It took us a long time to process this email when we received it. We had to read the words several times before we could comprehend the message. And to be honest we still don’t know what to make of it. Do we feel anything? Apathetic? Not really sure. We keep looking at the words bitches referencing children and it’s offensive. Painful to believe children don’t need dolls. We hear so many stories of how dolls enriched people’s live. And when we hand delivered them it was a moment of elation, joy and sadness that we didn’t have enough for everyone. There is truth people need to eat. But joy is just as important! Imagination can provide food on your table. Now that gringo part....all ppl from the states Yankees even first generation island folks? #blackdollproject #loveisrevolutionary #unlearnracism https://www.instagram.com/p/CHw8RWQjnUI/?igshid=qcx6nsu9lnfw

Racism isn’t going to be healed until we speak our truths and hold people accountable. This is not the moment to hang back and become complacent. Now more than ever we need to do the work of unlearning racism. Eva Longoria like everyone else has to be held to a high standard to dismantle the biases she has. Yes did she mention Black women. Sure and in one spoken moment side swiped all the efforts constantly created by Black Women. Who are the real heroines? Black women. @evalongoria #unlearnracism #presidentialelection2020 #dismantleoppresivesystems #disruptsystemsofracism #dominicanslovehaitiansmovement #fucklatinidad #afrolatinas #loveisrevolutionary https://www.instagram.com/p/CHa0YARDu6j/?igshid=12tqn8al15r2e

“ The United States is not at all united. We live in two countries. In one, people are willing to grapple with racism and bigotry. We acknowledge that women have a right to bodily autonomy, that every American has a right to vote and the right to health care and the right to a fair living wage. We understand that this is a country of abundance and that the only reason economic disparity exists is because of a continued government refusal to tax the wealthy proportionally. The other United States is committed to defending white supremacy and patriarchy at all costs. Its citizens are the people who believe in QAnon conspiracy theories and take Mr. Trump’s misinformation as gospel. They see America as a country of scarcity, where there will never be enough of anything to go around, so it is every man and woman for themselves. They are not concerned with the collective, because they believe any success they achieve by virtue of their white privilege is achieved by virtue of merit. They see equity as oppression. They are so terrified, in fact, that as the final votes were counted in Detroit, a group of them swarmed the venue shouting, “Stop the count.” In Arizona, others swarmed a venue shouting, “Count the votes.” The citizens of this version of America only believe in democracy that serves their interests.” Excerpt @roxanegay74 (new york times) #unlearnracism #unitedstates #dismantlewhitesupremacy #whitesupremacyisterrorism https://www.instagram.com/p/CHVplZjDrQ1/?igshid=er3lz1czz141
