for like 3 weeks i was wondering why i was sleeping so much and felt listless. and just now I managed to email 3 people and responded to a month old message in the span of an hour because I got back to TAKING MY FUCKIN MEDS..........

#MOTHER FFFFUCKER #to be fair. my doc said I could stop taking them while im on break since i wouldnt need to be constantly pumped on stimulants #im not sure if it was a side effect but i managed to take like 3 different naps in one day and STILL managed to sleep thru the whole night #at least 2 days into my break. the weird thing is i didnt feel more or less rested afterwards. but mentally i think im in a good place rn #to really put the level of awakeness im at rn i feel weirdly confident i could start one piece. also bc of that sick new opening it BANGS #the song is really good and im in love with the animation style. did some digging and it seems one of the lead animators is masato mori #but i could be wrong. it seems he also did some work on mp100 which could explain a lot lol.. he uses smear frames really well to convey #consistent movement and fluidity!!! someone else might have done color design but it works really really well esp with odas style!!#just love the overall vibe and aesthetic and id really love to study it and incorporate a bit of it into my art.. especially the thick #outlines which i think helps to separate characters and objects on screen. though i have to say the style is definitely more suited to #animation bc of the simpleness and smears. maybe that will help me explore shapes and perspective when i draw... i wanna get better #at drawing poses and angles but i have a hard time wrapping my head around space and using perspective guide lines NGHHHH #i wonder if it has to do with my dogshit ability to judge distance. not depth perception but like. judge how far smth is in metres etc #im also wearing an N95 for the first couple weeks back bc of the wave. absolutely NO BODY is wearing a mask its so fucking over #where im sitting ive heard 5 different people coughing probably not into their elbows!!! and im just. head in my fucking hands #there was a kid sitting a couple seats away in class coughing as he pleases and i wanted to grab him in a chokehold so badly. below the cut because i can't shut up ever :D

-abby does well enough in school academically but is still needs some work in the socioemotional dept

-when she starts a new school year mike is a bit worried but then she comes back home absolutely ecstatic and mike is like “okay this is good”

-she talks all about how mr. ness lets her color while he teaches and how mr. ness gave them all name tags w silly drawings (hers is a bear) etc etc

-mike is actually really happy bc most teachers have a hard time understanding abby (heck, he has a hard time understanding her) so he’s looking forward to meeting this mr. ness during back to school night

-it goes on like this for awhile, with abby raving about mr. ness and mike is just happy that his little sister seems to be doing better in school. the first time she comes home talking about these kids she hung out with at recess he practically cries

-back to school night is here and the first time mike sees this mr. ness he’s like abby u traitor you didnt tell me this man was exactly my type (he doesn’t actually tell her bc he never brings up his lovelife around her - not that he’s had much of one - but still isn’t this the type of things siblings know intrinsically)

-anyways they’re having the kids show their guardians around the classroom and their seats and everything and then mr. ness is explaining the way his class works and mike is totally paying attention. yup. he’s not distracted by those chocolate brown eyes at ALL

-so they’re waiting to do the one-on-ones with the teacher and mike crouches down next to abby and tries to be all chill “hey, abs. has mr. ness ever mentioned a partner or anything?” acting all nonchalant

-but abby sees right through him and is immediately like “he’s single! do u want me to put in good word for you?” and mikes like “NO i have no idea what ur talking about haha i just wanted to know bc it’s important to know that about ur teachers okay wait why are you smiling like that”

-(abby’s a little menace and already ships it)

-when it’s finally their turn mike is just chanting to himself “be normal. be normal. be normal” lmao

-but now that he’s sitting face to face with the teacher he notices that he has freckles and every chance he had at playing it cool goes out the window

-ness is telling him all about how well abby is doing in class and if there was anything he could do to make it easier for her in the classroom and abby’s just sitting there looking at mike internally screaming with a smile

-so she turns to her teacher and is like “you should get mike’s number just in case something comes up. he’ll probably think of some things later since he’s been taking care of me alone for awhile” (bc u know when kids do that things where they kinda trauma dump at the most random moments lmao)

-and ness at first refuses and is like “im sure email works just fine!” and abby’s like WHYY is he not just taking the bait and then she has like a lightbulb moment

-bc ness probably assumes like everyone else that mike is a single father and abby’s his daughter and abby’s like oh no how do i make this work

-so she goes full anya mode (for my spy x family watchers) and is like “im sure mike would appreciate having your number on hand! he’s a very protective older brother you see. taking care of his little sister must be hard. i’m sure being a big brother like him is hard so it’d be for his peace of mind. did i mention he’s my older brother”

-and ness also has a little bit of a crush already forming so he doesn’t catch the obvious set up and is instead distracted by the fact that the handsome guy in front of him is in fact NOT a single father so maybe he does have a chance wowow

I love your art!! I really admire your work and I love your deltarune fanart, especially how you draw noelle :) whenever I look at your art I always feel like you have such a firm grasp on anatomy and all your drawings feel like they really exist in 3d space, and i love how the characters in your drawings are shaped :0 do you have any tips for a learning artist?

well gosh, after you buttering me up like that, how can i refuse? (jk but in all serious, thank you so much this is SO sweet) anyway, let's see, tips..... (this ended up turning into a whole tutorial lmao)

so one thing you'll hear a lot of artists say is to start with a warm up first, but not a lot about what "warming up" actually means. some people take that to mean they have to start with a whole other drawing, personally i find that takes away too much energy and i end up spending way more time on it than i want to. i like doodling little cubes and cylinders, but if i have something to color sometimes i just do that to warm up. whatever works for you best, just anything to get your hand used to the motion of drawing.

for starting the actual drawing it really is important to begin with a line of action. think of it as a basic guideline for how you want to pose a character. it will help the pose flow better, trust me. (im going to draw noelle bc obviously im pretty used to that)

some artists start with just the line, i like to do the guide for the head first and then the line, whatever

you dont absolutely have to follow the line for your pose btw its just good to have an idea of what youre doing before you do it

after that is when you start worrying about shapes, usually. an important thing to remember when drawing is that absolutely everything is made of shapes, first and foremost. humans, animals, objects, drawing anything starts with shapes. circles squares and triangles. this goes for drawing from life too! it's why you want to start with a light pencil or a sketch layer cuz this is the stuff youre gonna erase later, but it's essentially the skeleton of your drawing

btw, i give noelle a very basic "average thin teenage girl" figure but it's good to practice other body types too and learn what shapes work best for drawing those

you mightve heard the advice to "draw the person nude first and then draw the clothes on top of them" and that's only partially true- it's good to know what the shape of the body is before you dive in with the clothes but you dont have to do like, a whole nude model first. you just need enough to understand how the fabric is going to fall on the body

also, and this is sort of off-topic, but when it comes to clothes its good to understand how different fabric works and how it's going to react to a body underneath it. some fabric clings, some is very loose, some is thin and some is thick. basically what im saying is that you dont have to shrink-wrap the clothing to the body, especially when it comes to a character with breasts or anything else that sticks out. thats a mistake a lot of beginner artists make. in this case, noelle's robe is very loose but i still want it to conform to her body a little bit so the pose isn't totally lost

aaaaand there ya go! after all that is when im ready to actually draw the dang thing. you can tell if you look close that i didnt totally follow the guidelines i made for myself, and that's okay. for example i tend to almost always draw the head too small and then have to enlarge it afterwards. one of the perks of being a digital artist is i can make mistakes and not have to re-do the whole drawing to fix them.

one other thing as to how to get better at actually drawing the body right in the first place- FIGURE DRAWING! as cliche as it might sound it really helps. it's best to draw from life, but if you can't get into a class for it there are plenty of websites out there with good photography of nude models. i also reference a lot of my poses from those websites, or sometimes from videos of figure skating or ballet if i think the situation calls for it.

this is a good website for figure drawing practice- it lets you set a timer so you can practice getting a pose down quickly or spend a lot of time on one model, your choice

also, yknow, always make sure you're having fun and dont stress out too much about whether what youre drawing looks good. the more you draw, the better, and don't think you have to post everything to social media if you dont want to. draw for yourself first and foremost and observe from life and artists you admire what you WANT to draw and want to get better at, and what looks like fun. that's the most important part

theyre in their early to mid 20's and probably met at some kind of house party that got broken up by the cops, they scattered in the same direction and hid in an alleyway together and theyve been buds ever since

they painted their jackets together that they got at a secondhand thrift place, didnt know you had to set fabric paint and piss' jacket got all smudged around the "faggot" bit. he didnt bother to fix it he just kept it when he set it.

piss dyes his hair hes not a natural blonde hes a brunette actually. he wanted to do something cool and rebellious and dye his hair, but he didnt want to pick a crazy color like blue or pink or something bc that could make him a target so he went with something natural looking

fuck also has his hair dyed hes got two red streaks down the front like in his portrait im choosing to regard that as canon.

piss lives in a squat house, fuck lives in his middle class home with his dad. fucks parents are divorced, piss's parents kicked him out (because gay. he's actually bi but doesnt quite get it yet)

piss has his left ear pierced, he would have gotten both done but he did it ice cube needle style and it hurt too much the first time for him to get the other one done so now its just one. fuck has his nipples pierced he got that done with his birthday money one year.

they're both bi but in diff ways. gestures vaguely. sexualities are still up in the air . they do make out and jerk off together sometimes but theyre just messing around its just what guy friends do sometimes

Before the teacher could finish, you were out the door. High school was hard and you were just trying to get through these last few years. As you passed through the hallway, all of the beautiful girls who had boyfriends and huge groups of friends made your heart ache. You had to admit that you were jelous of them. You didn't have very many friends- or any at all. Being shy and soft spoken made it hard to talk to people- or just talking in general was difficult.

You had a free period after your last class. Your favorite spot was outside the theater. You loved hearing the faint noises of the kids inside talking, laughing, or singing. You admired their talent and their confidence. One performer in particular- Adam - was the star in every show. His black hair and brown eyes had every girl staring at him, practically on their knees. It surprised you how he didnt have a girlfriend or atleast not that you knew of. The sudden singing caught you off guard from inside the theater. Was it Adam? The first production of the year was tonight so they had been practicing a LOT. The posters promoting the production were everywhere- literally everywhere. It was all people were talking about. So, you got tickets to opening night.

Taking your seat that night, all you could do was try to relax and not crush the stems of the flower bouquet that you were holding- that was for Adam. The girl next to you turned to face you “Are those flowers for one of the girls in the show?” You couldn't reply with ‘no it's for Adam!’ so lying was the best choice. “Yes.” The other girl laughed. Cuffing her hand around her mouth, she leaned to your ear; “I got mine for Adam- i'm his secret admirer” You immediately regret your decision of getting flowers for Adam. He would have hundreds by the end of the week and not have a care in the world for who got what. Her bouquet was so extravagant and colorful compared to yours. Your seat was close to the front and when the stage lights were on, the actors on the stage would be able to see your face.The show had started- Adam, the main character was on stage most of the time and when he would have monologes, he would look into the crowd. Specifically, looking at you. Was it on purpose? Surely not.

After the actors took their bows and the show came to an end, the audience exited the theater and congregated outside waiting for the cast to greet them. The crowd had grouped around the side stage door-where the cast and crew would come out from. You had been pushed to the back so you couldn't see what was going on but when you heard loud shouts and screeches, you knew Adam and come out. Faint "you did so good! from the girls and "thank yous" from adam could be heard. You hoped to gift Adam his flowers but there was so many girls, and oh so many flowers, there was no use. As you started to walk towards the door you heard someone call your name.

"Leaving without saying hello? Didn't your parents teach you manners?" Turning around, you saw Adam walking towards you. "Oh im sorry- I thought you were busy and I-" you looked down at your flowers, then at the large handful adam had already collected. "Nevermind, um well-good job i'll see you tomorrow." Adam couldn't get a response out in time because you had already left the building. God you were so embarrassing. You hated high school and wanted to be in college so bad. Having no romantic experience made it even worse. A shy, timid, unromantic, girl...could it get worse?

You had one singular class with Adam the next day. He sat behind you but never realized how weird this would be until the day after you and him had the encounter after the show. After taking your seat- not even a minute later- you felt a tap on your shoulder, turning around you were greeted by Adams glowing brown eyes looking at you. "What are you doing after school tonday? Do you want to go grab some food? I have time before I have to be back for the show." His elbows where on the table and he placed his chin in the palm of his hands, smiling at you. Blushing- you had no choice but to say yes."Perfect, meet at my car and we'll go from there! Oh also here's my number." He slid you a piece of paper with his number on it. You put it in your bag to save for later. You couldn't focus for the rest of the day and the only think(or person) in your mind was Adam.

Finally, the day had come to and end. Once the bell rang you leaped up from your chair and headed towards the parking lot. Adam was leaning up against his black Hyundai Tucson. He was facing away from you and it wasn't until you cleared your throat that he turned around. His black locks wirled as the wind blew. His face immediately lit up as he saw you. "Hey." He shifted against his car so he was still leaning but he was fully facing you. "hi" This was your first date and you weren't really sure how this works. "Hear, let me get the door for you." He walked over to the passenger side door, opening it. You stepped in. Adam took your bag and placed in the back seat. Adam soon followed with getting in and eventually pulled out of the parking lot. "Any place in particular you want to go?" His eyes were on the road. "There's a coffee shop, its really good and has like sandwiches and stuff.." your voice died down as you finished your sentence. "Sounds good!" Adam smiled, glancing over at you for just a second before looking back to the road. His phone was connected to aux and was playing a mix of rock and musical theater music. Just a few minutes later, you reached the coffee shop. Adam wasted no time in exiting the car and going over to open the door for you. The wind continued to blow and adams hair was dancing around and across his face. When entering the cafe, you found a table and your musically talented date pulled your chair out for you. "How was your day, beautiful?" beautiful. His words shot through your core, causing your eyes to widen and for your face to become red. "oh um it was...Good." you stuttered over you words as you delivered your eyes away from his. Of course, Adam and his charm, couldn't help but laugh. "You know, you don't have to be shy."

"Im not!"

"Are too."

'Am not"

"whatever you say." Adam pushed back his hair and as he spoke

After ordering food and drinks and having a short conversation, you both left the cafe. As you walked out, Adam grabbed your hand and you spun around to face him. Lifting an eyebrow at him, "can i help you?" Adam didn't answer. that was with words that is. He pulled you into him and placed a kiss on your red tinted lips. Your face soon turned the same shade as the roses planted outside the cafe. "sorry" he whispered as he slowly pulled away from you. "here, you have some danish crumbs on you" Adam swiped his thumb agaist the corner of you mouth, causing a smile to form across your face. Adam smiled back, guiding you to the passenger door and letting you in.

The gentleman that he was, drove you back to your place and walked you to yout front door. "Will i see you tonight? At the show?" he tilted his head as he spoke. "I don't have a ticket, sorry." Adam suddenly started fiddling with his pockets and pulled out three tickets. One for each of the remaining shows. "I have some extras. You should come. Id love to see you again." you took the tickets from him and pulled them to your chest. "I'll be there., promise" Adam stepped closer to you, one hand on your left cheek, the other on your waist. He kissed you. Again. A euphoric feeling washed over your body. You face wass hot as his thumb brushed your face. He pulled away, smiling ear to hear. He mouthed 'bye' as he walked away to his car. As he pulled off, he yelled something from his car,

"Thou art wise as thou art beautiful!"

You laughed as he drove off. You didn't know what that meant or what that line was from but, deep in your heart, you knew that everything would be just fine....

so uhm these are my designs for Finny and Gene. I drew these back when I started reading A Separate Peace in my high-school sophomore year. They’re pretty old drawings. At the time, I only drew these just to have some faces to put a name on (to help me visualize easier idk)

Well fast forward, my class finished reading ASP and I have been an ASP addict ever since.

okay im going to word vomit now

okay erm thought process of these designs:

Finny-

i tried to make him as book accurate at possible but ngl i actually i thought he was a red head before i looked up what he actually looked like. I genuinely wouldve believed he was a red head if i didnt looked it up (yes im referring to the ppl propagating redhead finny)

i gave him very sharp features and a somewhat messy hairstyle to symbolize his wild nature but also neat enough to get him by in school.

His shirt usually untucked or hastily put on. Most times he has his coat off or unbuttoned

he has some freckles and moles too YAY

Gene-

made him the most basic looking guy with the most basic features: black hair and brown eyes (okay ik his hair looks blue and u can barely see his brown eyed but i was limiting myself on colors GSSSYSHDHHSHA )

ofc i HAD to make him the complete opposite of Finny. His features are more squarish and rounder. because he always does random 90° angles out of nowhere

his hair is more neat and put together compared to Finny’s. It’s very structured to be square shaped. i like to think he uses a little bit of gel but it’s not a tight slickback. he lets his hair go loose bc he wants to follow Finny’s footsteps and be wild and free too 🤩🤩 yet he can’t help but follow the standard of having a neat slick hair and ofc follow school dresscode 🤷‍♀️

his fit is also more put together. he always makes sure his tie is neat and his coat is buttoned up most times

i gave him a mole :)

this was a fun one to make cuz he literally never describes himself in the book💀💀 i find that really interesting tho. perhaps it was on purpose so readers can relate to Gene more by emotion and not feel distanced by physical features

(yea i obviously put in a lot more thought into Gene’s design than Finny’s)

(i still love them both tho)

FUN FACTS YES THERE’S MORE:

honestly thought Finny was a latino and/or hispanic cuz of his tan skin. (im well aware white ppl can look tan and not be a hispanic but also hispanics and latinx could also look pale white i was lowkey a little ignorant back then 💀.) idk maybe he could have some hispanic blood 🤷‍♀️

do not mind the messiness and low quality, i did this in the dead of night on a note-taking app called Notability

that last note may sound absolutely unrelated BUT WAIT! I actually have a whole stock of ASP Notability doodles! More to come!! maybe…

their hairstyles and clothing are based on actual 1940s styles :D it’s my favorite thing about their design especially their hair. it was fun researching and incorporating historical trends

the chair Gene is sitting on is supposed to be the Early American chair from Finny’s house! I did not put any effort into the chair whatsoever 😀

although i gave Finny short hair, I’ve come to see how good long hair Finny is

do you have any pets? No :( never had any pets when i was a kid either bc my mom had a whole bunch of dogs as a child and she didnt fw the idea of having any more animals in her house

honestly it just makes me feel even more misunderstood and lonelier that whenever i do a diary like entry rant talking about my era struggle and not feeling so happy in this decade that someone says something like you can still have that life - how? i forcibly see modern houses and cars everyday. people dressed in modern clothes or 70s style clothing being back in style but then not being able to tell actual classic rock people from people just digging the pure style without further passion for that time its from - no offense no critique intended here just makes it a lil harder when u get excited about a potential new friend and theyre like "i dont like """OLD""" music - and people always on phones. like always. you meet up with people but theyre on their phones. people driving and looking down while being in active part of traffic. you get on a train and almost everyone is staring down at a screen. someone almost running you over bc they just cant even look up while walking. people filming fucking everything to post it on social media in hopes to go viral just for one day. the whole toxicity behind social media but it being so present its hard to find a way around it - even typing this im just as guilty of that but i havent managed to ditch all of it yet because sometimes i need to just put thoughts out there. but even if i decorate my whole apartment authentically 70s and buy a car that is now labeled as "oldtimer" and not affordable to drive everyday or keep in shape for most working class normal formal people - it just is not the same now as it was then. i want everyone around me to decorate their places like that. i want wood panelling and flower tiles and shag carpeting being the latest craze in home trends. i wanna sit in traffic full of colorful pretty cars. i wanna get called on my rotary dial landline or scrape up some coins for a phone booth. i want to hear an amazing guitar solo in almost every song no matter what radio station i turn on. no auto-tune, just talent. i wanna go to a store and buy vibrant dresses and boots and vests. i want to see men in bell bottoms and platform boots. girls too. i want all my friends to dress like that. i want us to sit together and read the latest issue of creem magazine. i wanna turn on my big ass tv set to top of the pops and see my favorite bands play as their young selves and know they are out there right now. i wanna go to their shows and see them live. its just not the same now anymore. an imitation will never be an original.

and i seriously wish i was "normal" in a sense that i would just have no desire to teleport back to another decade and not even lose a single thought about it and just enjoy whats popular on streaming sites and young artists music and social media and just go with trends and identify with recent mainstream taste bc it would make everything easier, and i tried, but i just cant do it. i literally cant. it makes me feel so uneasy and bad i wanna cry. like on a random day in late 2k13 classic rock (or basically any genre from the 60s-80s tbh i like everything from pop to rock to punk to reggae to disco whatever as long as its from that era tbh) including that era struggle just took over my life and has had me in a grip ever since, i really didnt choose to like it that much and nothing else, i just cant help it like why me???

#im sure theres good bands out there now but rock bands like they were back then are just not mainstream anymore #plus they are not my favorite bands i wanna see the stones led zeppelin pink floyd t rex thin lizzy dire straits the clash etc etc

Hi, hello, it me, yeah I’m back. Before I get started talking about what I drop in for I just wanted to say, I absolutely love your art😍 every day I look forward to seeing your posts. You have change my POV on oc x cannon with Daggie. They are just so cute and silly I want to put them in a pancake. But anyways, your art has inspired me to make many twst oc of my own(and by many I mean 2 maybe three idk yet) but I only have a design for one of them

This is Grayson, he my baby and I love him. I’ve only drawn him a couple of times but idk where I put them 🤷🏻 whoops-

From this picture(it’s like two months old) his design has changed a bit. But still somewhat like that.

but what I came here to talk about is the super silly friendship he has with some characters👏

just to be clear these friendships I’m going to write out are still under development, lots of things are gonna change as I finalize his character!

Okay, to start off,

-Ruggie: they are like best friends, since they are in the same class they’ll study and work together. Grayson likes to randomly visit Savanaclaw and bring snacks and donuts and just food in general. I see them teasing the first years a lot(it’s a normal thing) and overall having a very wholesome bond.

-Floyd: somewhat the same with Ruggie but a bit more silly. Grayson and Floyd have been friends since childhood. They grew up in the same area and went to the same schools. But Grayson being a new addition to the group (Floyd, Jade, and azul) he was a bit overwhelming for them, except Floyd, they matched each others energy. If one of them did something bad so did the other.

-Epel: Epel is Grayson’s favorite first year and he makes that very clear to the others. So clear that Adeuce gets jealous. But Grayson took a liking to epel, 1) because Grayson likes small colorful things, and 2) Epel told him that he was having a had time fitting in, epel didnt really know how to act proper, or wear fancy clothes. But Grayson didn’t know so well either but having 4 sisters he had a few tricks he knew so he offered to help. And thus they became friends👏👏

okay last one

-Kailm: They are an equation for disaster. When Kailm is planing a party, Oh well, Grayson gonna make him take it a step further. “Hey Grayson what do ya think ‘bout the balloons?!”

“Hm, how about you take that ballon arch over there, get more of it, and line it all up along the path. Oh and we need some pyro effects!”

yeah that’s how it goes and them Jamil has to child lock EVERYTHING from both of them.

but anyways, Grayson still has some construction that needs to be finished. But yeah, he’s not my oc x cannon oc I’m still figuring that one out. But I hope you enjoyed listening to me ramble about my child. I will see you in the comments of your posts 🫡

Y’know as much as I may be a school hater I gotta hand it to them for teaching me something very strangely beautiful (they didnt teach it to me directly like in a class sort of deal tho. i refuse to give them that big of a W)

uhh tw mentions of ass fucking and giving premature birth for like. a single line. it literally does not matter. oh and also anime as a currency and maybe just maybe slight traumadump

you know presentations, right? you do a thing then show the class the thing and explain your thing and shit

mostly as a kid they’d have us buy this giant colored cardboard paper thing and put info about a certain topic in it. the very first one that i remember doing was with this one girl named Mar about penguins. later as we got older shit got more competitive bc the class would vote on which cardboard presentation was the best and the winner would get the cardboard hanging in the school walls for all to see. and idk i guess it hurt spending a decent amount of time in a cardboard only for another one to get voted as if your efforts werent worth anything

ANYWAYS.

so yea school started with cardboards and then around 13-14 we started doing like. powerpoint presentation things. and depending on the topic and if the group project i ended up with were cool friends i got to add a lot of little gags and memes and overall have a lot of fun. and it was because these things were fun that i actually managed to remember a lot of things that we agreed to talk about during the presentation! who knew that having fun made learning better! wish they’d implement that to the school system!

over time teachers started to get more stern on not copypasting shit into the slides and then just reading it aloud for the presentation, and although having notes to read was allowed you definitely looked a lot more preofessional if you didnt have any. also with time I started to get more opportunities to do my presentations alone which i definitely enjoyed more than group ones because i could put whatever shit however i wanted and didnt have to meet up with anyone else and waste time trying to agree on what to do

which then leads into the wonderful tale of this one time in 2018-19 (cant rember) where our english teacher asked us to do a presentation. i dont know if it could be about whatever we wanted or if it had to be about money or whatever. but i chose to make it about anime as a currency. and i got a 10 of course because my english fucks severely and absolutely no one else did a presentation with as much slides and detail as mine did and honestly i think the teacher was just scared on what I’d do if i got a bad grade

but thats not the point of the story, just a highlight

then a couple months ago, since the class i was in was the Art Class, a teacher from a different subject asked us to illustrate one of the many poems that this one book had. I had different vague ideas going around in my brain but the deadline was so far away and i just didnt bother

until the deadline wasnt far away

it was very close, actually

so anyways adhd fucked me raw in the ass once again and i was still not done getting fucked by other things so fucking. supreme. deadline was close as shit and all the vague ideas took long ass time so I winged it as always and just read one of the poems at the end and got another idea then made the dollar store version of it and speedran that shit

and then time of presentation came and of course i was last and a buncha days passed with people just presenting their illustrations and all that wonderful time i could have spent making this shit more presentable but instead i had my cringe ass nae nae baby in my hands that i gave birth to too fucking soon for it to look more than just a sad fetus. literally any time its presenting time i either offer to go first or second or i get elected last i dont know how the fuck it happens but it happens. so anyways

instead in all those classes of classmates explaining shit with dead voices (we’re teenagers) i didnt listen in to what they said (i wouldn’t have even if i tried lmao) and instead just thought of how to present my work. i didnt have a powerpoint so through words alone it is

and then i just started coming up with beautiful tings to say about my work. How i used the most cheap materials i could find to not mock the author, who wrote in misery and made poetry out of misery, and it was now my turn to take those words engraved in pain and shape them around into something beautiful, over the ruins that got left behind, with resources available to the lowest of the low like library printers and cheap glue stick. make poetry from ruin to ruin, instead of the aristocrats noble poets of the past had focused on pleasing

and yall. i got the highest grade i’d ever gotten in anything from that class up until then. it still is

I’ve always been the goddess of just. making shit up as i go. a guy came up to me asking shit and i just lied on the fucking spot. no hesitation

and this has been a reoccurring thing, especially this past year, where i would have to present drawings (actual drawings) I’ve made and I just said some fancy cheesy shit and the teachers were swooned

and I don’t think it’s just me, either. I think this can extend to all people. the ability to look at the ugly, the neutral, the mundane, the devastation, and just make it into art. not by altering it per se, but simply talking about it. talking about things in a way that, although you might be winging every word not really believing what you say to be true, can make other people find them beautiful

RILLSSSSS OH MY GOD OK SO I WAS SUPPOSED TO SEND YOU AN ASK YESTERDAY BUT I WAS BUSY SO THIS MIGHT BE LONG

OK SO, YESTERDAY. he was waiting for me outside my class room and usually we take the stairs to the right since its further from the exit so we could spend more time together, BUT THIS TIME, WE TOOK THE STAIRS ON THE LEFT which is closer to the exit but nobody uses it

OK SO AS WE WERE HALFWAY DOWN THE STAIRS AND I SAW ONE OF HIS CLASSMATES GOING DOWN THE STAIRS (THAT NOBODY USES BUT THEYRE THERE FOR SOME REASON) AND I ASKED HIM WHY HES HERE AND TOLD HIM TO GO THE OTHER WAY (thankfully we were already friends from when we were classmates before) ANYWAYS

HE SAID HE WANTED TO HOLD MY HAND 🥹🥹🥹

AND HE DIDNT GET TO HOLD MY HAND BC HE WAS SO NERVOUS 😭😭

AND WHEN HE CHECKED THE GROUP CHAT HE HAD WITH HIS CLASSMATES, THEY WERE ALL TEASING HIM SAYING (in our language) 'SO THATS WHY YOU DIDNT COME WITH US, YOU WERE THERE WITH HER'

AND WHEN HIS CLASS GOT DISMISSED, HE WAITED OUTSIDE MY ROOM AGAIN

AND REMEMBER MY CLASSMATE WHO TEASED HIM LOVER BOY, WELL SHE DID IT AGAIN AND BLESS HER FOR THAT 😭😭😭 SHE SHOUTED IT OUT WITHOUT SHAME AND I LOVE HER FOR THAT

OK, so we went down the empty staircase again, passing by the classrooms of the 2nd and 4th graders that were all empty, he TRIED HOLDING MY HAND AGAIN 😭😭😭

AND HE WAS SO NERVOUS SO I KEPT TEASING HIM 😭😭😭 I KEPT LOWERING MY HAND JUST WHEN HE WAS ABT TO GRAB IT

do you use sarcasm a lot?: not that much i don’t think but like . sometimes very obvious sarcasm if im trying to be funny

what sports do you play/have you played?: i used to be in cross country bc my friend told me i would enjoy it. I did not. and the worst part is they didnt even join with me i had to do it all alone. i also used to do flag football in elementary school but thats it
