I’ve just sat on my dad’s piss off the toilet, I can see my tummy stretch marks growing, I’m just after sneakily buying a pizza I really shouldn’t have eaten, I’ve a very pickable spot on my chin, my eyes are stinging from tired and yet, minus the minor discomfort of someone else’s piss clinging to my bum, I’m perfectly fucking content thankyou…

Can I be too horny? Did a google search: turns out, yes. Not sure if it’s bollocks or not— who is anyone to tell anyone how much horniness is the limit? Why should there be a point to seek profesh help( it it hasn’t inhibited your life) ? Anyways, upon my search, all results, with the word female included in my query, I found article upon article explaining how we can contain our levels of arousal as women. All of course phrased in a Self Help! Way: very tactful and how-to. I suppose men wouldn’t search such things given the normalisation of male horniness, but the way it’s phrased just icks. A point in contrast might be the book diary of a teenage girl- the words surrounding female libido used are normal and relatable, as opposed to dancing around getting anywhere: perhaps unconsciously holding onto female themes of delicacy. I just ask why I have the impulse to make excuses for my sexuality and think that maybe when women and young1s like me search such things the results contain writing like I’m doing here. Writing that causes us to question why we’ve searched it in the first place instead of appeasing our society-imposed perception of how women should approach sex and sex drive. “Feeling horny is completely normal”. Articles then proceed to list the reasons why we may feel this way (e.g. hormones, period, etc etc). Like no the fuck way. Just because we don’t have a pointy reminder does not mean that this isn’t the case. I love the idea of sex I love people I want to fuck -so do we all
Taboo my arse. This is the appeasement I craved, not a flimsy confirmation that women do, in fact, get horny. Some bloody mystery- now fetishised and/or judged.
