‼️RPF‼️
ONE SHOT - phoebe x reader - christmas cookies
Word count: 761
Tumblr media
“i think this one is perfect as her” phoebe held up a gingerbread. it was the smallest out of the batch you both made.
“for julien?” you looked up at phoebe. she grinned over at you. eyes twinkling with the bright light above. it was the middle of December at 5pm on a friday evening. the sun has already set. snow was falling outside. the small snowman both of you made was staring directly at you from beside the wall. lopsided smile made from stones. carrot slowly falling off its face as snow accumulated around it. you glanced back at phoebe who was piping black icing into a bag.
“it’d be funny! i think she’d like it”
“i think she’ll threaten to hit you with it” you teased, working on lucy’s hair. “how many did you do so far?”
“four” phoebe gestures to the decorated gingerbread men on the rack by the oven. “i wanna make one of you” she pulled her sleeves up, wiping away some leftover flour from her face. you shook your head, grabbing the small towel and wiping away the icing from phoebes nose. “thank you for helping me with these today, baby”
“i’m glad you trust me enough to measure ingredients” phoebe chuckled. “these turned out perfect. i thought it was going to flop.” she held up the finished julien cookie, excitedly showing you.
“not when i’m here. i’m the baking expert here. you want some more hot chocolate?” you moved past phoebe, taking out some of the instant hot chocolate making kit, your mom gifted you and phoebe early for christmas
phoebe nodded her head. humming softly to the christmas music playing from your phone. the kitchen was a mess. baking utensils littered the counter top. trays of gingerbread men, decorated to represent phoebe julien and lucy sat neatly on a baking tray. the smell of cinnamon, ginger and chocolate wafted through the air.
wrapping paper was spread out all over the kitchen table. gifts stacked one on top of the other with cards splattered around. it was a mess but the familiar nostalgia filled your chest. a warm christmas that’s what it was.
it reminds you of when you were a child. playing with your dolls in the living room by the christmas tree while your parents wrapped the gifts and your grandparents baked cookies. it was a sweet feeling. you were in that spot now. wrapping gifts for friends and family members.
phoebe made sure to make it very clear what wrapping paper belonged to what gift. “that doll set for your baby cousin? it goes with the pink wrapping paper- sit it on top so we don’t forget. your parents get this nice champagne gold coloured wrapping paper- lucy might like that rich blue one. we’re giving julien the kids one because she’s a child-“ “you’re stressing out too much about this, my love”
“honey?” you shook out of your thoughts, smiling over at phoebe who held up one of the cookies. “i made you!”
“did you?” you walked back over to phoebe, leaning your head on her shoulder, wrapping your arms around her waist. she was warm. she relaxed in your hold, giggling to herself. “i look different than the rest”
“i kinda fucked it up a bit”
“i can tell”
phoebe pouted as you chuckled, kissing her cheek. “it reminds me of an angle though. if you squint you can see the wings” phoebe squinted her eyes before a small grin appears on her face.
“it does- pfft” she smiled, turning around so her back was pressed against the counter. “- that’s what i was going for. that was the plan.” “really?” you teased, your hands finding their place on her hips. she leaned in to place a small kiss to your lips. “of course”
“why don’t we start cleaning up? we need to get started on wrapping the gifts” you broke away, grabbing the towel and turned on the sink, washing your hands under the tap.
“i’ll start wrapping. you can write the cards” phoebe wiped her hands with the towel, walking over to the table.
“on it. what are we doing this year? from reader and phoebe? from the two gays?” you questioned, making your way to the table, looking at the card before writing a small merry christmas message.
“from the wives.” phoebe looked up grinning. you looked at the small ring on your hand as you chuckled.
“yeah that sounds good. merry christmas and happy holidays. from the wives”
“it sounds very gay. i like it”

jealous + slightly insecure phoebe ig?? x reader
slight angst maybe?
rpf!!!!
jealousy is so hot i said what i said :0
psa : i will write about lucy/julien too i promise im just an unapologetic phoebe girlie first and foremost 😓
the bar was loud. it was almost impossible to hear anything over the noise of the band and you felt yourself being jostled from all angles by the crowd of people around you. more than once you found yourself being pushed into your friend phoebe who was standing next to you almost protectively, glaring at the backs of everyone who dared stand too close. you'd know phoebe a long time, having lived in the same neighbourhood as lucy for most of your childhood, and remained friends into your adult years so it was only natural that you were integrated into her friend group. of course you liked her, how could you not, but you had long since made peace with the fact that she didn't feel the same way so you were content in the friend zone.
admittedly, you hadn't been looking forward to tonight. you wanted nothing more than to go home and climb into bed after a long day, but you had missed your friends too much to cancel. the three of them had been on tour for the last few months, so when a break appeared in their schedule you couldn't find it in yourself to say no. you had gone for dinner first, catching up and filling each other in on things that had happened since you had last spoken. the decision to come to a busy bar afterwards had probably not been the best however, the conversation steering into shouting to try and be heard over the music. you were still enjoying yourself though, realising how much you had missed the boys. you motioned to your friends that you were going to get another round but you couldn't tell if they had actually heard you. making eye contact with lucy you motioned your head towards the bar and she nodded, thankfully understanding.
reaching the bar you were grateful to realise that it was a lot quieter. pushing yourself closer to the front you ordered quickly and stood patiently waiting for your drinks to be made, tapping your fingers on the wood. you were only half paying attention to your surroundings when you heard someone calling your name, glancing back you looked around slightly confused before your eyes found your old college roommate making her way towards you. pulling her in for a hug you couldn't help the huge grin that formed on your face, you hadn't seen her for a year or so despite you guys being really close throughout college, you were sure she had liked you at one point too but you had only ever seen her as a friend.
'it's been too long' she said in disbelief, giving you a once over with her eyes, 'hardly recognised you, how've you been'. you two made small talk for a few minutes, her running her hands over your arm in what you hoped was a friendly way. it was great reminiscing over old times and you found yourself leaning closer to hear more clearly, laughing at whatever dumb joke she had made, but just as you were about to grab the drinks to make your way back, phoebe appeared looking at you and your friend with a strange expression on her face, 'um, lucy told me to come check on you, is everything okay?'
the blonde's eyes shifted to where your friend's hand was still firmly gripping your arm and she subconsciously clutched the empty glass in her hand so tightly that you feared it would break. clearing your throat you introduced the two, noting the difference between your ex roommate's overly zealous replies and phoebe's forced out 'nice to meet you' accompanied with an almost painful looking smile. not being able to stand the weird tension any longer you said a quick goodbye and a promise to meet soon, wrenching your arm out of her grip. you shoved two of the bottles into phoebe's arms and took the remaining two in yours, speed walking towards where lucy and julien were sitting.
'about time, was beginning to worry you got lost', julien said taking her soda from your hands, giving you a grateful smile, 'what kept you so long?'
you heard phoebe laugh and turned to her with confusion written on your face, 'more like who kept her, rather than what' she said in a weird tone, moving to sit on the chair across from you, her lips pursed as she glared down at the drink in front of her. you furrowed your brows, not missing the wide eyed look that julien and lucy shared with each other.
'what's that supposed to mean?' you said, wondering where this was all coming from. but phoebe ignored your words seeming intent on continuing her rant, 'she had her hands all over you and you didn't seem you mind too much from what i seen anyways, you know she likes you right? it's obvious', there was an unfamiliar biting tone to her words as if she was willing you to disagree with her.
'well, what would it matter if she did like me?', you spat back, unsure as to where she was going with this, 'it's not like we're dating, why should you care'.
phoebe went quiet. lifting her eyes from where they had been burning holes in her glass to meet yours and you could see tears threatening to spill over her waterline. your heart sank in your chest, immediately regretting what you said. her next words were so low you had to strain to hear them over the music, 'you're right, we're not, i guess it wouldn't matter, i just -' she paused, hurt apparent on her face. she stood up from the table and took a shaky breath, 'i'm going to the bathroom', she turned around and practically fled the area not taking a second look back to the three girls, two with sad knowing looks and one with concern and bewilderment.
ignoring lucy's pleas to give phoebe some space you took after the blonde, weaving through the crowds with an urgency that slightly scared you. opening the door to the bathroom you saw phoebe leaning over the sink, hands resting either side holding her up as she breathed in and out heavily, 'phoebs,' you whispered, concern gracing your features. walking over to her you wasted no time wrapping your arms around her. your heart tugged as she repeated that she was sorry, 'what for, darling?', you said, pulling back to look at her.
'for making it weird', phoebe bit her lip, eyes flickering between yours and the cream tiles of the bathroom, 'i know were not dating, obviously, if you like her, you'd be great together, you should go for it definitely, she'd be lucky to have you -', you cut off her spiralling by grabbing her jaw between your fingers and pressing your lips to hers, feeling her pause in shock for a second before she slowly started to kiss back, moving her hands to rest on your hips. after a few seconds you began pulling away, resting your forehead against hers, 'she's not who i want, phoebe'
'good', she mumbled against your lips before closing the gap again. you quickly tangled your fingers through her blonde hair, twisting and pulling slightly as she whimpered softly into your mouth in reply. phoebe ran her hands up and down your body, across every part of you that she could reach in a futile attempt to memorize everything, to prove to herself that this was real and not an elaborate hallucination. though she knew she couldn't be imagining the way your hand felt gripping the back of her neck, or the gentle sounds emerging from your mouth as she nibbled on your bottom lip.
before you could go much further, the door swung open and you two broke apart, turning to see lucy and julien on the other side with their mouths hung open in shock, 'okay, what did we miss?'

comfort hungry phoebe x reader
rpf!!!
pls dont be mean i dont claim to be a good writer i literally just need more boygenius content and took it into my own hands, im aware this isn’t good <3
this is also extremely self indulgent im chronically single and touch starved atm
phoebe was never one for emotions, perhaps stemming from her childhood years begging to be loved, or maybe her innate fear of vulnerability. she didn't like to dwell on the whys too much, her friends had accepted her odd ways and her ever revolving partners had managed, although not without with difficulty. her favourite pet name for her ex was 'dude', a funny running joke at first but then a sad testament to the lack of intimacy within their relationship, and when her first girlfriend admitted that she loved her all phoebe could force out was an awkward smile and a quick 'you too'. it wasn't that she didn't feel, in fact the girl felt so much that it hurt, it pained her to see how her inability to express her emotions affected her relationships but it just never felt right.
that was until she met her girlfriend. phoebe was enamoured with you from the moment you were introduced after one of her shows by some mutual friends. your smile was what first attracted her to you, but it was your ability to make her feel completely comfortable with herself that made her stay. now, almost a year into your relationship phoebe couldn't get enough. she still wasn't big on being affectionate in public, but today she found herself craving your touch, catching your eye from across the room filled with people she couldn't care less about. she smiled as you recognised her discomfort, always in tune with what she needed, and made your way to her. linking your two hands together phoebe squeezed tight letting the sweet smell of your perfume distract her from the blurring noise of the conversation happening around her.
when a brief lull arose in the discussion, phoebe couldn't help but drag you away to a secluded corner. she hated these things, glorified industry networking parties, but ‘the record’ came out in a few months and their manager insisted her and the boys went so naturally you had to come along too. 'fuck's sake', phoebe muttered, resting her forehead on your shoulder, feeling you move as you giggled.
'phoebs, it's not that bad, just an hour or so left and we can leave, i promise', you ran your hands through the blondes hair, feeling her sigh before she lifted her head and held your gaze with wide eyes. she usually managed to push through these things on autopilot but she'd been having a bad few days which quickly turned into a bad week, falling back into her cruel cycle of self hatred and nihilistic thoughts and all she wanted to do was be at home cuddled up with maxine and of course, you.
wrapping her arms around your waist you couldn't help but notice that she was tugging you closer, pulling you into her despite the curious eyes that usually would send her back to her anti-pda ways. you too ignored the stares and melted into her warm body, sensing her need for comfort. 'i love you so much baby', you whispered, rubbing your thumb softly along the strip of skin where her shirt had separated from her trousers, 'we can go right now if you want, i know you're not feeling good.'
biting her lip in thought you could practically see the cogs working in her brain and she sighed before answering, 'no, i promised jb and lucy i would be here', you were about to interrupt her to tell her what she already knew, that her bandmates wouldn't care if she left and never came back once she was safe and feeling okay, but phoebe gave you a pleading look, 'i know, but i want to be here for them, they were so excited for this.'
'okay, but say the word and we'll leave' you hesitantly replied, wanting nothing more than to wrap phoebe up in your bed with a steaming cup of tea and a promise to never let anything hurt her. she looked at you with grateful eyes, lifting her head from where it had fallen on your shoulder to press her lips against yours.
as if sensing they were being spoken about lucy and julien bounded over and took in the stance of their two friends, 'the heart eyes over here are insane’, joked julien, before throwing her own heart eyes at lucy who was instead focused on the way phoebe kept herself firmly in your hold, despite both of you expecting her to move away like she usually did.
phoebe lightly smiled murmuring a quiet retort to her best friend, slipping effortlessly into their usual back and forth relationship. joining the conversation you tried to ignore the woman clinging to you, not wanting to bring attention to the fact that she was still attached to you but that became impossible when her hand grabbed yours and placed it on her back, looking at you with puppy dog eyes. you knew what she was looking for, and holding back a smile you dragged your nails lightly up and down her back the way she loved. she craned her neck to stare up at you and your cheeks flushed at the intense love in her eyes. 'i love you sweetheart, thank you for being here’, phoebe said, the earnestness in her voice making your heart squeeze. smiling like an idiot you kissed her forehead, continuing to rub her back.
'this is sickening phoebs', julien interrupted, a grin on her face, as much as she loved making fun of the blonde she also loved seeing phoebe so comfortable in her relationship for the first time. 'shut up' phoebe muttered, finally pulling away from you to hide her blushing face. you laughed at the look on the boys' faces as they finally saw this side of phoebe, the one which you gladly experienced every day. phoebe was so full of love. she had so much of it to give and you were on the lucky receiving end of it. 'i hate you all of you guys' she said, finally emerging from behind her hands, her red cheeks apparent.
'no you dont', said lucy, shaking her head softly at their friend.
'no i dont'
