giggles falls from the elder’s parted lips. two months ago he probably would’ve avoided offering valerie a bed for the sole reason he wouldn’t be able to trust himself. two months ago, he was holding back just as much as he is today. the only difference is, christian doesn’t have to. more than anything, he wants their relationship to be something that aids in her growth. if things doesn’t work out, the last thing he wants is for her to spiral out of control again. his grandmother once told him, leave people better off than when you met them. it’s something he has lived by. “if that’s something that you want, i’m fine with it.” he hums in agreement. his stomach starts to do somersaults at the mention of her friends, of brad. obviously he doesn’t want to take her away from them, but fear does brew at the thought of her being back in the environment. the elder reminds himself it’s all about trust. “mmm, well, once amanda is back from maternity leave. it’s soon and it makes sense. i think we can go a few more weeks, don’t you?” he wonders, a playful smile on his face. he’d miss the morning make outs, the evening office visits, but he knows it’s for the best. “what are you interested in getting into after you leave me?” the man mockingly pouts, bringing her hand to his lips to lay a kiss upon it.

valerie knew she could be a lot. it was why she had struggled so much in general to keep people around. hell her own parents had found ways to pawn her off when she was a child. it only made her intensify things which was wildly unhealthy. however the female had been trying a lot harder lately to not come off as that girl she once was. when he had groaned it only made the pit of her stomach turn to knots. things had been so great this week and here she was feeling like she was ruining it and they hadnt even boarded a plane yet. though when she heard him mention forever with him the knots were less anxious and worry and far more excitement. a smile tugged at her rosy red lips and she shook her head, "that is very kind of you.. and two months ago if you would have offered a bed for me to stay in i would have broke a leg trying to get there-" and here came the but. "but it is probably best we wait for that step." hell the two hadnt even slept together and val was doing a better job at not coming off so damn needy. being under his roof every night knowing he was in the room down the hall or even in the bed next to her could be a step back for her, for them. "it is fine. i can just stay with ash." as val had grown closer to christian she had grown further away from all of her friends, but mostly because she was no longer partying and ending up in jail cells next to them. that too could have been a set back. "or brad or something. thank you, but i am sure i can figure it out. i mean i should probably look for work elsewhere now that things are a little more... serious between us." though it came out more like a question than another. "especially before i crash there all the time. having to see me at work, at home and then outside of work i am pretty sure might be your breaking point." she teased.

his smug smirk appears permanent as he continues to eye the other. confidence is definitely a known trait of hunter’s and here is no difference. “it appears.” he mutters, a shrug following his words. pink tongue darting out to wet his parted lips, the man pretends to ponder for a moment. his index finger reaches up to tap lightly on his chin, “i guess you can say fate. when you know, you know.” curious eyes lingers on the other as she doesn’t ask but takes his phone. the moment the item is snatched from his hand, his heart leaps. when you know, you know his words repeats in his head. teeth grazing his bottom lip, eyes lowering into a confused look, hunter nods, “umm, you think? i’m sure someone whose looking for a hookup can careless about whether i’m a cat or dog person. unless they’re looking for other reasons that i can assure you i am not into.”

grace can't help the chuckle that escapes her petals at the male's words. she has met obnoxious men before, men that were full of themselves, although part of her told her that he was different. or maybe he was just terrible and she was awful at reading people. "clowns, huh?" she comments, still chuckling under her breath. "what makes you think we'll ever see each other again?" curiosity laces her tone for a second, and for a moment, she wishes she lived in a world where she was allowed to make her own choices, a world where her title wasn't constantly hanging over her head. "um, let's see." long legs close the distance between them until she can take his phone from his grasp and focus her blue hues on his screen. "you could have added things that actually matter, you know? like, how do you feel about animals? are you a dog person, a cat person? these things are important." trying to keep a serious expression on her features as she speaks.

to say that willow was disappointed was an undestatement. after spending a couple of weeks at grandmother’s house, the petite blonde was more than ready to go home. sure, it had been lovely and her grandmother was enjoying retirement in a beautiful, peaceful city, but the female missed the chaos of the city and everything that came with it. after sinking into her seat and wondering what her next move could be, she found herseslf scrolling through the dating app, mindlessly going through the profiles. she wasn’t even sure what she was looking for, what she wasn’t expecting, however, was the words that escaped the male not too far from her. heat flushes her cheeks a bright shade of pink, pearly whites sinking into her bottom lip as his words register with her. it only takes her a few seconds to make the connection, that he was in fact that guy she had just swept left on. “i’m sorry,” she’s quick to murmur, hoping the earth would swallow her whole. “in my defense, your bio didn’t exactly play in your favour.” she offers with a nervous giggle.

some may be offended as they watch themselves being swiped left on. hunter, however, finds it extremely amusing. the situation seems unreal, the male uncertain of what led him to even look over the femme’s shoulder into her phone. with no remorse, the man shakes his head, “it’s cool. you’re not into good looking guys. i wasn’t going to say this but clowns seem more your type.” he playfully utters, shifting his weight from both feet. his job requires him to have the least interaction with people, something he preferred yet here he is, unable to stop himself from continously bothering (flirting) with a woman in the airport. “how about you help a guy out? what could i have added or taken away to get a swipe right from you. it’ll help for the next time we’re in close contact.” hunter smirks, being sure to keep the distance between them...for now.

things had felt like a compelte fairy tale with christian over spring break. the two had flown away to some place sunny and it was like the rest of the world didnt matter. the man had made her feel like she was some princess living in some cheesy hallmark movie that she hadnt even noticed the two hadnt had physical contact. which was a step up from being back home where it was all she had thought about. the idea of not being good enough to touch him or vise versa had faded away with how truly blissful the week had felt. she was sad to see it all go away when they headed back to the real world and their lives. when he asked about her apartment she shook her head. “yeah, my father found out I flew out here with you and decide he would step in and make sure i didnt get it.@ she had confessed. “i didnt want to mention it and ruin our time.. but i will figure something else out. i have a friend i can crash with until i do.” she had reassured him.

things felt overwhelming quick with valerie which is hilarious because their relationship has been anything but. there’s still many mildstones that they’ve skipped over that christian is desperately hoping they’ll be able to experience. some examples includes late night talks, first dates, sex. despite the lack of it, he has been extremely contempt with how much their relationship is them. “ugh,” the elder groans, running a hand through his face. the view being better than the topic makes it all feel less weighted. “i wouldn’t mind you coming over for a bit, you’ll eventually be spending forever there but until then i’m barely home as is.” his last bit of his comment more of a warning than anything. “what better place than somewhere that fills your nostrils and eyesight of me without having me physically there.” he jokes, reaching over to take the other’s hand. “if it doesn’t work out, we can figure out an alternative afterwards.”

“about ready to go back home now?” he wonders. the duo has been living in bliss minus any sort of intense physical interaction for the pass five days. he isn’t quite sure how they’ve gotten through but he’s proud. as much as he loves hanging around valerie, spring break is over and tis the season where he gets the biggest case load. “have you heard anything about your apartment?” @daringsunflowers​

his flight being delayed is almost expected, annoyance rippling through him as he dreadfully calls his mother to tell her the bad news. the weather had been rough from the moment he woke up, but hunter assumed he’d be able to make it out in time. instead of sulking, he decides on a little fun, hoping to find someone for the next time he’s back in greece. hunter is in the process of swiping on tinder when he sees the familiar feather gray screen with pink writing on someone else’s phone. his dark gaze lingers on the other, watching as they swipe. it takes a while for the male to see himself pop up on the other’s screen. when his picture pops up, he’s amused, slightly hurt, to see them swipe left on him. “ouch! hard no for that one?”
