when you are pulling for a character in a gacha game with a guarantee, can it be considered a form of coercion? like, they've rejected you already, and you are forcing them to come to you anyway?

i certainly felt that way when i got 6 after losing 50/50. it was my last pull, on the last day of his banner. it doesn't help that 6's story line is about inevitability of fate and loss of autonomy. he fought me tooth and nail, like he fought his pre-destined non-con mind alteration, and he lost again.

my older friends and relatives think that our communication via infodumping is some weird form of showing-off. they just don't get this genuine pleasure of sharing random knowledge.

my favorite Millennial Thing™ is when a group of us are standing around and talking and someone asks a question that no one knows the answer to and suddenly it’s a race to get out your phone and google it and be the first to know, and then someone starts reading the Wikipedia article about the thing aloud to everyone else, and what started as a casual conversation is now A Learning Opportunity and we all walk away a little more knowledgeable about a random topic

Like, Boomers hate when we do that, but I think it’s one of the best things about us.

So long as we have internet or a cell signal, all of the world’s collective knowledge is at our fingertips, and damned if we aren’t going to use it.

A very self indulgent bit of art.

This year my beloved and ancient cat Randy passed away. He was vain, proud, and an insufferable curmudgeon through everything. I loved his stubborn streak, his haughty grouchiness, and his insistence on forcing me into tetris positions to sleep in as he demanded his space directly between myself and my husband and kept us up for hours with insistently loud and smelly bathtimes. I couldn't have asked for a better cat, and I miss him more than I ever could have imagined.

In light of all this, and our good friends who loved him too, we decided he is now in the care of our favorite Three Musketeer's villain, the Cardinal Richelieu, who historically loved and kept many cats, and with whom we think Randy's personality would be well matched.
