I met him for a second time. I laughed. He held me. I cried the day after, wondering if I will ever accept that men can be just good. He probably isn’t, I hysterically shout in my head through the waterfalls on my cheeks. My mom’s asleep, I put my hand over my mouth praying she won’t hear me. I told her you were nice. She told me I might have a boyfriend soon. I don’t want to kiss you. I don’t want to hold your hand. I don’t want to feel your hand caressing my back. You didn’t do anything wrong. It’s just me, living in my head. Like I always have. Always will.
