Jiraiya wakes to the sight of an unfamiliar ceiling, groggy as if pulled from a deep sleep and unable to move an inch.

While not an uncommon occurrence, he usually remembers exactly what led to him being in such a state. If he were ever actually as drunk and encumbered as he appeared, he would have been robbed and likely killed long ago. Considering he can't quite seem to recall what happened that resulted in him being tied to a chair in a foreign room this time, he has more than enough reason to be a little concerned.

Or well, he would be if he didn't recognize the shinobi in the room with him.

Hiruzen smiles sheepishly when he catches Jiraiya's eye, but he clearly doesn't feel guilty enough not to have taken part in whatever this little operation is in the first place. Regardless, he's a stubborn brat and loyal to a fault, so Jiraiya dismisses the idea of extracting useful information from him. He also discards the possibility of probing Torifu, who merely stares steadily back at him without a shred of remorse, and Homura, who maintains a stern expression but betrays his anxiety due to the unnatural, stiff way he's holding himself.

Obviously the real mastermind here is…

Koharu smiles at him in such a way that the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. 

"Welcome back, Sensei. It's been a while."

Scratch that. He's concerned. He's very concerned. He also has a pretty good idea as to how he was apparently drugged. Kunoichi and their poisons, honestly. If she hadn't been so damned skilled with them, Jiraiya would have gladly talked her into learning literally anything else. Somehow he knew it was going to bite him in the ass one day.

Just thought of a fun idea for an AU: Uchiha Katsuki ends up in world where he DID exist - not as a replacement for Sasuke, but as his deceased older brother. So it would be Itachi > Katsuki > Sasuke, age wise.

Maybe having one of his little brothers die just like. Makes Itachi even more inclined to do whatever unhinged shit he can to protect Sasuke. And that Katsuki & Sasuke meeting would certainly be...something alright. ;)

the butterfliessssss namii and zoroooo!!!! how did luffy die in the first timeline? was it traumatizing for the crew? or did he go out laughing?

I'm considering two options atm! Either way, Luffy didn't achieve his dream, and a world without him was completely unacceptable for them, so! Time travel ;)
