oh man i just realized that my adventures with superman cast a woman of colour to voice kara and the show has been changing the character designs to fit how the voice actor's appearance (which im super on board with and think is epic, i really REALLY hope they do it with kara cuz that would rule) BUT this means we are 100% going to hear the WORST opinions ever from people who think """"blackwashing"""" is a thing

Gentle reminder that very little fandom labor is automated, because I think people forget that a lot.

That blog with a tagging system you love? A person curates those tags by hand.

That rec blog with a great organization scheme and pretty graphics? Someone designed and implemented that organization scheme and made those graphics.

That network that posts a cool variety of stuff? People track down all that variety and queue it by hand, and other people made all the individual pieces.

That post with umpteen links to helpful resources, and information about them? Someone gathered those links, researched the sources, wrote up the information about them.

That graphic about fandom statistics? Someone compiled those statistics, analyzed them, organized them, figured out a useful way to convey the information to others, and made the post.

That event that you think looks neat? Someone wrote the rules, created the blogs and Discords, designed the graphics, did their best to promo the event so it'd succeed.

None of this was done automatically. None of it just appears whole out of the internet ether.

I think everyone realizes that fic writing and fanart creation are work, and at least some folks have got it through their heads that gif creation and graphics and moodboards take effort, and meta is usually respected for the effort that goes into it, at least as far as I've seen, but I feel like a lot of people don't really get how much labor goes into curation, too.

If people are creating resources, curating content, organizing the creations of others, gathering information, and doing other fandom activities that aren't necessarily the direct action of creation, they're doing a lot of fandom labor, and it's often largely unrecognized.

Celebrate fan work!

To folks doing this kind of labor: I see you, and I thank you. You are the backbones of our fandoms and I love you.

Tripedal Curosianiun

Also known as a 'Kryptonian Dragon', it is a gigantic prehistoric Kryptonian animal, approximately one mile long. In addition to its main head, it possesses smaller heads on its paws that can act fully independently from it even when it is unconscious. Despite its extremely large size, it is very fast and its prehensile tail is capable of swiftly and dexterously dealing with human-sized targets.

It seems to possess osteoderm plates similar to those of crocodilians covering most of its skin in addition to structures similar to feathers on its wings, paws, and heads.

Though it is cited as a prehistoric animal, Kara Zor-El does not find it odd for one to be alive in present-day Krypton, suggesting it is an example of a living fossil, such as coelacanths are on Earth.

So I saw someone say that in the new show Kryptonian sounds Italian, but i think it's rather latin!

Jor-El calls Clark "Filio" all the time, and with "Filius" being the Latin word for "son" it immediately reminded me of it. (Yeah it could also be from the Italian "Figlio", but the pronunciation is more latin)

Towards the last few sentences it even sounds more like Dutch, 'cause the language is becoming more comprehensible over time, aka more English is put in the mix.

At one point Jor-El literally says something like "the AI is learning as we speak"

This blog has been an idea of mine for a long time now, as I've always been fascinated with alien worlds and the DC Universe, and there's never been a good guide that collects the tidbits of information we get on Krypton in one place -- which is what we intend to do here with this blog.

We intend to cover information about Krypton's culture, fauna and flora here from every version of it, comics and adaptations included. As such we will include information on versions some of you may not like.
