One of the hard parts about being a writer with a vivid imagination is that there are So Many Ideas, and they fall into so many categories, such as

There is just One Scene and I could write it but it would be waaaay more cool if I had all the build up to the scene but unfortunately. I can only figure out the Scene

I keep changing my mind. Where am I going with this

Man why are Darth names just... so bad? Lmao

Was looking up some Darths for a possible fic (Yra naming off a bunch of Darths she doesn't like in it and wanted some legit ones in there) and just.

Why.

Why are they all named like an edgy 15 year old named them 😭

Like I knew some were a Choice (tm) already, but when you see them all in a list....

Had a rather fucked-up thought for Star Wars, wrt Sith and their relationship with their apprentices. CW for incest, sexual assault, child abuse, and other such nasties. Will continue under the cut, if you don't wanna be subject to such content (it's not super in depth but still), scroll by and do not click on the read more.

So. I have noticed that is incredibly common for Sith Lords to either

Be in a relationship with their apprentices; or

Be related to their apprentices (usually parent/child).

So... it leads one to think, considering how messed up and nasty the Sith can in fact be (as much as we may love to play as them in SWTOR), who's to say that there isn't... overlap between the two? Are there Sith raising their children as their apprentices as well as subjecting them to various incenstuous nasties?

Even if we weren't to go that far, scenarios 1 and 2 are somewhat horrific in and of their own rights.

Scenario 1: As the apprentice to a Sith Lord, they are entirely subject to every whim of said Lord, and as far as I can tell have few, if any, legal protections. A sith lord can basically do whatever they want to their apprentice. If said sith lord wants to be in a relationship with their apprentice... they really don't have much of a choice in the matter, do they? And even for those who (appear to be) consenting, how much of that is an act? And considering that the sith (and the Jedi, to be fair, they're just usually not as nasty about it) can literally mess with your mind, who's to say that they said mind rape wasn't used to warp their apprentice into coming around to a relationship?

Scenario 2: Like said above, Sith Lords get away with all manner of abuses with their apprentices. Nothing will stop them from being cruel to their own children, either (think of the Honour Guard who's son dies in the temple - he has quite a dismissive opinion of his son, and he is only upset with his son's death because it makes HIM look bad and taints the family name). Being subjected to child abuse is already a nightmare, just imagine if your parent is a sith lord.
