I didn't attend art school, the most I've done is an online class for character/story development. The majority of what I know is self-taught. I've been drawing for as long as I can remember and it's mostly motivated by fanart haha.

When I'm trying to improve my techniques, I try to focus on one small manageable thing at a time. Whether it be value, composition, anatomy etc. it's much easier if you can break it down. For example, it's overwhelming to study the anatomy of the entire body at once, so I'll usually pick one muscle group or part of the body to drill. Recently it was the crook of the elbow and how the neck connects to the jaw/collar. It takes a lot of time and trial/error. Allow yourself the grace and patience to grow at your own pace ❤️.
