Mothers will stay with their young all the way through their growth stages, and once the offspring flinch the nest, the mother will stay for another two months to ensure that her chicks can eat, drink, and fly on their own.

Can Budgies learn to talk?
Budgies are on of the best parrots to learn how to talk. They able to learn phrases, whistles, and sounds easily. One budgie has even been recorded to speak more than 1,700 words! All though males are the best talkers, and they learn words more easily, females are able to learn a few words.
