Derek x Peter (Teen Wolf) Rated: Teen Word Count: 3.5K Tags: Bad Parent/Alpha Talia Hale, Derek Hale Angst, Angst with a Happy Ending (happy being relative...), Violent Peter Hale but no graphic violence

Summary: That cold, frigid emptiness inside of him was where his wolf should’ve been. With spells and a Nemeton and the darkness of a new moon, Derek’s wolf was gone - given to Peter.

Derek was human, while Peter would never be human again.

Feral, his mother said with a voice so, so gentle. Too much wolf for one soul. It wasn’t like a natural influx of power when becoming an Alpha; it was another wolf, a merging of two, an abomination that was never meant to exist.

Peter was gone. Peter was feral.

Peter was dead, because while he’d ran before Derek’s mother and Alpha was forced to bestow a mercy killing, eventually hunters or other wolves would catch and kill him. It had to be done, and hopefully before Peter slaughtered innocents because he was out of his mind, unable to control himself. It was only a matter of time.

At least Derek would be spared the pain of feeling that death, his mother assured. He couldn’t feel the breaking of a bond he didn’t have, because humans didn’t have mates.

I found some old (15+ years) notebooks as I was cleaning, and I've taken such a trip down memory lane with paging through the story bits and pieces I wrote down then.

Forgot I wrote a Twilight fic! And lol the Harry Potter x King Arthur crossover I imagined. Where was I going with this Inuyasha fic because I only wrote a few paragraphs?? Since when did I jot down ideas for Bones fanfic??? Lol the drama in the piece of Hermione breaking the no-eating rule of the library (and smuggling in Muggle food!) to have an Oreo snack break.

The time has come for them to be put to final rest in the trash, but I need to properly savor the moment because future!me won't have them to look back on and experience the joyful nostalgia.

Apparently I started this a year ago and forgot about it. Snapshot of an 'I didn't know I was pregnant' Sterek fic.

“Am I interrupting a touching moment?”

Peter appeared behind Scott, startling both of them. Derek’s claws popped out and his eyes flashed before he caught himself, and he couldn’t meet Peter’s gaze, embarrassed at his lack of control.

“What the hell are you doing here?” Scott snarled.

Peter raised a judgmental eyebrow as Scott flashed his red eyes.

"Visiting my favorite nephew. Which I thought would be obvious, given how I’m standing outside Derek’s apartment. What are you doing here?”

“None of your business,” Scott growled.

Derek huffed and stepped back into his apartment. “Don’t wolf out in my hallway. Come in as long as you don’t destroy anything.”

Great news! As we've mentioned all proceeds from this zine were going to be donated to Doctors Without Borders. After the creation and the shipping of the zines there was an incredible amount of 991,67 euros which the mods evened out to 1000 euros! We've donated this amount and are sure Doctors Without Borders will be able to do great things with this money.

WIP Wednesday

Here's an interaction between Blaine and Hunter in what was a 5K oneshot and now I'm attempting to insert enough plot to make it more like a novella.

“Can I help you?” Blaine asked, forcing the politeness to outweigh his confusion.

“Yes, you can.”

Blaine waited, but the man only continued to smile.

Frowning, Blaine pressed. “I’m sorry, how do we know each other?”

The question earned him a scoff. “You don’t have to pretend you don’t remember.”

Flushing, Blaine scanned his memory. The man was tall with spiky brown hair. Broad shoulders and muscled, the shirt hugging his body nicely. Attractive enough that Blaine thought he would’ve remembered meeting.

Wincing with guilt, he shook his head. “I could use some help. I’m so sorry.”

“Dalton,” the man drawled, rolling his eyes like it was the height of inconvenience. “Senior year. You do still remember the Warblers, don’t you? How you spurned our invitation to join?”

Pieces clicked into place. Blaine snapped his fingers. “You’re the captain who forced everyone to take steroids!”

Hey, Seblainers! Hellooooo, everyone else!

Bliadhna Mhath Ùr, to you all, I hope everyone's year has started in a positive way. Well...it's that time again, folks! Seblainintine's Weekend is coming up soon, but...this year, we are doing things a bit differently.

As I'm sure you've all noticed, Valentine's Day falls on a very awkward day this year. Many countries see it as bad luck to celebrate anything before the actual day, and holding it after the event seems completely redundant...

So...this time we are having an extended celebration of our beautiful boys and their love, running from Wednesday 14th until 23:59 on Sunday 18th February.

There are only three themes for this event, and as always, you can write/create for one, two, or all three of the themes, and you can, of course, combine the themes in any way you like.

Pick a mafia premise:

Lonely businessman (Sebastian) takes on a new job of managing a club and/or restaurant which is owned by the rival heir (Cooper) of the one that got away (Blaine). Sebastian gets another chance at romance as they plot to sabotage Cooper from the inside so that Blaine inherits the mafia family business.

After being dumped, Blaine is almost attacked outside of a gay club but ends up protected by the local mafia - one that is headed by an old flame (Sebastian) who let Blaine go once and isn't going to make that mistake again.

Possibly nothing of substance will come from any of this but I've been daydreaming and am now curious as to a general consensus

i'm always a bit unsettled by disdain for intellectual or creative labor in leftist spaces. there's this commonly held belief that academics are a bunch of rich old white men, rather than a wide variety of people who are barely getting by. most lecturers in universities are adjuncts living paycheck to paycheck. authors make very little money as a general rule. most researchers are overworked and underpaid. and yet there's still this idea that academics are overcompensated to sit around and smoke cigars together while making shit up
