Regardless of your favorite ship, Eddie asking Marisol to move in with him was so mind boggling that i went brain dead during that episode. Eddie is a single father with a minor child who is struggling with the loss of his mother. There was literally a recent episode on how much he is struggling.

This isn't to say Eddie can't move on, but Marisol's role in Christopher's life would have drastically changed if she would have stayed. She can say that she won't replace Shannon, but no doubt, it would have felt like it to Christopher. I think Christopher needs to get to know Marisol first before she moves in and becomes a 'Stepmom' like figure (yes I know they aren't married but she would be living with them like a step parent). He should have been the focus of the writers wanted to do this storyline.

I think Christopher was missing from this episode so the writers could pretend this moving in wouldn't have greatly affected him. This way the writers can minimize how big this move would have been for him: the first new romantic partner moving in. This way Eddie doesn't look like a stereotypical bad dad who moves in a new woman so quickly. It wouldn't have looked horrible if Christopher was there to witness this hot mess. Don't do that to Eddie.

What were the writers thinking with this story?
