy that I was able to finish it.

Also, as a fan of Tick Tick Boom, check out the song Come To Your Senses, it’s what I used to finish this fic overall.

“What do you think will happen when we get back?”

The skies had been waking up, the swamp scent thick and unyielding, and when Anne tried to crane her neck to hear Marcy right beside her, it became clear that the rest of the fields were quiet. Still as the mildew on an early morning day. “I don’t know, Marce. I really don’t.”

Out in the clearings, Anne spotted the yellow patches of flower beds at the side of the hills. It was Fall now, or at least, she thought it was. And under the soft rise of the sun, the world stayed asleep. Gentle in maroon and cobalt.

“It’s been five months since I last checked.” The girl beside her wrote something into her journal, scribbling quickly into the paper. “I started counting since your birthday, and apparently calendars here are pretty similar to ours, just with fewer days to spare.”

“Huh.” The wind caressed her hair, all rested against the cold stone wall, the candlestick snuffed out since the night before. “That’s neat.”

“I’ve just been considering it, you know?” Marcy said. Her words drifted off into the air, and Anne could only relax more into the bricks, letting her rambles go on for all the world to see. “We don’t know how long time has passed between here and Earth. It makes you wonder if we’ll get found months after everything, or if it’s all Narnia rules.”

“Like where the kids get in the wardrobe and everything?”

“Yeah. As if nothing has changed. And only we know.”
