If April 14th is the day that Game Of Thrones Season 8 starts…then May 19th (the day that the last episode airs) is the day that Sansa Stark will win everything she could ever imagine. Put it on your calendar guys because that day years from now will forever be known as the anniversary of her coronation!!!

Thoughts on Jonnel One-Eye Stark and Sansa Stark

Or: I swear Jonsas didn’t even make this up.

Better Jonsas than me have talked about this but I felt like putting this together. Quick recap: Stark family tree features a Jonnel “One-Eye” Stark married to Sansa Stark. Obviously, we have a Jon and a Sansa so pretty clear connection. The most mind-blowing things to me:

The prologue of ADWD has a skinchanger/warg who dies and at the moment of his death wargs into a wolf, considered to be (rather obvious) foreshadowing to Jon–widely believed to warg into his own wolf at the moment of his death, which is also in ADWD. The wolf’s name that the guy wargs into in the prologue? One Eye. 

I know there are some j/d shippers that try to argue that Jonnel One-Eye Stark married to Sansa Stark is actually j/d foreshadowing because they’re uncle/niece. I find it incredibly strange though, they often don’t even acknowledge it would, at the very least, have jonsa as a red herring. Instead, we’re delusional for even considering a connection to Jon and Sansa, which is just, like I said, weird. The uncle/niece is also a little more interesting than such interpretation allows: Jonnel One-Eye Stark was his wife Sansa’s half-uncle. Because Jonnel was a half sibling to Sansa’s dad: which is just what our Jon and Sansa think they are. The amount of shared DNA between a half-uncle/niece? The same as first cousins, which is just what our Jon and Sansa are in truth. So Jonnel One-Eye Stark/Sansa Stark marriage also invokes both half siblings and cousins–making the connection stronger.

Additionally there is the fact that Waymar–widely acknowledged by fandom to be meaningfully connected with Jon–comes back as a wight with only one working eye. To connect this with Sansa even more: she fell in love with Waymar! And if you think GRRM wouldn’t have such straightforward foreshadowing in family lineages, there is (in the Frey line) a Rhaegar Frey with a son named Jonnos.

If j/d or j/a shippers had a Jonnel Stark married to a Daeny or Arya, they would claim their ship is already canon. Yet Jonsas are delusional for thinking this means anything at all.

All of which is a long way to say: I am fucking done, George. I need answers!

Why Jon Snow Deserves Better

I��ve been knockin some thoughts around the ole noggin and I think I can finally explain the root of what bothers me about Jon going beyond the Wall with Tormund and gang for no real reason…it’s just a totally (and oxymoronic) incomplete conclusion to his Hero’s Journey…and here’s why Jon Snow deserves better.

Jon’s been coping his whole life with the fact that he was born a bastard, that he will in actuality hold no influence (because of his birth), that he additionally deserves no place of influence or belonging (because he feels unworthy), and his future is destined for obscurity.

His ascension through the Night’s Watch should represent a counter argument to all of his assumptions. He really is of noble birth. He is clearly leadership material. He is chosen for power because people believe in him. His fame grows even if his own opinion of himself does not.

Jon is unknowingly becoming the exact opposite of how he sees himself. So you might think “well then isn’t it poetic that he ends up where he thought all along?” to which I’d say that symmetry does not always mean satisfying or, more importantly, fitting of a Hero’s Journey.

A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without let-up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again.

8. Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can get to a hospital.

9. Tell as many other people as possible about this. It could save their lives!!

10. A cardiologist says If everyone who gets this mail kindly sends it to 10 people, you can bet that we’ll save at least one life.

Do you ever just step back from the clusterfuck that was GOT S8 and realize the endgame was Jon Snow slaying a dragon for Sansa Stark, the girl who was reviled by fandom for 20 years for her love of the songs, and just laugh and laugh and laugh…

When Harry the heir asked alayne for her favor she refused to give him. I think this might foreshadows that she will not going to marry him. Plus the way he make comments on cissy how she became fat as cow after birthing him daughter was very rude. He is truly mini Robert baratheon. I know he is better than pedos Sansa encounter and apologize to her but he is still an ass. And Sansa is still a child at 13. Do you remember the age of Harry?

I think he’s supposed to be 4-5 years older than Sansa. Not a huge age gap by canon standards, though “Alayne” should still be considered young to bear children. I don’t think that match was ever meant to happen, though. There are just too many things that make me believe Harry is doomed.

I hope it’s not too soon, though, because I actually like him as a secondary character. His is self important and sexist, but he also isn’t a genuine monster like the other men who have taken an interest in Sansa previously, which is at the very least a refreshing change (And while his behaviour towards Sansa has certainly been awful, I also can’t really blame the heir of the Eyrie for not jumping at the idea of marrying the bastard daughter of some upstart politician).

I’ve never thought of Sansa refusing his favour as foreshadowing before, but I’ve always really loved that scene. I know some see it as Sansa beginning to play the game and weaponize her sexuality, and it’s truly disturbing that people seem to think this makes Sansa a more interesting character.

But what I also see in that scene is a Sansa who finally gets to bring out the witty side of her, and that snarky humour that’s previously been buried under layers of courtesy. I actually think Alayne is more Sansa than Sansa ever allowed herself to be.

I also see a Sansa that doesn’t go about the task of charming Harry quite the way Littlefinger wanted; she is going by her own intuition, and that seems to be working so far, and it makes me wonder at all the people who seem to believe that Sansa is going to stay firmly under Littlefinger’s thumb.
