one thing about orpheus and eurydice is you guys are all like “i’m different i wouldnt turn to look at her” because you are all familiar with the story of orpheus and eurydice. but orpheus wasnt familiar with the story because he was in it lol.

#see i've read the myth in a few different styles #and i always thought it wasnt so much grief but like ... common sense not to put all his trust in a god? #bc in one of the versions i've read Orpheus keeps talking to Eurydice and she remains silent #and he starts doubting whether she's truly following him or not #so i dont see it as grief but having that nagging feeling of 'oh no this is too easy something's wrong' #also it's so weird to see this post just as i finished talking to a friend about my Orpheus-Pushing Daisies theory lmao #creepy.x
