Simon's a good guy who is understandably very panicked and confused he's like a boomer trying *very* hard to comprehend what this newfangled cat jay pee tee the kids are talking about is

I wouldnt say anything Simon does is on the level of self-awareness and intent FP did. Simon just refuses to understand and thats where his stress comes from. He doesnt really do anything of real consequence, that we know of, and hes got strong morals. Simon and Catherine would probably both look at FP like wtf is wrong with you

due to the number of fans of both SOMA & rain world, i thought i should share some similarities between simon & five pebbles (spoilers for both games)

both wish to escape what to them is eternal torture (5p being stuck endlessly pondering an unanswerable question, simon being forced to suffer in a body that isnt his & with his life at constant risk)

due to their stress, anxiety, & anger both end up attacking others (5p hurts moon in an attempt to escape, & simon attacks catherine when his escape "fails")

they both end up making a final sacrafice, but for different reasons (5p in order to atone for his harm, & simon out of false hope)

both end up left alone to rot, to ponder their mistakes

both end up being "freed" in some way (saint & simon 4)

in conclusion, i think they would either get along or hate each other (probably the second)

i also could probably articulate this better but im too tired too so if anybody else wants to feel free to do so 👍

(moon & catherine would be besties though)

The more I play Downpour, the more I find myself kind of disasatisfied with both Metropolis and Bitter Aerie. Mostly in that both feel a little bit underwhelming for what they are in terms of the game's lore. It feels like they're missing any obvious culture set dressing, even if it would have been faded... ESPECIALLY so in Metropolis case.

Like what does either of them really tell you about the ancients?! There's no real decorations or anything that have faded with time, no statues or even more murals, different murals-- feels a bit shame. Sure it's interesting and fun to go through the first time, but feels a bit... lacking, there are some areas, but nothing that really sticks out. Aside you know, the overseers adverts and a few scattered bits of gravity... but the majority is just more scavenger markings and deco.

Also in Metropolis I feel a little bit disappointed we don't really see the damage that the scavengers have done. Like Pebbles says they're ripping up the area for electrical parts and yet we don't have to dodge any real electrical hazards as Artificer aside the electric spears. Missed opportunity honestly. No wires to dodge, torn up metal, maybe a tesla coil or something. But that one's just me wishing that there was a bit more environment about Pebbles complaint.

i feel like a lot of the 'i hate kids' crowd would be more tolerant if they understood that due to a kid's limited experience of the world that 4 hour flight might just be the longest they've ever had to sit still for or that trapped finger might literally be the most pain they've ever felt in their short life or they might not have ever seen a person with pink hair ever so of course they want to touch it or nobody's told them yet that they can't run around the museum and they only just learned cheetahs are the fastest animals so of course they want to put that to the test. how were they supposed to know etc etc.

Pups+ is now updated for v1.9.15! Along with the port, there is a new update that includes various bugfixes, changes to how slugpup variants personalities and stats are affected, and new remix options such as disabling Rotundpup on back exhaustion and allowing Tundrapups to throw spears at a reduced damage! This update also includes an outdated version for v.1.9.06b for those who are still downpatching, it should automatically be detected if you are on that version.

Hey tumblr, google refuses to help me so I come to you with this question.

Since the most recent update for Rain world, I have a bug where pups' food pip bar does not appear after i sleep in a shelter with one and Im pretty sure theyre not tamed either.

Turning off all my mods spare for the four "canon" ones related to the dlc did not help, either.

Does anyone else experience this?
