We're at the beach, for a much needed little vacation.

These pictures were taken at 6am when nobody but us was at the beach. Really refreshing!

Loki was even swimming for some seconds even though he is normally a bit afraid of waves.

42) How often do you give your dogs a bath?

Loki hates bathtime. So a full bath will only take place like once a year. He doesn't really get dirty or likes to roll around in mud or carcasses. But I have dry shampoo that I use a few times a year, also for better combability.

70) Does your dog like to swim?

Nope. Swimming is scary... As long as there is an easy entrance to a body of water he likes to splash around in it. But only as long as his paws can touch the ground.

40) What's the worst thing your dog has ever eaten?

Human poop! So disgusting! Was just laying around at our normal walking route through a very small forest.

41) Nail clippers, Dremels, files, or something else?

Something else ;) We have a scratch board where Loki shortens his claws with the help of a lot of treats himself. And he is taking care of his thumbnails himself, I think he is chewing them off.

71) Does your dog bark at TV doorbells?

No, not at TV doorbells, just real life doorbells.

72) Where is your favourite place to spend time with your dog?

Hiking through forests, on mountains or at the beach, preferably with no humans in sight, because humans are annoying.

And cuddling together in bed while he dreams and I'm reading.

Loki is my first ever dog, so for now I believe he is my heart dog.

6) Did you grow up with dogs?

Sadly not. We never even had another pet. I was the first to bring a pet (dog) into the family. Soon after my big sis got herself two dogs of her own.

24) What's your dogs favourite toy?

Maybe the Kong Wobbler because it involves food ;) Otherwise he is quite fond of a cat toy in the form of a ballshaped cat with a tail and a bell and catnip inside. Whoever said that Eurasier dogs are half cat are right, I can confirm! :D

4) Do you have plans to add another dog to the family?

Honestly, I would love to! But there are factors that are working against that. For example, my mom needs to comply with that, because she dogsits Loki while I am at work. And she is totally against having another dog to pay attention to. Also financially wise it's not possible right now.

But maybe in the future, when my living circumstances are different and also my boyfriend complies, we will get another dog.

9) Your favourite breed?

For now it has to be Eurasier ;) I don't know a lot of breeds personally but would love to get to know Malamutes and Berger Blanc Suisse.

10) Your least favourite breed?

Maybe black labs... Just because all that we met so far were quite agressive and Loki is afraid of them...

17) Do your dogs compete in conformation?

Yes, Loki was competing in conformation a few times. Pretty successful if I dare say. Biggest success was Best of Show competing against at least 30 other beautiful males of different breeds.

But nowadays he's neutered and therefore not allowed to compete anymore, which is fine with me. We made fun memories there, even though it was also stressful.

18) Your favourite trick your dog knows?

In the winter it's always "Close the door", because it's cold and the warmth from the heater shouldn't disappear out of the room. But Loki always opens the door a little bit when entering and exiting the living room. So he has to close the door behind him.

Nevertheless an alltime favourite is "Einparken" which translates to "you need to park your butt between my legs and sit down". It's a very useful trick.
