i love how bewildered the rest of the foxes are when andrew does what neil asks. they’re watching this all go down thinking neil must be fucking magic when all neil’s doing is treating him w respect… and being understanding of his trauma… and like… not assuming the worst of andrew’s motivations behind his actions

if i had to choose one scene from aftg to read from andrew’s pov it’d be when he’s going to buy his new car and neil calls him when he’s having his panic attack, like imagine being andrew then, neil’s calling, neil who rarely even has his phone turned on, calling, it must be an emergency, what if it’s something bad and andrew’s not there to protect him like he promised he would? (we all know how andrew needs to be in control of every situation) And then he picks up the phone, says neil’s name, but he’s not responding, it’s been a whole minute, probably more, a thousand things come to andrew’s mind of what might have happened; and then neil says come and get me from the stadium, and finally finally there’s something andrew can do about it. Imagine being kevin just then, them almost being at the interstate and andrew takes a U-turn and goes back all the way but thinks better than to comment on it, sees a broken neil and understands. Andrew’s already figured it out that if he didn’t go back for neil, he would’ve ran, after what happened yesterday; this was andrew keeping his promise to protect neil, even if it were from neil himself.

I made myself sad so everyone else has to be sad: do you ever think about the fact that Andrew could see Aaron's grief and hatred of him (from Andrew's pov, because we know Aaron doesn't actually hate him) as Aaron all but saying he'd rather live with his abusive mother than Andrew? And that every time Aaron tries to break their deal he's saying "I wish she was still alive, I wish I'd listened to her about not contacting you, I wish I'd never made the deal, I wish I was spending my life with anyone but you, how many times do I have to show you that I don't want this deal, why would you let me leave?" And Andrew just clings tighter and keeps reminding Aaron of what Tilda did to him and what he did for him because that's his brother and sooner or later Aaron will realise that no matter how much he hates Andrew and pushes him away and hurts him, Andrew's not going anywhere and it doesn't matter if Aaron keep breaking their deal, Andrew will keep reminding him that he's breaking it but he's staying anyway.

Except to Aaron this is all Andrew hating him. Because he should have listened when Andrew told him to fuck off the first time, because Andrew felt so bad for him he left his perfect life with a family who loved him and was about to adopt him and still wanted him despite his criminal record, and instead has to come and protect Aaron from his fucked up life, no wonder he hates him and ignores him and pushes him away all the time. It's no wonder he hated Tilda so much he killed her or that he's mad that Aaron grieves for the one person who wanted him, even if she wasn't perfect. He only speaks to Aaron to mock him or to berate him, constantly reminding him of the fact that the one person who wanted him is dead and was abusive, and forcing Aaron not to have any chance of people of his own, because if Aaron ruined Andrew's perfect so Andrew won't allow Aaron a chance at his.

so sorry to nicky but if i had witnessed neil’s ability to convince andrew to do things, andrew’s violent reaction when neil went missing and then the whole entire scene in the hotel room, my immediate assumption about andreil’s relationship would not be that they were hate-fucking. like that is the most in-love-with-each-other behavior i have ever seen
