did this cuntbag really just try to brush off all the problematic shit that the furry community has done over the years to try to guilt trip me into liking them because... there are queer people in the community? okay? and? i’m queer and just about every online community i’ve been a part of has been the same. i have no obligation to tolerate a community just because it has minorities in it, and the fact that you have to resort to ‘a lot of furries are lgbt so if you hate furries then you’re problematic’ in lieu of, i don’t know, an actual argument just goes to show how you already know it’s a lost battle. also..? why tf would you use the argument of ‘if you hate furries because of 4chan we’ll just don’t because then you’re homophobic.’ what the fuck is that gonna do? they’ll just double down on the homophobia or say that’s another reason why they hate them. it’s already one of the biggest reasons why a lot of 4chan users and people in general dislike furries.

nothing you mentioned was anything particularly special. there are SO many communities who are just as accepting, allow you to explore and find yourself and give a safe space for such things. the furry community is just large and thus better known. the animal sexualization, zoophilia, bestiality and pedophilia and all the other disgusting shit surrounding furries doesn’t just magically disappear because y’all encourage people to find they’re gay through commissioning porn of their fursonas getting fucked up the ass.

the furry community is an online community that is absolutely dense with queer people experimenting with and expressing themselves through their art.

people experimenting with their gender identity is commonplace throughout the fandom to the point where it’s completely normal for trans women to experiment with female presentation online through their fursona and not have everyone judging them for having a penis irl because it’s a community where what you are does not matter as much as who you are

people experimenting with their sexuality is commonplace throughout the fandom to the point where it’s completely normal for straight men to have gay porn done involving their characters and not even blink, or even COMMISSIONING IT, and these men discovering that they’re actually bisexual, pansexual, or even gay without having ever experimented or thought about it until that point. it has outlets for sex-repulsed and asexual individuals to still explore the fringe aspects of their sexuality through characters with no visible genitalia, or completely SFW imagery that still evokes a response. (sidenote, you know all those kinks you love to mock like inflation, and vore? these are the vulnerable people you’re making fun of when you do that)

the furry community is very inherently a space for queer experimentation and discovery. i’m not even going to begin to go into how the furry community culture helps keep artists afloat and alive by encouraging people actually buying and commissioning art
