I was meant to do this after last weeks chapter but I couldn’t be bothered so I’m doing it now! Also this is going to be jumbled up because I haven’t mentally planned this like I usually would with this sort of post.

So there were lots of things wrong with that chapter so I’m going to try and paragraph it, though it may not be in order.

So I would summarize this chapter as the ‘start of Poppy’s redemption arc thing’. PB did everything they SHOULDNT have done instead of not doing things they SHOULD have done. Anyway so MC and zoey go to poppy to warn her about a (rightfully so) angry mob that was going after her. So mc and zoey take poppy to that place and have an argument or something about x and the mob. They plan to do a live stream of poppy ‘apologizing’ mixed with terrible acting.

My problem with this is the fact that:

- the apology was fake

- the fact that you didn’t get the choice to call poppy out on her bigotry and make her apologize for it

- the fact that pb tried to imply that after apologizing poppy started feeling remorse instead of a ridiculous amount of entitlement, self centered snob who is treated like mummy and daddy’s little angel who could do no wrong 🥺.

Pb is continuously digging themselves into a deeper whole with people who experience some form, or multiple forms of, bigotry, whether it’s gender, race, social class etc. poppy should not be given the option to become a potential li or even allow players to flirt with her.

Poppy: is literally everything wrong in a person, literally has done every form of bigotry and has behaved in a way which has a major negative impact on average everyday people, is a literal scum.

Stans: omg 😫 poppy hot 🥵 make poppy li 😍 poppy queen 🥰 rip me open poppy 😫🥵😍🥰❤️

People who recognize poppy’s behaviour and still want her to become an li really proves that they don’t either actually care about social issues or discrimination and believes that this behaviour is acceptable. I honestly don’t think people can get through to these people since it’s like talking to a brick wall 99% of the time.

I’m going to be so disappointed if I ever see a poppy Stan post something about social issues like racism because they literally lust over a character who has acted in the very way that they’re ‘speaking out against’. Obviously there is nothing wrong about wanting a villain character to become an li but when they’re every form of bigotry then that’s a problem!

I think he’s talking about annual leave which needs to be booked in advanced, like you can’t just not turn up one day because you want the day off. Not only that but it’s only 16 weeks unless you work in education, but even then working in a childcare setting you may end up working all year round.

Babu is literally annoying me at the moment 🙄 I know I shouldn’t get annoyed by a book of fictional characters but it’s the way it’s written. So I’m gonna list what annoys me and if anyone’s confused they can ask (it’s literally midnight at the time I’m making this 😳)

Using babies for personal and political gain (please stop using the babies to get what you want)

Over protective parenting (I get not letting kids eat sand but that was an overreaction, also telling that 1y/o off for nearly catching one of the babies with a toy 🙄 how about telling him talking to a toddler like a toddler instead of a child with better understanding, also imagine having a go at someone else for discouraging negative behaviour, like how about watch you’re child and discipline them yourself🙄)

Also why is it always the mc who is carrying the babies around? What about the LI, I mean they have arms too 🙄

Also these babies must be around 6-9 months, they don’t completely understand what you’re saying, like their understanding is starting to recognise familiar people and being weary of strangers, also babies don’t necessarily respond like that

Also, in the US do babies and toddlers not get check ups from the midwife to make sure they’re healthy and haven’t got any additional needs or something?

Also I feel like when politics is involved, it’s not very democratic, like I don’t know why but it just doesn’t

For some reason the mc (and other mc’s when they have children) makes it seem like they’re sheltering their kids (link back to the sand and stuff)

To be honest, I feel like this shouldn’t have been a book that involves politics because (like I already said) the babies are used for mc and and the other characters benefit instead of letting them just be parents and children. Like pb please stop using the twins to get votes 😬 it’s cringey!

I might do more another time because I’m tired and can’t be bothered to think of anymore!

Honestly I’ve been planning on posting this for the last week and thought the picture above summaries the UK government perfectly!

If you didn’t know, earlier this month Sarah Everhard (sorry if I spelt her name wrong) was assaulted and killed by a police officer in Clapham. Fortunately the officer was found guilty and charged for his murder. After her body was discovered, the weekend after hundreds or women and allies went to her vigil to pay respects to her and other women killed. Since then there has been more conversation across the UK about women’s issues and women’s rights (including statistics of 97% of women in the UK experiencing some form of harassment, assault etc). Anyway, at the vigil police arrived and started to attack people there (there’s a picture of a woman pinned down by police officers from the vigil) and people ended up injured. In response to this, the tories (particularly P**t* P***l) decided to criminalize all forms of protests (the law is still going through). Since then there have been multiple protests across mainly Bristol. At these protests the Police started to attack peaceful protesters and got police dogs and riot horses involved. Above is a petition to put a stop to the CHIS act from passing (covert human intelligence source, info is on the petition sight!). The UK is starting to become a fascist country so it’s urgent for us to sign as many petitions and attend as many protests as we can. The petition above can only be signed by UK residents, so if you’re outside of the UK share this! I know this isn’t something I would usually post and I usually reblog stuff, but I wanted to do something, and I want to do more! I may start a political blog that would center mainly around UK politics but I’ll think about it later so I’ll keep an update!

Would the bidders get bullied if they were in the UK?

Honestly this is what I’ve been thinking about recently and I feel like if I don’t then it will haunt me so I’m doing it!

Eisuke:

Not while in school, private college and private uni, but by the bidders or any other friends for having private education. Literally, if he said that they had to wear top hats as part of the uniform, you can bet that will be used against him. Even something as small as what seasoning was used on their food, he would get bullied for.

Soryu:

Not really, I think either no one would care or they’re too scared. Though Eisuke will definitely bring up some embarrassing private school story to tease him with.

Baba:

Probably for his age and womaniser personality for if he gets rejected by a girl. Would probably make jokes about being an orphan as well.

Ota:

For his borderline beastiality fetish. And no you can’t prove me wrong!

Mamoru:

Probably bullying him for his health due to his smoking. Would make jokes about him not living to 50 because of how much he smokes.

Luke:

His collarbone fetish and poor lifestyle choices.

Hikaru:

His attitude, literally if he insults someone, that persons gonna go off on him, Hikaru would probably be quiet for a while.

Hishikura:

For being smart. He would either be asked stuff and would get bullied for it later or would just get straight up bullied.

Rhion:

As innocent as he is, it doesn’t protect him for getting bullied. Would get bullied for being too pure for us, would get asked super inappropriate questions that he would innocently answer because he doesn’t get that they’re bullying him. MC would stand up for him though!

MC:

If she was in the UK I imagine her being brought up in an area with high levels of poverty, where the homes are mainly run by the council, for that reason she’s the one doing the bullying (apart from towards Rhion). She’ll have the best insults and will knock your self esteem cripplingly low because when you grow up in those areas, you’re surrounded by road men and chavs!
