Doctors were arrested today at Border Patrol HQ in San Diego The were there demanding that they’d be allowed to give flu vaccinations to the innocent people detained in these concentration facilities. And the police was brought out to arrest them.

MICROPLASTICS IN THE GASTROINTESTINAL TRACTS OF ALL BELUGA EXAMINED FROM ARCTIC WATERS
According to a recent published study in Marine Pollution Bulletin, researchers worked with community-based monitors and Inuvialuit hunters from Tuktoyaktuk (Northwest Territories, Canada) to sample seven beluga whales in 2017 and 2018. Microplastics were detected in the gastrointestinal tracts in every individual beluga whale, with each whale having an average of nearly 97 particles, but some of them had 147 particles.
Microplastics are plastic fragments, regularly smaller than 5 mm in size, and represent an emerging global environmental concern, as they have been detected in multiple aquatic species. However, very little is known about the presence of microplastics in higher trophic species, including cetaceans.

Researchers do not know how microplastics enter whales, but they believe is because whales feed on fish, which have already ingested plastic.

Taking photos with a flash often leads to ’red eye’ – bright light reflecting off the retina leaves pictured faces with red pupils. This is actually a healthy sign of clear eyes – with the flash doing a similar job to a doctor’s ophthalmoscope. With many more photos taken during early childhood than routine eye exams, a new app called CRADLE (also called White Eye Detector) can help parents to scan through photos of their children, spotting any unusual ‘white eye’ reflections – known as leukocoria – that may need checking by a doctor. This set of leukocoric pupils on the left, and healthy ones on the right, from children under three years old, were used to train the software to spot tell-tale signs – potentially leading to earlier diagnosis of conditions that obstruct the eye, like childhood cataracts or amblyopia.

Oh I really do enjoy how the 2020s are shaping up to be a lot like the 1920s. You get a generation of lost kids that grew up during a war. They reject their parents conservative attitudes. The youth has created a resurgence of Dadaism and Nihilism that the older generations don’t understand. An artistic boom replacing the materialistic tendencies of our parents. The queer community is thriving in a way that it hasent been in years. Activism and socialist ideologies are on the rise again. How wonderful. It makes me want to go to Paris and be the next Gertrude Stein
The “would you choose your pets over your partner” argument is legit so stupid to me because no one who actually cares about you would ever ask you to make that choice. Like of course I’m going to choose my animals that are completely dependent on my care, love me unconditionally, and would not be able to understand why their lives were uprooted if I got rid of them over an asshole who made me make a choice like that despite knowing how important my animals are to me.
