just me voicing my thoughts on an anti’s apology

So, about that adult anti who attempted to dox a 13 year old over fiction…Well, she posted an apology recently and….

It’s not great. 

At least to me, it isn’t.

(For the sake of simplicity, I’m going to be referring to @/amberlotl & @/AgainAgony as Amber & Madam, respectively.)

In one part, Amber states that while she did threaten to dox Madam & said nasty things, she didn’t go through with the dox. To me, this doesn’t make it better. Sure, Amber didn’t go through with the dox, yes, but she still made nasty remarks about Madam & THREATENED TO DOX HER. 

Reminder that Amber is 18. She’s an adult. Madam is 13! She’s a fucking kid! And Amber threatened to dox her! Just imagine how scared & upset Madam must have been, seeing these grown-ass adults making threats of violence towards her & plotting to dox her over something as minuscule & inconsequential as fiction! That shit is fucked, yo. This whole part pissed me off so damn much. Amber should’ve known better than to say something like that. 

What makes it even worse is that Amber herself was doxxed before & knows what it’s like! Yet she still found it appropriate to threaten Madam with getting doxxed & make nasty comments. SMH, this woman….

Towards the end of this “apology”, Amber says to Madam that they should “just move on from this situation and learn to grow up as better people as we go”. Grow up? Grow up?! Says the woman who started this whole fucking charade in the first place! You don’t get to try & hurt a kid over fiction & then say to said kid (you know, the kid you willingly tried to harm in your little crusade to be moral) to “move on & learn to grow up” from almost getting DOXXED over fiction. Fucking hell, Madam could have some serious trauma now over this incident & you have the fucking balls to ask her to “move on” from something as harmful as doxxing.

In conclusion?

This apology is garbage. Fuck Amber and her little gang of bullies, support Madam.

The minor was making proshipping fanfictions, which I recognize as bad, but Chickenlotl and a handful of others threatened the minor with doxxing.

An 18 year old ADULT, threatening to doxx a 13 year old CHILD.

Yes, proshipping is bad, but DOXXING is so much worse.

All I have to say about this is: please do not associate me with Chickenlotl, and please do not ask me to draw anymore Hamford.

I am, unfortunately, the person stuck in the conflict with pro-shippers vs antis on Twitter. More specifically, the Amberlotl situation.

I decided to write this post because I want to express my point of view, what I think about this whole drama, and what are my personal feelings. I want to do this here because on Twitter I couldn't.

I'll explain firstly how this happened at the very beginning.

I come from the fandom of "Madness Combat". Being in this fandom made me understand what kind of people I was getting myself into. The fandom is hypocritical and chaotic, careless and indifferent with other people's feelings.

They were perfectly fine with gore and other horrible crimes, but they always drew the line at any other immoral topics.

Seeing how people in the fandom behaved pissed me off disgracefully. I saw the way pro-shippers were being treated and how much hate was on their backs. Then it hit me... What if I wrote problematic fanfiction about two Madness Combat characters? One of them being a minor and the other an adult.

I wanted to be the person who represented the pro-shippers community inside the Madness Combat fandom. I wanted the fear of getting harassed over fiction to be over. It was so frustrating and saddening seeing how people were too scared to post their creations online for the fear they could get harassed.

I acknowledged I was only one individual and didn't have that much power, but I knew if I dared to do something about it then I could perhaps make a difference.

The moment I posted the fics I took responsibility and understood that I will get tons of death threats and harassment. And the result was? 100+ comments in one day, 90% of them were hate comments full of atrocities.

Little did they know, none of the comments made me back up on my decision, so I decided to write even more... Until one night, a kind-hearted person announced me in the comments that some individuals were planning on doxxing me.

At first, I was confused, but only the thought of it made me shiver. I refused to believe it had come to the point where people can't share their works or thoughts online because some people would consider it "immoral".

I discussed with the person in Discord DMs about the problem. They showed me multiple screenshots as proof of what those people were planning on.

I didn't post all of the screenshots on Twitter, only the ones who showed what they were planning on. The other screenshots that weren't posted were showing them being straight-up jerks, talking about how pro-shippers should die, etc.

You could just imagine.

The things shown in the screenshots were so disappointing. They were describing how they wanted to punch me in the throat. All of this because I wrote fanfic they didn't like.

The person who announced me and a couple of other individuals reported them that night, and thankfully, they got banned.

The day they got banned one of my friends showed me how one of the people who tried doxing me was complaining on Twitter about how their Discord account got banned due to some "stuff" they refused to talk about.

I looked at the replies to their complaint and then, at that exact moment, something snapped in me. I'm not even going to exaggerate, something fucking snapped inside me.

The disgust I had for that person. They had the balls to complain about their account getting deleted while ignoring what they were intending to do. People were fucking babying them in the comments acting like nothing happened.

Then I did it. I made a new account just to show the fandom how their so-beloved popular artist was capable of even considering doxing someone.

I was intending only for the Madness Combat fandom to know about this, but. the fact that most of the people feeling bad about me were pro-shippers from other fandoms. The people in the intending fandom didn't even care! They were only saying "Ewww I hate pro-shippers and I don't support them like what the actual fuck! but MAYBE this was a little too far... 🤡". That's all they were capable of saying.

I am truthfully disgusted by this fandom. I love Madness Combat and all of its characters, but the fandom is not gentle with your emotions and it doesn't respect nor care about you. Of course, generalizing might look a little exaggerated as there are people I know who are decent and civilized, but that's the Madness Combat fandom.

I don't regret any of this happening. I don't want to be seen as that "one kid who got doxxed" but as a person with an experience that people can learn from. This is the result of people refusing to take other perspectives. The ideology of antis and their wicked way of thinking.

No words can reward what victims of this kind of stuff go through daily. And even to this day, people are still hating on me, wishing bad things to happen to me, but I don't care.

I know what I am aiming for and I'm determined to go through all of the bullshit antis and frustrated people throw at me. I am strong, and I will never doubt my strength.

I will continue supporting pro-shippers and hopefully be the shoulder they can lay on. I'm not a carpet you can just walk on, I am more than that.

And you, the one reading this, pro-shipper or anti. Please, think firmly before you do something because it might come back to you in the shape of an angel or a demon, depending on what you did.

Receiving one comment of support/love surrounded by hate comments made me realize how much it means and how you have the power of making someone's day just by being kind to them.

I wish I could say more, but I want to remain on my point and not deviate from the subject, so here you go.

The Exaggeration of Problematic Ships

WARNING: Mention of Abuse, Death Threats

Hello! In this post, I will explain my point of view on this whole thing about “problematic ships”.

The reason why I decided to discuss about this kind of subject is because I’m completely tired of seeing people throwing hate and bullying other people over something so harmless.

By the way, excuse me if there will be any grammar mistakes.

First of all, I will explain what “problematic ship”, “pro ship” and what “anti” means

“Problematic ship” means a ship between two or more fictional characters, regardless if they’re abusive, age-gapped, blood-related, or just considered wrong in general. (examples of proships: Sebastian x Ciel, Hisoka x Gon, Endeavor x Todoroki, Bakugo x Deku, Illumi x Killua, etc)

“Pro ship” means to believe it’s completely fine for people to ship whatever they want, even if it’s a problematic ship.

“Anti" means to be against pro shippers.

Now, I will explain why being a pro shipper is completely normal and deserve respect just like all of us.

Never compare fiction with reality. It’s dumb and makes no sense when you compare these two different things in a case like this.

A problematic ship would be bad in real life because it does harm someone. Though, in fiction, nobody gets hurt.

We can do whatever the hell we want in fictional world and no one can tell us what to do, and that’s the beauty of it. We can do whatever we want without caring about anyone else. Telling someone to stop fantasizing about something just because you find it wrong is pointless and dumb

Fiction doesn’t affect reality. At least, not in the way to be considered as dangerous. It’s silly to blame a video game for a person’s actions, the game has no fault. An adult is completely aware of what they are doing, so they should know that any action they take has consequences they must consider. If it’s a child or a minor, then it’s the parents’ fault for not checking up on them and not taking enough care of them.

I understand that it may trigger you and may be a sensitive topic, but it’s not our problem. I don’t want to sound rude, but it’s honestly not our problem. We can create, post, and discuss about whatever we want as long as it’s not harming anyone directly. If it makes you uncomfortable, just block us. It is not up to us to create content that you find enjoyable or at least decent. It’s our posts, our accounts, our lives. We don’t hurt you on purpose.

Don’t say “but it teaches children to behave badly because they saw in a fanfiction it’s okay to be abusive or be fondled by adults!” just no. As I said, the parents should be more responsible with their children and check up on them whenever possible (not as in “spying your child every time you’ve got the opportunity” but you get my point). Also, if you really need to believe that everything displayed in fanfictions is normal/healthy, then you should get proper education.

I am myself a pro shipper, and while I’m not that hardcore of a fan, I still had previous experiences with angry and frustrated antis.

I know it will make me seem like I’m complaining or anything, but this will be an easier way I can guarantee you that people like these exist, since it was in my own experience.

I once wrote a fanfiction that implied pro shipping. I did put warnings in the description and before the story began, but I see that it was useless because people prefer to get triggered and shocked than read the description and pay attention to the warning so they can insult the living shit out of me later on. The next day, I woke up with 20+ hate comments and death threats in the comments.

All of them were horrible, it made me feel like shit and made me wonder why people are like that. Luckily, after a hour or two, I calmed down and realized that I shouldn’t stress on people like these so much. I should take this bad experience and make it something good to teach other people, something that I can give to other people so they can learn from my experience. I was stronger than before. (as cringe as it sounds lol)

At that moment, I realized that people like that barely even care about the real “issue” here. They only see it as a chance to bully someone without looking bad in front of other people. They are so sucked up in their own mind that they think what they’re doing is right.

People like that are the worst. Their morality is corrupted.

Because, their morals is like: it’s not okay to write things like that, but it’s okay to send death threats and bully them”

Don’t get me wrong, it’s completely fine to dislike a ship! I dislike some ships too, but that doesn’t give me the right to go and jump on them like a wild animal.

Not all antis are mean, but most of them are like that. It’s okay to not like something, but don’t make a mess out of it.

Now here are a few examples of frustrated and crazy antis.

Hell, they are so annoying when they put heart emojis at the end of their comment so they can make themselves look quirky and cool. Disgusting, that’s all I have to say about this kind of people.

If you really believe someone is doing something wrong, approach them in a gentle manner and talk respectfully towards them.

I’m sorry if I sounded rude in this post, and remember that you should look in other perspectives too, not in only yours. Even if someone does something wrong (but pro shipping is not the case), then explain to them what they’re doing wrong, not fuck them up.
