Summary: At last, Wei WuXian discovers the names of Lan WangJi’s rabbits.  

Notes: Ref. Chapter 19, 65;; A drabble based on a headcanon I talked about with my friend ♡. (Also on Ao3)

“Wei Ying.”

Wei WuXian was just about to treat Lil’ Apple to a delicious juicy apple when he heard Lan WangJi call his name. His voice sounded gentle, and he immediately looked to see him in the distance, in his rabbit garden. He was surrounded by little white fluffs that begged for this attention. 

Wei WuXian smirked. So that’s where he was! And he sensed him from that far? His husband was as sharp as ever! 

He was about to answer to his call when he noticed Lan WangJi wasn’t looking in his direction, he barely seemed to notice he was here. 

“Wei Ying,” Lan WangJi repeated, and he indeed did not look this way at all. He was looking down, and then one of the fluffy white rabbits came hopping towards him. It climbed up without Lan WangJi having to bend down, and he cradled the little thing in his arm, stroking its white fur fondly. 

Wei WuXian looked at him with big eyes. Well, the shock and surprise of his husband being a rabbit-cuddler had been long over, long before they even got together. But… Did he understand correctly? Was that rabbit named.. after him?
