Can i be real and ask you why you like and follow so many transphobic things of Twitter?
I don’t expect you to answer this honestly, but with all due respect I think it’s a very two faced thing to do. You interact with talk to and follow a lot of openly trans creators, and then like and follow the transphobic posts and posters. If you do answer this, please, it’d be nice to have an explanation.
If you have a view please stand by it. Don’t be two faced. genuinely, if you have a view, don’t be too cowardly to share it.
the only reason this is on anon is because I don’t want to be involved with potential drama <3
It’s an infinitely worse look, cat. It’s also very disappointing and I’d LIKE to be wrong, not to be dramatic, but I’m sure the people I’ve spoken with would also like to be wrong. Part of having a platform is you need to make sure you aren’t misleading people.
Thanks.
(also multiple people I’ve spoken with know and have seen these transphobic things you’ve liked, for the record, so if you bless this with a response, please don’t lie about it. Genuinely that would be really embarrassing if you lied about it…
I’d really like to hear what you have to say about it instead of having someone expose it without giving you a chance to like…share your explaination, at least.)
You have lots of people who have their faith in you as someone in this fandom. Who love your content. A lot of these people are trans. If you are transphobic, fucking say it thank you.
I’m friends with people who have expressed some deep hurt over finding this out.
It seems fair to be honest with them. This isn’t a hate ask, nor is it meant to be read as passive aggressive.
I’d just love to have a response. Again, don’t expect one but thought I’d try. Please, consider responding as an adult and just be honest about it regardless of if your genuine answer is that you hate trans people or if you want to call bs. I’d love to believe there’s a different reason for liking and following those things but it looks very bad as of now.
With all politeness and respect due to you,
- a fellow human who is merely…frustrated
Oh sure, I will gladly explain my beliefs for everyone here to see!
The truth is I am a Christian, and I believe what God said in Genesis 5:2 "He created them male and female, and blessed them, and called them Mankind in the day they were created" is true. We are born either male or female, and that is all we will ever be.
Do I still interact with "trans" artists and like their art? Yes! Why? Because I like what they drew and I have no problem praising them for their skills, regardless of our different world views. It's not being hypocritical- it's treating them like a person and not a label.

Me: *Removes my cat from my lap to do something else.*
My cat: Father is...evil? Father is unyielding? Father is incapable of love? I am running away. I am packing my little rucksack and going out to explore the world as a lone vagabond. I can no longer thrive in this household.

He deleted his twitter but he's still on Tumblr (as of making this rb anyways)
This is an official post that details and exposes the abusive behavior Zippydozane has exhibited in the fandom.
Many TWs ahead for topics such as self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, grooming, pedophilia, and so much more. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nT5yuYyWVxdimEJ6jVL9KV2z0LXuDjz7Ye5DhvvMtyY/edit?usp=sharing You may know Zippydozane for his character Zane, or his famous UTMV oc polls.
And after taking an entire day or two to brush over the stories the victims had, we have finally gathered enough evidence that shows: Zippydozane, a 25 year old of being guilty of things such as grooming a 16 year old to date him, being explicitly sexual around minors and including them in sexual conversations, manipulative/toxic behavior, and threatening things like self-harm or discussing making himself vomit (like an eating disorder) and such around minors and generally just being a god awful person.
And I think that's plenty enough, and I think it's about time the fandom actually knows what he did to these people, rather then being able to sweep it under the rug and slander his victim's names.
He wanted to insist so badly there was no proper proof of it and that everyone was a liar, so hopefully a google doc around 38 pages is enough evidence of him and maybe he'll do everyone a favor and never go around the kids in this fandom or ANY fandom again.

This post is your reminder that you are not obligated to blog about current events.
Things are bad. Really bad. Do not let people guilt trip you into tormenting yourself even further over the fact that things are bad. Doomscrolling is not activism.
If you're just on tumblr to blorbopost or reblog pretty pictures, you are not harming people by inaction.
You are not a bad person for not dedicating every aspect of your life and leisure space to whatever disgusting mask-off attack on human life and dignity some government has decided to enact.
Take action where you can, but don't confuse doomscrolling and digital self harm for action.
If you need to lose yourself in blorboposting, go for it.
If you need to log off for the day, whether it's to take irl action or to protect what little sanity any of us have left over the past 7 years, then by all means, do.
Morale is important. Hope is important. Small joys keep us from burning out completely in times like this. Do not let any "if you don't reblog this I'm judging you" guilt trip convince you otherwise.

AO3 Etiquette
It would seem a whole new kind of AO3 reader/writer is emerging and it is becoming clear not everyone quite understands how the website community works. Here is some basic guidance on how most people expect you to go about using AO3 to keep this a fun community archive that funtions correctly:
Kudos is for when the story was interesting enough to make you finish reading. If it sucked or was badly written, you probably left. If you finished - you kudos.
If you liked it, you should comment. It can be long and detailed or a literal keysmash. Writers don't care, we just love comments.
No critisism unless the author has specifically asked or agreed to hear it. Even constructive critisism is a no-no unless an author note tells you it's okay. Many people write as a fun hobby or a way to cope with, among other things, insecurity. Don't ruin that for them.
Do not comment to ask the author to write/update something else. It's tacky and off-putting and will probably have the opposite effect than the one you want.
There is no algorithm, it's an archive. Use the search and filter function to add/remove the pairings/characters/tropes etc. you want to read about and it will find you the fics that fit the bill.
For this to work, writers must tag and rate stories. This avoids readers finding the wrong things and missing the stuff they want. I don't care how cringy that trope is in your eyes - it gets tagged.
Character A/Character B means a ROMANTIC or SEXUAL relationship of some kind. Character A&Character B is PLANTONIC, like friendship or family.
Nothing is banned. This is an implicit rule because banning one thing is a slipperly slope to banning another and another, until nothing is allowed anymore. Do not expect anyone to censor for you. Because of the tags system, you are responsible for your own reading experience.
People can create new chapters and sequels/fic series any time after they "complete" a story. So it's considered perfectly normal to subscribe, even to a finished story. You can even subscribe to the author instead just to cover your bases.
Do not repost stories or change the publishing date without an extremely good reason (like a complete top to bottom rewrite). It's an archive, not social media. No one cares what's the most recent, only what fits their tag needs.
Avoid deleting a story you wrote if you hate it - orphan it so others can still enjoy it, without it being connected to you anymore.
This is a creative fanfiction archive. No essays on your insights or theories please. There are other places for that.
I KNOW there's plenty more I missed but I'm trying to cover most of the basics that people seem to be struggling with.
I invite anyone to add to this, but please explain, don't berate.
