Preaching to the choir here but many of these boycotts have nothing to do with Israel. They’re hypocritical and plain antisemitic in many cases, like when people wanted to boycott Dune 2 and the new James Bond films just because Timothee Chalamet and Aaron Taylor-Johnson are Jewish.
That being said, the spate of boycott lists and apps have been so helpful in telling me which brands and products to support 🤩 makes shopping so much easier.
Boycotting 620 companies is not going to work
I saw this list which has 620 companies to boycott.
Firstly, there are so many companies on the list which are there for stupid reasons, example:
Tumblr media
Guess you cannot condemm mass rape without being deserving of a boycott.
Not to mention Justin Beiber is on the list for an instagram post he made on Oct 11th giving his support for all those affected by Oct 7th in Israel. I guess not wanting innocent civlians to die is bad as long as their government does bad things
Tumblr media
This time straight up antisemitism in the next example
Tumblr media
World Jewish Congress (WJC) whilst are zionists, they want a peaceful two state solution and their main focus is on stopping antisemitism. I didn't know that preventing and stopping antisemitism was boycott worthy.
Now that we have the straight up stupid examples out the way, boycotting 620 companies and brands is simply not doable. Sorry to break it to ya, but it is not possible for a person to avoid 620 different brands and companies.
Going for 620 different brands and companies makes this boycott weak and unsustainable. If you want a sucessful boycott, you go for one or a few brands and companies at a time.
If anyone wants a laugh, i reccomend going through all the companies and brands to boycott. Youtube and Vidcon are also on the list.

it's "don't let yourself be radicalized" until you tell them to not support terrorist organisation or wish death onto people they see as evil.
if you think death threats are good when the person "deserves it", you're radicalized.
if you think supporting an organisation that have committed multiple crimes and is known for being terrorists, you're radicalized.
if you dehumanize the other side and believe they're evil/bloodthirsty/animals/brainwashed, you're radicalized.
if you think blind violence against regular people and small businesses is good when it's for the "right" cause, you're radicalized.
if you think children and minors are monsters for being born into a world that taught them to support the opposite side, you're radicalized.
even the most vile person on the planet is still human, if a movement tells you some people are less human because of their race, religion, gender, sexuality, or political beliefs:
YOU ARE BEING RADICALIZED.

Update:
So a few weeks have passed and apparently the CIA and Mossad were also behind:
- The solar eclipse
- The increased security at the European Champions League following threats from Islamic State terrorist groups
- A Vietnamese swindler being sentenced to death for fraud (I kid you not…)
- The death of Nobel Prize-winning British physicist Peter Higgs (I also kid you not…)
- The horrific stabbing attack in Sydney
We’re everything, everywhere, all at once.
I’ve seen some people say the Mossad and CIA are behind the terrorist attack in Russia, AND the ship accident that caused a bridge to collapse in Baltimore, in order to “distract the world”.
Can’t wait to see what’s next.

Yes, they know. And that’s exactly why they posted it.

"None of us are free until all of us are free." We know this phrase, whether we've used it or had it used against us. Many, too many, people used it to try justifying Oct 7th and the theoretical destruction of Israel.
Such usage of her words would have Emma Lazarus rolling in her grave. Lazarus was in fact a prominent Zionist, and her original words, "Until we are all free, we are none of us free" were meant to encourage international Jewish solidarity. If we were to add clarification to this quote it would be, "Until we (Jews) are all free (from persecution and antisemitism), we (Jews) are none of us free (from persecution and antisemitism)."
It was meant to encourage the creation of a Jewish state, the creation of Israel. It tells Jews who feel secure in their diaspora experiences that they cannot be free and safe from antisemitism until they can create a free and safe state for their less secure counterparts.
This quote has been taken out of its original context, has had its meaning mangled and manipulated, and has been appropriated to be used against the very purpose it was created for.
As such, it is time to reclaim these words. To use them as they were written to be used.
Until we are all free, we are none of us free
Until all of the hostages are free, no Jew is free.
Until all of Israel is free from constant threat, no Jew is free.
Until all Jews are free, no Jew is free.

I love how they’re ALWAYS wearing masks… as if they know that what they’re doing is evil and they want to remain anonymous to avoid consequences.
To those who may know these people personally, make sure to report them to the relevant authorities.

No matter what, don’t lose your humanity.
I see this rhetoric very often, that if you call for the release of the hostages and condemn Hamas terrorism and the atrocities they’ve committed, then you automatically “must support the death of Palestinian civilians”.
Conversely, those who claim to care about the Palestinian civilians don’t seem to call for the release of hostages, never acknowledge the rape, torture, and murder of civilians on Oct 7. In fact, they seem to celebrate death of who they perceive as “Zionist”.
I saw this play out before my eyes on TikTok. A singer named Cat Janice was dying from cancer, and she asked her audience to use her song in their videos as she had willed the proceeds to her young son who is not more than 7 or 8 years old. People labelled her a Zionist because she apparently was following an Israeli account on Instagram.
It was a very tragic story and her family was going through a hard time dealing with the aggressive cancer that was slowly weakening her body.
But as we’ve seen:
Tumblr media
They don’t care about people who are suffering from terminal illnesses and will harass them anyway.
In her videos of her giving updates on her situation and pleading with people for empathy for her young son, they flooded her comment section with spam:

Unfortunately, Cat Janice passed away, BDE. But that didn’t stop the harassment. In fact, some celebrated her death and even lauded it as a good thing as there is “one less Zionist” now.

Yes, there are people like this out there. This shouldn’t come as a surprise as they’ve been violent, they’ve been sending death threats, they’ve been chanting for violent “resistance” and “intifada” and the death of Jews and Israelis, as well as their allies. They celebrate violence in the most disgusting and dehumanising way possible.
Just look at the comments in this video of a Jewish creator saying that in Berlin, a Jewish student was attacked:

Meanwhile, we chant “Am Yisrael Chai”. We call for life, we focus on saving all lives, no matter who.
As the leaders of Hamas said in an interview, “The Israelis are known to love life. We, on the other hand, sacrifice ourselves. We consider our dead to be martyrs.”
Every innocent death is a tragedy, Israeli and Palestinian. Death IS a tragedy. The killing of Hamas terrorists, albeit deserved, is a tragedy because of the terroristic path they chose in life and what horrific crimes they had committed in order to warrant death as a means of justice.
As much as I wish that one day, those people who have spewed those vile, antisemitic, inhuman things will feel guilty for what they have said, I doubt they will. The perceived safety and anonymity of social media coupled with their complete absence of humanity, compassion, and empathy evaporates any drop of guilty conscience they may have. All we can wish is that fair and just consequences for their actions will be meted out to them one day.
But my fellow Jews, my fellow zionists, my fellow allies, please never, NEVER stoop to that level. It goes against everything we are about.
Once we lose our humanity, we’ll become dulled to the suffering of others. That’s not what we want, and it directly goes against the spirit of Judaism and Israel.
Continue to mourn the death of innocents, continue to get angry and weep for tragedy and injustice, continue to celebrate new life and lives saved. Continue to feel like a human being. Don’t be like them.
Don’t. Lose. Your. Humanity.

As Shabbat Zachor closes, remember the hostages and pray for all in Israel and Gaza who are vulnerable, hungry, and weary of war and terror. Hamas will not destroy us.
