Welcome to my blog entirely devoted to Kirby, the little jerk that keeps my life entertaining.
Kirby is a 5-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi who is incredibly devious and regularly outsmarts me. As hard as I try though, it’s very hard to stay mad at him because he’s absolutely hilarious. I’ll be posting Kirby’s past and present adventures here regularly. Enjoy and feel free to ask any questions!
Yesterday was unseasonably warm, so we took our first family walk with the dogs and baby. I think the boys were super glad to get out of the house for more than just a quick potty trip and the sunshine felt so good!
Sorry for the lack of posts, but it's been a wild Christmas around here! My baby girl is finally here, and we are all adjusting to the wonderful chaos of our new family. The dogs are doing well so far with her, but their interaction is limited for now. Baxter is 100% trustworthy and amazing (see: picture where he is waiting at the entrance to the nursery to be invited in). Kirby is doing alright, but gets very stressed when baby cries. He's been very gentle when I've allowed him to check her out, but he gets frantic and barks when she cries. Anyone else with babies and dogs have this issue or any advice? He's doing better each day, and I believe he will settle in as he gets more used to her. Overall, despite the stress and lack of sleep, I have to say my life has changed completely for the better in the past week since her arrival and my heart is so full with love for my family, human and otherwise. :) I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!
Being pregnant sometimes means things like suddenly NEEDING grape juice while you are in the bath tub... Luckily I have a husband often willing to accommodate my requests, but the result is often a stalker for the remainder of my bath time. He would kill for those grape-flavored ice cubes.
