We use metaballs for a lot of the visuals in Ordia. We also integrated with Unity’s UI system so we can build, animate and layout screens with them!

One of the tools we’ve built for Ordia is this grass system. Each sprite interacts with the players movement, all rendered in a single draw call. Supports thousands on screen thanks to the new job system in Unity.
